Zooies Cookies And Ice Cream

Y’all ever had cookies so good it made you wake up from your nap just to go and get it?.. I woke up from my nap and attempted to drive there, GPS said it would take 8 mins and I ended up getting lost for 20 mins. No worries, drove to my boyfriend’s house so he could take me there, when we arrived, there was a sign that says «be back in 30 mins.» I sat in the car and waited til the worker came back, got my cookies and ran out the shop skipping and yelling,“I got my cookies!!“
Yes folks, that was indeed, a true story.
This was my second time coming here and there’s no doubt I’ll be coming back in a couple of days. Their cookies are seriously TO DIE FOR. I love love love desserts but was never a fan of cookies til I’ve had these. They are so moist and delicious! Cookies usually dry out or get really hard after a couple of days, but not these ones, they are still scrumptious as ever!
Chocolate chip walnut– if you love chocolate and nuts this is the PERFECT cookie for you. Decadent and nutty in every bite.
Gooey– this is an extra soft chocolate chip cookie, so so so good, omg.
Cookies and cream– heaven in a cookie, no joke. White chocolate chip mixed with cookie bits makes me want to cry everytime I eat it because it’s so darn good.
I also ordered a scoop of their blueberry cheesecake ice cream and it was just as yummy as their cookies. They also have seasonal flavors for their cookies and ice cream as well so be sure to come back often and you might be able to try some different unique flavors!
FYI, they are located inside a gas station, super random location for a cookie shop but this is probably the nicest gas station I’ve ever seen in my life. Parking is very convenient as they have many spots in front of the shop as well.

Mrs. Fields who?! These are by far the best cookies I’ve ever purchased. It takes a lot of discipline for me to stay away since it’s right down the street. These cookies are big, soft and reasonably priced. I like everything I’ve tried so far, but my favorites involve gooey chocolate chunks.
I can’t speak for the ice cream since I’m always on a cookie mission and prefer fro-​yo shops.
I don’t mind that it’s inside of a gas station… it’s the cleanest gas station I’ve ever been to. I’ve also never had a problem finding parking in the lot, but there is street parking too.
The employees are always nice and helpful, grabbing the freshest cookies, and are sure to let us know when we can get «one more cookie for just 5 dollars!»

I like the location and think it is a great idea to have a cookie shop within a gas station. Most of the offerings at gas stations especially the sweets are poor quality and contain a ton of preservatives. These cookies are made throughout the day to preserve freshness.
Upon walking in I noticed how spotless the shop was and that they had a full kitchen. I asked the girl working about the concept and she told me the wife of the owner of United Oil liked to bake and wanted to open a shop. This was their newest gas station so they decided to try it out in San Diego. They are already on the 13 best chocolate chip cookies in San Diego according to Zagat.
I ordered the gooey chocolate chip; snickerdoodle; oatmeal raisin. All of the cookies were chewy and properly executed. The gooey chocolate chip tasted as though it had just come out of the oven. The snickerdoodle contained cream cheese which gave it a fluffier texture. The oatmeal raisin had the right amount of sweetness.
Zooies is currently the best cookie shop in San Diego.

Zooies serves some pretty good ice cream and some fantastic ice cream, and putting them together, well you have some serious goodness. I had a scoop of chocolate and and vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate chip cookies for $ 3 and some change (

The ice cream was flavorful and creamy. The chocolate had a great mild chocolate flavor but strong enough that its flavor lingered. The vanilla ice cream was excellent with its rich flavor and consistency. The chunks of chocolate chip cookies were bliss. The soft morsels were filled with large chocolate chips and the cookie portions tasted great and had just enough crunch to add some nice texture (

The young lady who was running the shop was very nice and offered me a few tasters. The shop is located inside a gas station with no seating, something I wish they had because I had to eat my ice cream in the car.

