In a nutshell $ 20 for a trim is outrageous then you throw horrible service in the mix and this place is an all out winner. The workers here are ridiculously rude and super prejudice. I will never come back here and will continue to speed the word that they are horrible.

I’ve been coming to this barber shop for over 10 years now and Esperanza always does a great job. The people there are always so nice and welcoming. It’s worth the 1 hour drive I have to make to get here.

If you live in Van Nuys, this is where you should be getting your haircut. They’re consistent and quick, which is what I am looking for.
They’re also very nice.
Do yourself a favor and get a sugar cookie at Rose bakery when you’re dine.

My hair finally became so unruly, I was either going to join the lost boys from «Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome» or disappear into the woods like Mowgli.
To tame my mop, I only settle for Esmeralda to cut it. She is sweet and friendly and is an amazing snipper. She’s very excellent at her craft and understands hair is very important. Having it. Losing it. Shampooing it (which I almost never do, like an unwashed post-​apocalyptic soldier).
A brilliant cut as usual. Shampoo and cut $ 20. Pretty awesome. Also, I didn’t realize how great a cut it was until I got home and fell asleep and woke up, not realizing I’d gotten a haircut, saw my bed head in mirror and thought to myself «I’d do me.» Like that creep from «Silence of The Lambs» (sans junk tuck).

The last time I went to Shears was in 1998 for a flat-​top, and it was fine, but the lady who did my hair gave me some razor burns as a result. I hope she has gotten better with her flat-​top technique.

Great service and a great cut. I’ve lived in Van Nuys since August and have been searching for a place that’s reasonably priced and where they do a great job. I was shopping next door at Fresh & Easy and noticed the sign for Shears. I stopped in the next day for a haircut and was very happy with the results as well as the price. The lady who cut my hair was very friendly and did a great job. It’s easy to overlook in the shopping center, but it’s definitely worth stopping in. I’ll be going back regularly from now on.
