Went here few days ago and was beyond amaze on the service they have provided. Daisy and Denis are the best ever! They are super nice and proffesional. They would help you with the best they can. They both answered all my questions completely and patiently. Its a small place– yet has everything I need!

Everything you need for your leather hobby is here. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They took the time to show me options and answered my many questions.

I walked into this store knowing nothing about leather. I had a list of 4 choices that our client had provided so we can make photobooks. Daisy the manager really knew her store. She was more helpful then I ever expected. I left the store 100% confident that this was the right choice.

I recently visited the Tandy Store in NoHo for a granite square which was on SALE and a bag of leather scraps to practice on. I inherited a bunch of leather tools from my mother and I was eager to get started using her tools. Larry, a sales representative, was extremely kind and helpful. As was Daisy on the phone. They have a wonderful selection of everything you need to learn Leather Craft or for anyone who has been doing leather work for a while. My mom would have loved that store! Tandy is awesome! Knowledgable/​helpful staff, full inventory of everything leather-​craft, and cheap Saturday workshops for simple projects. I would recommend this store to anyone interested in leather work. They also have a membership club that makes everything even cheaper!

What a GREAT place for any leather crafting. I can’t imagine getting into leather crafts and not paying this place a visit as it has an EXTENSIVE inventory of tools, hooks, buttons, stamps & everything you would need to create anything with leather.
I am new to leather craft as a friend recently picked it up as a hobby. Having only visited Sav-​Mor Leather in DTLA (highly recommended by the way), this is a nice change as it’s really organized and a more polished store as opposed to a leather warehouse.
The staff is nice & friendly. They are very knowledgable & approachable which is good.
Not too sure how prices range on a grand spectrum of things as most of these items can be bought used on eBay. My take on it– it’s just nice to have brand new tools to work in to. I’d pay the extra amount to get these new tools and they are each nicely packaged.
Overall: this is an all inclusive leather store. It’s like a Michaels craft store but just for leather and a lot smaller haha. Definitely check this place out

I walked into this store a novice and left with the confidence that I could complete my project, and was even offered assistance if I wasn’t able to! I told Dale what I was looking to do and he helped me gather all of the items that I needed, as well as giving me some very helpful advice. I really appreciated the great customer service I was given, which seems to be increasingly difficult to find these days.
The store itself carried everything that I needed and then some. As a newbie, I found myself looking at all of the amazing things around the store, already thinking of future projects. I definitely look forward to coming back!

Where do I begin? With the 3 Ds of course. Daisy, Dolores and Dale – oh how I heart these three. I came in at the suggestion of another Unilocal review and was not disappointed.
I came in to purchase some hardware to place the final touches on some bags for my recently opened Etsy shop (insert shameless plug for business in 3…2.1…):
and walked out with a SHEET of cow hide that was on sale instead. One born every minute…
I told the gang what I was up to and they encouraged me to bring my bags in to trade design secrets (Daisy and Dolores are designers of amazing bags as well). I did and not only were they SO encouraging and the biggest cheerleaders, they even helped me decipher the types of leather to enhance my Etsy descriptions!
Who does that anymore… especially in this age… and asks for NOTHING in return?! This group does. All designers themselves, each offers their own area of expertise and does their best to make their customers’ experience more memorable and efficient.
I HIGHLY recommend this place for your leather needs… or at least some of them. Being an artist in the fashion industry – multiple jaunts to downtown’s dirty, overcrowded and gloomy fashion district are inevitable. Tandy Leather offers a nice respite.

Excellent, friendly and helpful service. Wide selection of leather tools, accessories and leather. As a student I was able to get a discount through my school which is always very helpful!

As much as a love craft stores, this place needs a seriously OCD person to come in and reorganize it.
That being said, I did appreciate the patience of the employees there with my extremely laymen questions.

We usually visit the Ventura location, but this time went to this location to check out their stock of conchos. They have pretty much the same inventory as the Ventura store, and the staff here was similarly friendly and welcoming.
We spent about an hour browsing the inventory, and watched as a customer was dyeing a leather bracelet, getting hands-​on advice from one of the crew.
Picking out our conchos and other items, we exchanged friendly conversation with the staff and were on our merry way!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZEBALLZ!
Not being a crafty person, yet always believing I can do anything, I have embarked on the idea that I can make fashion bracelets, belts, and skirts out of leather and snaps. Uhhohohohoho! Boy was I a babe in the woods. I had NO idea what I was getting myself into.
As other reviewers mentioned, leathercraft is addictive and EXPENSIVE. But Travis and his incredibly knowledgeble friends who hang out there were able to basically give me a free lesson on WTF I was trying to do, and which tools I needed and really didn’t need. I’m not an elite member so I don’t get the deep discounts there, so I kept my purchases to the necessities and I now am empowered to actually make these crazy crafts by myself.

Never thought I would be a such a store, but was pleasantly surprised to not only find what I was looking for, but the exact help and service that I needed. Daisy is an excellent sales associate and helped me more than I could have asked for or expected.

That path that led me into leathercraft is quite long, but it really didn’t go anywhere seriously until this past January.
I had an old leather briefcase that I needed to repair with a new piece of leather, so I made my way to Tandy Leather Factory. I went back a second time for some hardware, and the manager Travis showed me how to apply a cover rivet, and how to dome it. I mentioned to him that the piece of leather I used to fix my bag was nicer than the leather used on the bag, and jokingly I said I should just rebuild the entire bag. He said, «Why not?»
Why not, indeed?
I’ve easily spent $ 1000 since that time on leather, hardware, thread, and literature about leatherworking — mostly from this store and the larger Baldwin Park location. I can’t help but remembering something Travis said to me before I left his store that first time: «Be warned — Leathercraft is addictive!»
I’m very glad I did not heed his warning.

As someone who is just learning leatherworking, Tandy Leather is a one-​stop shop for supplies, materials, tools and advice. The manager is incredibly knowledgeable about everything to do with leathercrafting, and is very willing to provide advice and even demonstrations.
The folks that come to Tandy for their crafting supplies are likewise very friendly and welcoming, and happy to chat about what they’re working on, or what you’re working on. Ok, there’s also the occasional coked-​up porn-​industry-​people buying S&M supplies, but that just adds to the charm. Kind of. Well, the «you’ll never guess what I saw today» factor, anyway.