We wanted good cookies, and it was around 9pm, so we decided to grab a few. Of course they were out of the s’more cookies, but that’s understandable due to the time of day. The gas station had a lot of cars, which made it difficult to maneuver to the 4 parking spots up front. (2 being occupied) I have a truck, which was not easy to squeeze in a stall, on a uneven slope, a few feet from a gas pump, with cars driving by. When I finally parked, I was curious to what genius designed the layout. Hmmmm, a definite terrible location for a cookie place.
The cookies are good, and girl working was friendly and nice, so my review will remain decent. But the location and parking situation is why I decided to decrease my review rating from a 5 to a 3.
Other than the parking and location, this place is worth checking out. The cookies are pre-​packaged and not bad for a little over a $ 1.50 a cookie. Cookies have good flavor and are of a good size.
The cookies here are amazing! The birthday cake and snicker doodle cookie were yummy. They didn’t have any s’more cookies. (Which is why I made the trip) But the cookies I did get made up for it. Good cookies, bad location. It’s hidden next to a gas station, but thanks to Unilocal I found it. The sign should NOT be red, blends with the 76 sign. It should stand out more.

Found this place off of Unilocal and we loved it! The lady helping us was very friendly and gave us recommendations. We went a little before closing so they didn’t have all the cookies and flavors able but nonetheless it was still delicious.
I got the ice cream sandwich with one side cookies n crème and the other chocolate chip walnut with vanilla bean ice cream.
It came out to be like 4.25 and it was actually pretty big! Definitely well worth it!
Like other reviews stated, this is in the 76 gas station. Compared Baked Bear in PB, I definitely would choose this place. The cookies and ice cream are made everyday and they give you larger servings here.
The friendly worker also gave me and my sister each an extra cookie of the espresso chocolate chip to take home!

We found this hidden gem on Unilocal searching for an ice cream place around the area. This was tucked away inside a 76 gas station food mart… it seemed VERY out of place!
Don’t judge too soon though — I think their cookies can compete with good ol’ Uncle Biffs and The Cravory (almost!). We ordered chocolate chip, s’mores and a snickerdoodle cookie. The cookies are pretty big, chewy and not too sweet — especially the s’mores with its marshmallow cream/​spread on top. I also wanted to try the cookies and cream ice cream, but they were out of it. They were only serving 3 types of ice cream that day — which was a bit disappointing, but the cookie chunk ice cream was there FTW!
Definitely check this place out to satisfy your sweet tooth on a budget

This place is gourmet as hell! That’s a good thing, of course. Every single cookie I tried here was easily one of the too 10 I’ve had in my entire life.
It’s a little weird too because this place is inside a gas station. But once you get past that, it’s one of the best cookie and ice cream spots you’ll ever discover.
I had a ice cream sandwich (more like NICE cream sandwich) with a chocolate chip walnut cookie, a cookies n cream cookie, and cookie chunk ice cream. EASILY the best ice cream sando I’ve ever had. I would actually not recommend this though because of the size of them (big), unless you’re on munchie mode 3000.
Next time I go here, I’ll probably just get a few cookies to go. Maybe a bakers dozen for a party.
I hope this place does well because they are super good at their craft!

You have to keep an open mind when you pull up to the gas station. Gas station?! Yes. Gas station. After spending a long day at Fan Fest, we decided to chase our Lolita’s lunch with something sweet. A good friend of ours suggested we all (three families) take a trip to «the best cookie shop ever» (with raised eyebrows). I always try to downplay the phrase «the best _​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​» in case I’m disappointed by whatever it is the «best» I’m trying… So far, it’s the best.
I have yet to try the Cravory, a highly suggested place by my beastie and his cute wife, so I’m going to have to review this place again, after trying theirs.
When you walk in, it’s total night and day. Gas station/​mart to the left and cookie heaven to the right. We ordered all of what they had left before the next batch of cookies were to go in the oven.
I ordered two cookies: chewie & snickerdoodle, both of which were under $ 4.00. They were out of the gooey, which I was able to taste because my friend gave me one of the five she ordered.
Are the cookies good? Heaven yes. Don’t believe me… make that trip to see for yourself.

