History

Established in 2009.

We were always in North Hollywood. We started at a dance studio and built up our students. In 2011 we moved to our current location — our own place!

We study a strict but progressive style of Shotokan Karate — as taught to us by Sensei Nishiyama.

We teach Brazilian Jiu-jitsu as taught by both Machado and Gracie lineages.

VMAC’s Chief karate sensei is Taichiro Kaijima, Chief jiu-jitsu professor is Marcello DePaoli, Kali Tuhon is Nick Papadakis.

Our environment is very friendly with a strong emphasis on helping each other attain their personal goals. We push each other. We compete together and we eat together!

Tests, seminars, tournaments are all ways we help each other get the most out of our journey. Some come to lose weight. Others come to gain muscle. Some come to make friends. But we all come to better our lives.
