I have been going to Aldo for 10+ years already; he is very honest and does excellent work. His prices are very fair, and the quality is the same as any Porsche dealer. Easy to talk to, and delivers when he says he will.

Aldo is very honest, hard working, and ethical.
When I first started looking for someone to work on my car, his quotes always came in cheaper than other places. Once I trusted him and stopped looking around, he always provided great service and great prices.
I owned my Porsche Boxster for 4 years and took it to him for everything — regular maintenance, when I was rear ended, when I needed new tires, everything! When I had scratches/​dings on my door, he brought in his friend who specialized in paint. His friend also gave me a significantly lower quote than another place I had checked out first. Also, he has his own garage so you can drop off your car before work, pick it up after work, and it won’t be parked in the street!

Aldo and his team have been working on my 78 911SC for the last 3 years. I am consistently impressed with the quality of the work they do and the noticeable difference to how my car performs when I get it back. Aldo always takes the time to explain and show what work was done and over communicates if things come up that require more work or additional money so you always feel like you are in control of the decisions. There is no other person I would take my Porsche too.

I generally do not post bad reviews and I was going to let this go, but I can’t. I am still angry 5 months after I learned about this. I think it is important that classic car and air-​cooled Porsche lovers hear about my experience.
The short story is that Aldo took $ 2600 from me to replace the clutch in my 1987 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. I later learned that he either did not do the job at all or, I’m told he claims, he installed an old, used clutch. Either way, he ripped me off, which now explains why he avoided giving me a receipt for the job for 3 months.
Note, I am only posting this as a warning to others. I do not need anything from Aldo because the shop that discovered it two years later got him to refund the money. So I have nothing to gain from this post. But I’m still outraged.
If you want to hear the long story, here it is. I kept a draft of an e-​mail I wrote back in September 2012 documenting all of this so this is not just from memory.
In spring of 2012, I bought a low-​mile (less than 64k) 1987 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. A few weeks after getting it, I had an intermittent problem with the turn signals. My normal Porsche mechanic was backed up, so I decided to try out Aldo based on the reviews here. He did not fix the turn signals (he said that they started working — which is what intermittent problems do. Later, my regular mechanic took about a minute to fix them). Instead, when I came to pick up the car, he said that the clutch was gone and they could barely drive the car across the garage. I had not noticed any problems with shifting, but (1) this was my first 911, so I had no reference point, and (2) I knew the car still had the original clutch, which supposedly lasts about 60k miles. I figured that I might as well have this issue dealt with then since he had the time to do it. He said he could do it for $ 2600. I offered to order the parts from Pelican, but he said he’d get them. In hindsight, I should have waited and taken the car to my regular mechanic.
When I picked up the car on June 11, 2012, Aldo asked me if I could pay cash. i thought that was weird. I agreed to pay part cash and the rest by check. However, Aldo’s reaction when I asked him for the invoice was a lot more troubling. He acted surprised and said that if he gave me an invoice, he would need to pay taxes on the job. I told him that I needed the invoice for my records and that if I ever sold the car potential buyers would want to see all service records, especially for something like a clutch replacement. He said he would mail it to me, which he never did. Instead, I had to call him and go down to his shop numerous times every couple weeks or so to ask about it. Each time he said he was going to mail it to me or that he would write it when I came in (then he would conveniently be away). Finally, in September — almost three months later — he finally wrote me an invoice after I left him an angry voice mail. I still have the invoice. I decided that I would not use Aldo for anything after that.
So how did I find out I was ripped off? Last fall I decided to sell the car through a local Porsche/​classic car consignment dealer. During their inspection, they noticed that the clutch was starting to go. They said they thought this was odd because there was an invoice that said Aldo had installed a new clutch kit only 6000 miles before. They told me that when they pulled the clutch, it was the original model with old, worn parts. They said there was no way it had been replaced in 2012. I’m told that when they confronted Aldo, he claimed that a clutch could go in 6000 miles. Eventually, he supposedly said he used an old clutch and refunded the $ 2600. I have the receipt from the sale reflecting this refund.
By the way, the used clutch excuse is complete BS. Aldo certainly never told me he was going to use any used parts and I would not have allowed that. Nobody would go through the trouble of putting a used clutch in a 1987 911, especially not for $ 2600. I cannot imagine any reputable mechanic recommending that.
So that’s it.

TRUTH BE TOLD… this is a straight up HONEST, ETHICAL, PROFESSIONAL that will treat you and your car with respect. I took my car in on Saturday because the headlight was intermittently going off and on. Aldo told me to bring in Saturday morning… after checking everything out it seem the connection need to be cleaned. Aldo showed me exactly what he did and I’m sure if it was anyone else they would had told me the car had electrical issues or the light element need to be replaced and $$$$ later they would to pull the wool over my eyes. His pricing was EXTREMELY fair… HE HAS EARNED ANOTHER LOYAL CUSTOMER!!!

driving my baller wagon on the streets, brake fluid leaked empty, my hella expensive ap racing big ass front brakes no longer working. Had to find a shop near by and I chose Aldo. He got the parts and replaced my leaking brake lines and re-​routed it so it no longer rubs around axel so I don’t have to crash and die. His work was fast and the price was very reasonable and he saved my life. Highly recommend.

I was hesitating to buy my Porsche for the maintenance cost but after I found this place it’s not more expensive than owning a Japanese car. Aldo and his team are so friendly. They do a great job and charge me little. That must be why they always have a full house of Porsches. Thanks Aldo and I’ll see you in 6kmiles.