I was a little surprised to find that this place was at a gas station, but it was a pretty fancy mart. This place is on your right as you walk in, and it’s definitely a very clean place. They have a deal plastered on the wall that says 4 cookies for $ 5 right now, so I got that with my boyfriend.
I really liked the cookies because they were pretty soft and delicious, but it was obvious that it’s been sitting there for a while. I also got a scoop of ice cream with it, and the ice cream was okay. I didn’t think that the ice cream was amazing or anything. I like this place a little more than Baked Bear solely because of the cookies, but I was a little sad that the cookies weren’t warm. However, the place was clean and the worker was super patient with me when I was deciding what to pick.

In for some dessert! Located inside a gas station in the «we got it» food market. Although the location is weird, the cookies shine and will have you returning for more.
Every time we visit this place we leave with a dozen. The cookies are soft and chewy, a consistency i favor when buying cookies.
Despite the location these cookies are definitely of gourmet quality and way above average. They will surely surprise you.
The peanut butter cookie is delicious, its the flavor i opt to try in most cookie shops because it’s my favorite. It packed a great peanut butter flavor, was soft and chewy rolled in sugar with a milky undertone of flavor. The smores cookie was just as amazing! A chocolate cookie with a large marshmallow top, it was sooo good! A great alternative to bring around a bonfire. Definitely one of the sweeter ones but one you must try. I favored the their diabetic cookie, a chocolate chip cookie made with splenda and sugar-​free chocolate chips. It was as good as any of the chocolate chip versions available.
This place has many flavors offered and all of them are delectable creations. All very different, but none disappointing. This place is one to be added on a fellow foodies list of places to try. You’ll leave sweeter, an pleasantly surprised. I promise!

My boyfriend and I had a serious cookie craving but only to find out the other two places we usually go to was already closed. Thus, thanks to Unilocal as always we found another place to go to! Who would of thought to put a cookie shop inside a gas station mart?! seriously genius. Can they please do this for the rest of the 76 gas station mart because that would be awesome. Anyways, the decoration of the shop is simple but cute. The display of cookies obviously caught our eyes and the size of the cookies to, man they were not some small dinky sized cookies but rather a fist sized! Anyways for $ 5 you get 4 cookies and we got 8 cookies for $ 10 which is pretty much a fantastic deal. I was bummed that they didn’t have cookies n cream left but I was very pleased with the birthday cake cookie! All the cookies were delicious! I can’t wait to come back to try more and hopefully get my hands on the cookies n cream one!

You’d never guess that such a cute little cookie «store» located in a gas station would have such yummy cookies! There was quite a bit of flavors to choose from. we ended up getting 2 ice cream sandwiches. The cookies are huge, chewy, and cheap! There’s a 4 for $ 5 deal going on right now… I’m glad I got the vanilla ice cream because any other flavor would be too sweet with my s’mores and seasonal cookie. My bf got the salted caramel ice cream with a cookies and cream cookie that was fresh from the oven and the other cookie flavor was called a «chewy» cookie. I had a few bites, but it was too sweet for me. There were also some mini samples of the a few cookies on the counter. The area is kind of ghetto and a far drive for me, but if you’re around downtown, stop by for a cookie or two– you won’t be disappointed!

