Cassandra does a great job with color. She fixed my ombré from a previous hairdresser who was unable to do a proper color correction. I love the way she cuts and styles my hair, she gets me and understands exactly what I like. She also gives me great advice as to what I should and shouldn’t do to my hair in order to keep it looking healthy and beautiful. And to top it off her prices are very reasonable.

I LOVE MY HAIR !!!
After my last hair dresser flacked on me twice (the last time being my sons high school graduation day) I was so done !!
So I went searching on Unilocal in my area and I found good reviews about this salon so I gave it a try. I called the salon and Cassandra took care of me she saw me in about an hour. All I needed done was my roots. I got a wash, touch up on my roots and a blow dry for $ 40 bucks !!!
I think that’s a great deal !!! Plus I was very happy with the outcome !!
So that makes it… PRICELESS !!

I’m sorry but it has to be said… this woman gave me a horrible haircut. I have been waiting for a few weeks to see if it would grow out proper as this sometimes happens, but it still looks like a child hacked at it with safety scissors. I have multi textured and thick hair and all I really wanted was my bangs fixed but asked for some long lairs so it would fall right. My bangs now flip out to the left and right and look like a helmet when I style them and my hair is just ugly. She used the thinning shears for some reason and cut my layers way too blunt. What used to be a minor bettie page look is now frizzy and uneven rag doll looking hair. Its a shame because she was so nice but I am really not happy. Will not go back.

I was looking for a place that was close to my home, affordable, and with good reviews. Unilocal helped me find this dainty little place.
I messaged Cassandra the owner on her business Facebook and she was very quick in responding and helpful. I booked an appointment for my mom as well as my sister. The 3 of us went in but unfortunately my mom wasn’t able to get her hair cut because she doesn’t do short cuts, which was a bummer but totally fine. So be advised her specialty is with medium to longer hair, not short.
So me and my sister proceeded to get our hair done. I went first and got a great shampoo job done. I showed her a picture and she got started. She made it look pretty damn close to the picture so I was happy that she listened. I was nervous about going to a salon because I’ve had so many bad experiences. I’ve always been mistreated for the way I look and been taken advantage of. That wasn’t the case with this place. Cassandra was very nice and accommodating. You could also tell that she knew what she was talking about. She’s not one of those who just tries to get you out of her chair as soon as possible without even making conversation. I respected her for treating me with respect, because believe it or not that’s rare.
So anyways back to the actual cuts.
I ended up getting about 8 – 10 inches cut off of my hair and my sister maybe 3 – 4. I unfortunately have a hard time sitting still so I didn’t notice until I got home that one side was just a bit longer than the other. I contacted Cassandra right away and she was very hospitable and let me come on back as soon as I could to get it fixed. She did amazingly. She made some tweaks on my second visit and straightened it afterwards. It looked so great. I’m very satisfied with her work and so is my sister. I recommend going to her for an affordable cut that you’ll walk out being happy with.
Here’s a summary of the place:
Parking: The are a few spots in front of the shop and there’s street access to the side so it won’t be difficult to find a spot. Some walking might be required but nothing intense.
Price: Very affordable considering how much hair services cost now a days. I got a deal from Groupon for $ 19 that covered the cut, style, shampoo, and conditioning. She normally charges $ 35+ for these services so it was a value.
Inside: A couple of stations as well as a waiting area. It was nice and air conditioned so that was great.
Tip: Appointment only.
Update ⁶⁄₁₆: Unfortunately my hair is still noticeably longer on one side and I’m bummed about it. I had to come and cry about my disappointment on here. Letting it grow out so I can even it out eventually.

After reading all of the reviews I decided to give it a try, and I was happy I did. Cassandra was the hairstylist who cut and style my hair, I also had some highlights done. I am happy with my new look and will be a returning customer:)

The inside makes it seem as if you’re not in Sylmar. We were lucky to find a parking spot in the very front since it seems as if there is no parking available. The place is very calm and relaxing.

Cassandra has been doing my hair for years! I won’t let anyone else touch my hair! I always feel beautiful when I leave her salon!

I haven’t been able to find a good hair stylist in a long time. Cassandra does an amazing job and she lets you know what your hair can handle she doesn’t let your hair fry I’m so pleased. I can’t wait for the next time I get my hair done.

Cassie is the best!!! My hair grows so quickly since she started cutting it. She always makes herself so accessible– coming in earlier, staying later, etc… I always get compliments on my hair and I owe it all to her!

I love this salon! Not just because it’s conveniently located near my home but the stylist there are true SFV Gems! They know their stuff and keep up with the latest trends.
I’ve been fortunate to have the same stylist, whom I followed from a previous establishment. Arcelia always goes out of her way to accommodate my demanding schedule. The business owner, Cassandra is also very accommodating and professional at all times. The girls at Bleu Salon are thoughtful with clients and meticulous with their work. I always walk out of there feeling like a million bucks without breaking the bank!
