Vista Paint & Wallcovering

Been here twice now and both times the staff was snidy, grumpy, and not helpful in the least. They definitely didn’t care about getting our business and it was obvious. I highly recommend you skip this place and go literally across the street to Sherwin Williams. The guys over there are friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. If you join Sherwin Williams’ free perks program they have 40% off sales all the time. Not that it matters but on Sundays they even offer free donuts/​muffins and coffee. Unlike here at Vista Paint at Sherwin Williams they appreciate your business and it shows! I would give them zero stars but unfortunately Unilocal does now allow for such a rating.

I usually just don’t review any stores because most stores I visit are positive. However, this one is different and I could not let this one go. I’ve been to this vista paint two times within this year and I must say I don’t know why I keep going here. My first time I went in looking for paint and wanted to recycle my old paints. Once I walked in no one offered to help or even said hello until 15 minutes after. I understand if the store is busy then waiting for help is understandable, but if there are only two customers inside the store then there’s no need for customer service to decrease. Because no one had helped me, I just left the store to Sherwin William across the street.
Now the second time I visited the store i had another painting project at home that I needed to complete, and I decided to give place a second try. Big mistake. I had more gallons of paint to recycle and more to purchase. Once I walked I had a question to ask. With a smart remark from the clerk he said, «Isn’t that what it says on the door!» I was thinking myself «wow this asshole» because all I asked was is the recycle tank full and when will it be emptied. I quickly walked out and went straight to Sherwin Williams. At least at Sherwin Williams I get great customer service, great staff who knows how to talk and joke with customers, free coffee, and great prices on paint. If anyone has a painting job to do, save your time and don’t go to vista paint.

Last week I went in with an old gallon of oil based enamel. I wanted a quart of water based flat surface paint, in the same color. I said that I realized that mixing a quart in the right color would probably be harder than replicating the color for a gallon. My receipt says that David helped me. He patiently looked up the formula and made a quart of paint for me. When he checked the color, he saw that it was a little too yellow, rather than the green that I wanted. I hadn’t complained or commented, but he added a little green and mixed it again. He still thought it was too yellow, so he added more green and mixed again. This time it was perfect. He did all this for a quart of paint and without my having complained. This sort of care is why I go to Vista Paint.

Been in there a few times to get different colors of paints. Some of the staff is really helpful and some are not. Kinda like your on your own and they just want you money. I still go back due to it close to house. Hopefully my next few experiences will improve.
