I was very pleased with the care that I received. It was my first experience with acupuncture and I found the experience to be stress-​free, pain-​free, and helpful. Highly recommended.

The TMJ (jaw pain) has been brutal lately and I decided to try some acupuncture sessions with my colleague Afshin. I’ve been to several different acupuncturists in the past with varied results and no real progress with this particular issue.
The good:
+ I felt better after sessions — the most important thing.
+ Communication was great. He’s fluent in English, and communication has been an issue for me in the past with some acupuncturists.
+ He has a good bedside manner and cares about his patients. Acupuncture is what helped him with his own health, so he’s passionate about his work.
+ He is confident and meticulous with his work.
+ Flexible schedule — he is very accommodating.
+ Payment — he takes insurance, credit cards, check, and cash.
Afshin asked me some questions, looked at my tongue, read my pulse, cupped my back, put needles in me, and sent me home with two subcutaneous needles and some Chinese herbs for pain. I was surprised and happy that the migraine that had started from the jaw flare-​up calmed down. I am impressed and would recommend Afshin highly.
The only downside is that acupuncture isn’t free (the good stuff in life never is). Group ear acupuncture clinic is $ 45, individual acupuncture sessions are $ 90.

I have been receiving treatment from Afshin now for over 2 months & he has done miracles for my back pain (I am a runner) and PMS (I am one of the crazy broads & in agony on Day 1 & Day 2). Swear. Before I went to Afshin I had level 9 cramps and now they are reduced to a level 2 or lower.
Afshin is extremely gentle with the needles he uses and the needles are a lot smaller other acupuncturists i have been with. He says they are Japanese needles.
He is extremely kind, honest and professional. I ask a lot of questions and he is always very patient and thorough with his answers.
We are currently working to treat my underactive thyroid (hypothyroid), so I am very excited to see where this leads. My digestion has improved & night sweats have diminished.
Afshin is a must for acupuncture & Chinese Medicine!