I’m a cookie scientist. I «experiment» with the best cookies I can find in all the cities I travel to so anytime I hear of an interesting place in SD of course ill have to try a dozen.
Located inside the We Got It! Food Mart of a United Oil gas station, the cookie shop is a cutesy place with a giant curved white display case with pink and red accents. The cookies are soft baked and the ice creams are house made. All music to my ears. The standouts were the snickerdoodles with a sweet cream cheese folded into the dough and the chewy chocolate chip cookie that has faint notes of caramel. The price for a mixed dozen was under $ 18 after tax and the cookies are comparable to Uncle Biff’s and The Cravory, both immaculate confectioneries. Worth a trip to this bizarre spot if you get that cookie craving I’m all too familiar with. Cookie cookiee cookieee! Nom nom nom

Each cookie is priced less than $ 2 which beats out Cravory and uncle biff’s in terms of pricing (I only picked those 2 because those are the other cookie competitors that I hold high regards for in my heart!). A dozen cost me roughly $ 17 and some change. Uncle biff’s is about $ 21/​dozen. Cravory is about $ 24/​dozen.
In terms of flavor, I think I might just have to also give this to zooies. They have a good selection to choose from. The cookies and cream was a fan favorite — it had pieces of Oreo and white chocolate chips. The espresso chocolate was also dee-​lish with pieces of espresso beans. Can’t go wrong with any of their chocolate chip cookies. The s’mores was also pretty good. The only one that wasn’t a crowd pleaser was the birthday cake.
In terms of size, this also has to go to Zooies. One cookie was more than plenty. I had to half it with my sister and even half was a large serving size.
You can also get ice cream, which I have yet to try. They also have toppings available.
Buy at least 10 gallons of gas to receive a free cookie!
One of my favorite desserts are cookies and believe me, I am coming back :)

I’ve been craving some cookies since I saw The Cravory opened their doors. However, I didn’t have that much gas to take me there. When I saw on Unilocal that Zooies was closer to home, me, my daughters and dog jumped in the car to get us some cookies.
When I saw that it was in a gas station, I thought it was perfect! I was close to an empty tank, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone!
We decided to get the 4 for $ 5, which I think is a good deal since it’s $ 1.49 each plus another cookie and some ice cream.
On this trip, we thought all the cookies were yummy but our favorites ended up being the espresso chocolate chip and the gooey. My daughter liked her s’mores cookie. I didn’t really care for the chewie, which is made with whole wheat, chocolate chips and caramel chips. The birthday cake cookie was good too, basically a pretty good sugar cookie.
The cookies and cream ice cream was good. Not as sweet as some other cookies and cream ice cream. They mentioned that all their ice creams are made in house.
This quick sweet tooth run was well worth it AND I was able to get gas for my car too!

Pretty good use of a gas station. I was surprised when I found the place, but its pulled off very well. Awesome customer service, cool looking display, and most importantly, damn good cookies. Me and the wife got a baker’s dozen to try out most of cookies. Can’t figure out my favorite (eating 1 as I’m typing this), definitely give this place a try.
Also, saw a sign, if you buy 10 gallons of gas, get a free cookie!

O. o, I may have just found a local San Diego substitute to the notorious Westwood Village cookie shop! This, is dangerous…
My first bite of the espresso chip had me humming «mmmmmm». It was perfectly baked and not overwhelmingly sweet for my very particular sweet tooth. It has a simple, classic delicious thing going on. Plus at $ 1.49 each… it definitely mimics that of Diddy Reese’s concept of good, cheap, yummy treats. Unlike that Uncle Billy’s or whatever spot in Hillcrest that I heard charges pretty much the same per bite. Noo thanks!
The location is quite odd, though. It’s inside a convenience store at a gas station. It’s a totally separate business, so don’t get turned off. They aren’t the ones that are just sitting there next to the hot dogs and donuts; no grease monkey or gas station attendant will be handing over these cookies to you. This is like a little Mrs. Field’s with it’s own employee and storefront type layout.
I definitely will be back… just not too soon. Sadly, my body doesn’t like sugar as much as my taste buds do. Oh wait… they do have a diabetic friendly cookie!
Yeah…that just doesn’t sound too good. Hehe. I’ll stick with the regular gluten, sugar full ones for now.

Fresh cookies and brownies baked throughout the day on site. I did expect much since it’s in a gas station but boy was I wrong. I bought about five different baked goods changing to find maybe one of them that I would like. Hell, all of them were great! Guess who will be back soon?
