History

Established in 1973.

I began by studying the ancient art of hand painted lettering on trucks, boats, race cars and signs. Self taught I Iearned thru observing the various old masters techniques and styles. Record Album cover art in the mid to late sixties produced some of the wildest lettering styles ever conceived and that along with my obsesson for drag racing fueled my passion for custom lettering .

The name «Quicksilver» is a dedication to the style of lettering the late great Rick Griffin used in1968 on the first record album cover art he did for the legendary «Quicksilver Messenger Service“and was my initial inspiration.

I purchased my first Airbrush in 1973 to add color gradation and highlights to my lettering and soon discovered I could paint finely

detailed murals on Vans, walls, etc.

Hand Painted Pin Striping was next to be mastered and soon I became a «Pinstriper»

It’s been a long and interesting journey and I still look forward every day to my next masterpiece.

I’m an artist self taught in the ancient art of Pin striping and custom sign painting. Also I have mastered gold and silver leaf techniques as well as airbrushing. Home base is San Dimas California. Creating new and eye popping art and design is what I love to do. As a true gear head I also love to build and race fast and powerful machines and I’m always looking to improve upon anything that comes my way wether it’s art, design or building horsepower.
