Alemany and Ocean 76 Auto Care

My regular mechanic’s shop is being renovated, so I brought my car here for an oil change. This shop doesn’t have the lowest price, but the oil and filter change service is very fast. Usually 15 – 20 minutes after dropoff. Also, I don’t trust the mechanics of the other 2 nearby shops (within 2 blocks).
My car requires more expensive oil ($ 70 with labor), than my brother’s car ($ 50 with labor). In case u didn’t know, the oil type info is printed on the refill cap. Jordan and his crew were cordial and efficient, and even reset my oil life meter. So I was back on the road in no time.

The mechanic is a really nice guy but I’m sorry to say that they have some very very shady business practices.
My car was overheating so I brought it in to have them check it out. They told me that my water pump was broken and that it would cost $ 200 in parts and $ 600 (that’s right $ 600!) in labor. This seemed a little bizarre to me and when I asked to see exactly where the water pump was and what was wrong with it he didn’t seem to actually know where it was. He just kind of pointed to the engine and said it was hard to see.
Luckily I had to drive the car regardless of its condition and ended up bringing it to a European car specialist the next day. Apparently my radiator had a crack. He replaced my radiator and the car runs perfectly now. I told the specialist about what the mechanic at Ocean 76 had said and he told me that he had never ever seen a water pump break on my type of car.
Either the mechanic was incompetent or intentionally trying to charge me for unneeded repairs. Either way it’s bad. I would avoid these guys for any major repairs.

I’ve been going there for a few years and the service has always been great. They’re reasonable about prices and so far they’ve not tried to sell me anything I don’t need.

Best customer service at the service stations. They never say no on what they do.
Oil change they have all different kind. Very efficient to my car. Fast and easy, don’t need the worry. They also check safety of car like tire pressure and brakes pads.

Jordan and his crew do great work at reasonable prices. I have had major repair work on my truck by Jordan et al. I have total faith in their work.

My boyfriend went there to get an oil change. We dropped off the car at 4pm and it was done in 20 minutes. JACK was very helpful because we had a few questions about our suspension and he answered all our questions fully and demonstrated his knowledge without us feeling like he was selling something to us. We would recommend coming here for the speedy oil change and good customer service!

Proprietor has a low (from birth) self-​esteem, (pigmentation stains on his face), from whereby he makes up for by making LOTS of ill-​gotten money. E.G.: He’ll have mechanics gorilla spark plug to come back and have it repaired, sometimes he’ll say, «Your car needs a new alternator», when it doesn’t.

Beware off there mechanic shop.
Brought my car here and thought they would call before beginning repairs guess what they didn’t!
Top it off they were trying to get an extra 6 hours of labor to continue fixing haha its only a $ 1000 car
If u don’t know anything about cars don’t go here. Guaranteed to take advantage of the situation…

one my favorite local gas station since its cheap then shell or chevron on mission, i remember there was time they stop selling cigarettes i was like what the hell but they sell them back now…

I’ve been coming here for oil changes for the past year. Very consistent and quick service (½ hour or less). Jack is very helpful and they all treat me like family –telling me about my car or explaining things. Prices are also pretty unbeatable especially compared to those chain shops around the area.
Gas here at the station is usually about 5 cents cheaper than the Shell across from KFC on Mission/​Silver. However, it’s not as cheap of course as BP/​Arco.

Been bringing my vehicles to Jordan at 76 for the past 8 years. He is an outstanding mechanics and always makes accommodations to fit my schedule. The turn around time is ridiculously fast, the service is impeccable and the prices are affordable. Highly recommended

Been going to them for over 12 years, service and prices are good. They are always helpful. They are a busy station though best to call to see if they can fit you in before you stop by.

The actual work they did and prices were fine; but the service was unacceptable.
My car broke down at 2am, so I had it towed there and left overnight, and was told to call back at 9am. I did this, they said they’d look at it.
I hadn’t heard from them by 1pm, so I called them, they tell me they should know within an hour. Hadn’t heard anything by 2:30, so I call them then, and then they finally tell me what’s up, explaining that they would have called me earlier but they lost my phone number.
They tell me my car will either be ready by the end of the day or the next morning. Didn’t hear from them at all the rest of the day. Finally got a call from them the next morning telling them it’s ready.
This wasn’t an extremely complex job, it was replacing a starter motor and ignition. Way too slow.
