Welcomed addition to the Sunset area. Walk in you will be greeted by 98.1 The Breeze. Some shelves will be empty. Hard to find price labels anywhere. A six pack of Big Daddy was I believe $ 15 dollars, so there is a markup here but out in the middle of nowhere it is expected.

This is MY store! Charlie’s, Clancy’s, and 7 Eleven can suck it! This is a true neighborhood store that feels like Cheer’s(NORM!!!) everytime you walk in. Def try the home-baked goodies and enjoy your favorite liquor store items. Cold coolers and good prices. I specifically walk here to give these friendly neighbors my $$$ Enjoy!

This place is great. I live 2 blocks away and skip another liquor store(Clancy’s) on the way just to go to A1. Dont let the small size of the store fool you. I am always amazed at their selection. Owners Edgardo & Sonia are as cool and friendly as it gets. She makes an amazing variety of cakes and cupcakes from scratch! They also have 3 cases of ice cream! They have cheap, cheap, cheap FRESH sandwiches. This Place Rocks!

This is a less known liquor store in the area. They are in the middle of the block and much smaller than the one at 41st Avenue. This is also a much cleaner and more respectful place. They greet people as they walk in and have smiles on their faces.

We live three blocks from here. Charlie’s is one block closer, but I always go farther to come here. The recent ownership change has been for the better — the previous guy was fine, but was very«salesman-like.» Not pushy, but like a used-car salesman. The lady who now owns the store is very friendly, and their liquor prices are very good.

Absolutely five star bodega. Great selection of beer(Imperial whoo!), and some good snacks in the case up front. Everything I’ve needed to stop in for, they’ve had it. Friendly service, too.

Honestly I would give this place 5 stars for their selection of beer alone… A local bodega that has six packs of Stone Pale Ale AND Stone IPA?! Excellent!!! However, I’d also give 5 stars merely for the amazing customer service… A 1 Liquor and Grocery closes before licensing hours ends, and after getting kicked off the beach by some of the most idiotic police ever(but that is another story), the owner of A 1, who was still tidying up the shop after hours, took pity on us beach goers and let us come stock up on good beer and some Its-its before carrying on to our friends’ house in the neighborhood. REALLYNICE