Went in for an oil change on Dec 24^th. Yes, Christmas Eve. Aldo got me in right away and out within 2 hours. They also checked my fluids and belts. They let the oil settle first to make sure that it was accurate and topped it off till it was perfect. Aldo and team are dedicated professionals. If you have a Porsche, this is the place to go. I was referred to Aldo through a friend of a friend and am ecstatic I didn’t chicken out and go somewhere else. Aldo rocks. He worked on my Cayenne quickly, thoroughly and at a price that pleasantly surprising to me as he was considerably less expensive than what I was used to paying at the dealership. Aldo takes his time educating you on the work he did, what may need to be done in the future and is honest about what needs to be taken care of immediately. It’s refreshing and a huge relieve having a guy who’s this competent and fair about it what he does. One less headache in my life, sweet!

If you are looking for a kind, honest, and fair mechanic, Aldo is your man. He is hard-​working, extremely patient, and so incredibly nice. He worked on my stepdad’s Porsche for years before I inherited the family ML55 AMG, and all the problems that came along with it (being a 215k mile car). He is always so attentive, so sweet, and so incredibly fair with his pricing.
He always charged much less than what the dealership would have charged. Being a young person, I had already been screwed over by a horrible auto body place (Anchor Auto Body in Burlingame, avoid it like the plague!!), so I was a little afraid of handling the repairs on my car by myself. But Aldo truly treated me like family and put me at ease, each and every time I came in.
When the transmission on my beloved ML55 finally started to slip, he stayed late on the phone to make sure I was able to tow it somewhere and that I was safe. I ended up taking it to the dealership to spare him missing time with his family, but I know he would have waited for me. He is truly someone you want to employ, because he not only take incredible care of your car, but he extends that care to you, as well.

Aldo is the best, hands down.
Everything everyone says is true, so believe it. He is a genuinely nice guy, and his team do spectacular work on all types of vehicles, mine being an air cooled 911 know for lots of problems (1992 C4).
The work was done quickly, and he does what needs to be done, nothing more. When he discovered that the alternator I had put in less than a year ago was faulty, he replaced it on his own dime, and waited for me to get the previous unit warrantied, and returned to him. What mechanic puts their own money into a customers car? Aldo does.
I drove the car to Los Angeles days after picking it up, and it was like I was back in ’92! Not a single problem to date, and I owe it all to Aldo and his wonderful team.

These guys are fantastic. Aldo and Aldo came through for me at a time where I needed it bad and they lived true to their high Unilocal ratings. In the middle of a long road trip from Southern California to Oregon with my wife in our Boxster, going over the Bay Bridge I felt my suspension do something that wasn’t right. I immediately pulled off (on treasure island!) to see what was going on, and concluded that I needed to play it safe and find a local shop to check things out. With little notice in the middle of a Tuesday, I knew it was probably going to be difficult to find a solution. I found Aldo’s on Unilocal,called, and explained my situation. While he had other cars ahead of me, he said to bring it down and agreed to help however he could. To make a long story short, the team buttoned up the job on a car they had on one of the lifts, threw my car up, and remedied the suspension problem (which happened to be a major bolt missing which loosened and came out), found and fixed the source of a longstanding rear wheel noise I’ve had, and repaired my two rear tires – one of which had a screw lodged in it, the other a nail. The attention to detail met my satisfaction completely, and all this for a very, very reasonable price. Not to mention some good laughs in casual conversation with Aldo.
Thank you, guys, for one of the most pleasurable shop stops I’ve had in my life. I’ve got very high standards, and you’ve put a smile on my face.

I’m extremely happy to have found Aldo. There isn’t a lot I can say which isn’t effusively spelled out in the giant pile of 5 star reviews. But let me leave it at this: I went in with high expectations and he exceeded them. A real gem.

I bought my first Porsche (a lifelong dream) in 2010. As I bought a car several years old, I took it to Aldo for an initial checkup. I’ve taken it back yearly for service and repair.
Aldo lives and breathes Porsche. He knows every model and has worked on countless other sports vehicles. He is a top notch mechanic who always leaves my car in far better condition. He’s also a very nice man who is pleasant to do business with. His prices are extremely fair and represent a significant discount off of dealer service standards.
I highly endorse Aldo for any Porsche repair or service!

I’ve been to Aldo’s a few times for my ’83 844. These cars have a known issue with the gas tank, where there’s a stress fracture on the top that leads to a major fuel smell if you fill the tank, and requires removal of the transmission in addition to repairing the tank. He repaired it for a very reasonable price compared to other quotes I got.
I’ve been back since, for some other minor issues. As usual, the service was great and the prices extremely reasonable. The next time I have any issue with the 944 (It’s a 32 year old car!) I’ll be back to him as usual.
I can’t recommend him highly enough. Go there!

Aldo was great! Bought an 08′ Porsche Cayanne GTS and the check engine light came on along with a steering issue. He made himself available quick, brought it in and he explained the issue. Reasonably priced and good service from an old school guy.

Days before New Years 2014 I was at the top of Mt. Vision Rd. near Pt Reyes when my Audi revealed it had lost all its coolant and I should stop driving it. With help of friends and family we limped it into Aldo’s garage. I had found him here on Unilocal and he was going to be open over the holidays and said to come right in.
As soon as I arrived with my car bubbling over I knew I was in good hands. «It’s a big leak, that’s good! It will be easy to find.»
Long story short he took great care of me on a holiday weekend and made sure everything was in order for my 6+hour drive back to LA area. His rate was very reasonable. And to top it off he called me to make sure I got home OK. Aldo’s the best… now if just had a relative in Glendale with a shop.

Wow, we have to thank the «nail that stuck on our Panamera’s tire» for it gave us the blessing to meet Aldo and his team! Our regular-​go-​to-​place is Sonnen Porsche, where we bought the car, but not anymore! Aldo and his team, namely Francesco are highly efficient, super friendly, very kind and extremely rare beings! We cannot thank them enough for helping us, giving us the peace in mind and kindness.
