A & G Auto Body is a full service auto body repair shop. We specialize in all types of collision repair and auto restoration. We offer competitive prices and free estimates!

Our services include complete auto body and paint repair, minor dent and scratch repair, alignment readjustment, auto restoration, uni-​body frame readjustment and towing services.

Our paint department uses the Spies Hecker Water-​Based Paint System to perfectly match your cars’ paint color every time. With futuristic products for car and commercial vehicle repairs, they are one of the leading suppliers in this field today. Our painters are all factory trained by Spies Hecker.

We can handle any repair job from a simple fender bender to a complete restoration. Our service is always warm, friendly and helpful. Whether we’re currently repairing your vehicle, we’re happy to answer any questions you may have.

History

Established in 1986.

Founded by Anatoly Glotov his son, Oleg Glotov, currently runs and operates the shop. With a long-​standing history and trusted reputation, we are proud to say 70% of our clientele is repeat business.

Our technicians are perfectionists who take pride in their work and give 100% on every car that comes in to our shop. Our senior staff members are I-​Car trained and continually educating themselves on the latest technologies in auto body and paint repair.

After my older car was in an accident and there was too much damage to make sense repairing, Oleg from A&G patiently explained what my options would be and allowed me to keep my car in the shop overnight. After I picked it up he helped me connect with someone that would take it off my hands. He had nothing to gain from this but goodwill and I really appreciate his willingness to help.

I put a nice dent in my Prius and needed to get it fixed. I went to see Oleg at A&G cuz I like to support shops in my neighborhood whenever I can. He gave me an estimate that was high enough that I decided to contact my insurance. Geico has a few locations in the city you can get your car inspected, so I took it to one of them. You can either have it repaired there or get a check to cover the cost and take it to your preferred shop. I called Oleg and was able to get my car worked on the next day. He had it done quickly and my car looks fantastic. Oleg was so great through the whole process. I highly recommend A&G! 5+ STARS!

What can I say, Oleg is the man. My car was almost totalled, and when I got it back it looked better than when I scooped it up from the dealer. Oleg is a down to earth, very honest guy who will do whatever he can to accommodate you and then some. I really can’t adequately explain how extraordinary this place is. If I were to have kids, I’d recommend this establishment to my kids’ kids!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH BROTHER!!!

A & G gets top marks! I was prepping my car for sale and wanted to clean up the bumpers, which were pretty hacked up from 8 years of tight SF parking spaces. After Oleg and his team refinished and repainted both bumpers, they looked brand new. They also went the extra mile, touching up a few other minor scrapes, and fixing a bent piece of sheetmetal on the underbody. High quality + friendly service at a fair price = fantastic value.

So good! Oleg was incredibly swift and easy in handling a bumper and door fix after our Prius was dented in a parking lot. Great price and friendly service. I also have to say as a female it’s can be tricky finding honest auto places, but Oleg and his crew were nothing but respectful. And the car now looks better than I remember it!

I shopped around quite a bit after dinging up my car with a close encounter of a garage post. I went with A&G as they had really great reviews, and they sure live up to them!

For those in the Haight/​Cole Valley area looking for a new mechanic now that Cole Garage is closed for business, go no further than A & G. The service here is off the charts and Oleg is one honest and upfront individual. I had a driver-​side window issue that a prior shop failed to fix, so I decided to bring my car into A & G. Oleg managed to get the required window and fix the issue within the day — not to mention at a great price! I have now found my new local mechanic and will trust no one else with my car going further.

Picked up my 2011 Jetta today and it looks like a brand new car! When I said so to Oleg Glotov, the owner, he said «that’s the way it’s supposed to look when you leave here». And, it does! When my car got rear ended by some jabroni, I wanted to find a bodyshop with good reviews that was close to my house. Oleg was very flexible with my schedule and assured me that he would work with my insurance company to get the job done right and get my car back to me asap. He was friendly and trustworthy, and he ket me updated on the progress of my car throughout the repairs. When my insurance company tried to cheap out on a necessary part, he dealt with them directly to make sure the car got fixed properly without any inconvenience for me. A & G’s fast, professional service left my car looking and running great. They even cleaned it for me! I would feel totally confident recommending this shop to anyone who wants a quick, painless, high-​quality experience.

I was driving my boyfriend’s brand new car when I scratched/​dented the rear door. We didn’t want to go through insurance, so I was paying cash and didn’t want to spend a fortune. Mark, the technician, took a look and said they could pop out the dents and repaint it for a very reasonable price. I brought it back a second time and got a formal estimate for replacing the whole door from Oleg. He was very patient with me and talked me through the pros and cons of each option (replacing the door vs. repairing the dents/​repainting). I eventually decided to go with the latter, less expensive option and couldn’t happier with the results! The car looks like new (the color is identical and I can’t see where the dents were at all). I hope I never need to get the car fixed again, but if I do, I would go straight to A&G!

Oleg and his team are easily the most professional body shop in town from my experience of dealing with body shops in SF. I had a nasty dent in my leased Audi and had to give it back within a week. Dropped it off at A&G and 2 days later I got it back in the best condition I had seen my car since, well buying it! The car incurred 0 charges and the audi rep claimed it was the cleanest lease return he had ever seen. Professional and friendly service combined with excellent pricing, that’s a winner!

I followed Oleg from his old shop to his present one years ago, because he was highly recommended from my «car expert» friend.
Since then, I’ve brought my car in to Oleg more times than I’d like to admit, and every time – Oleg proves to be the only good experience I have throughout the ordeal. Oleg is professional, attentive, and trustworthy. I’ll be honest here and admit that I don’t always trust mechanics, so I only go to Oleg– and that’s no small feat.
Being a bit of a starving artist, Oleg has been more than accommodating. I feel we have a mutual respect for each other’s work, and we don’t get people like that in the City anymore. His shop is a refreshing reminder of what the City used to be: a no-​fuss, honest place where things get done.
Go to Oleg, we need to keep people like this in the City.

Who knew dealing with a scratched car could be a pleasant experience? I ran all over town getting quotes and talking with all sorts of shops, and it was like a breath of fresh air walking into this small neighborhood business (I mean, not literally… smelled painty). Oleg was a joy to work with, they got me in quick and did a fabulous job matching the color, etc. Touch ups were free, so the car came out looking better than pre fateful scratch! Price was more than fair. Is there any reason NOT to support local when the service is so stellar?

Living in SF I am fortunate enough to have a parking garage however my spot is tiny so I accidentally cracked my driver’s side mirror as I was backing out. I called local b/s’s in my neighborhood asking for an estimate: some were pricey, others were rude, and some were both.
When I called A&G I talked to Oleg, and he gave a reasonable quote, was honest, and very approachable. I dropped by, he got my vin # ordered it, and it arrived the next day. I showed up back and in 10 minutes he popped that new mirror in. It was quick and simple. He really tried to make it as convenient for me as possible. Great guy. Bonus: he has a cute dog that goes to the shop with him everyday named Vida! Two thumbs up in my book ;) support local FRIENDLY and HONEST business!
