ALNO San Francisco

We are so happy with our Alno kitchen! We were remodeling and knew we wanted something with a modern, European aesthetic rather than the traditional American style. We did some research and learnt about Alno and made an appointment with Deganit. We loved what we saw and it was great to be able to see in real life different options and finishes and within that first session we already knew this was the kitchen we wanted. This was the first time we’d ever remodeled a kitchen and even though I already had a good idea of what I wanted, it was so helpful to have Deganit and all her years of experience. She is very thorough and gave us really good advice during the decision making process that helped us refine our design. We’ve enjoyed our kitchen for the last 6 months and all our friends are really impressed with the style and quality as well. We would definitely recommend Alno to our friends!

Terrible… continues.
Alno kitchen two years old. Accent Light pucks (–an expensive Alno upgrade) have failed. Transformer failed. I also note until their complete failure today, we had to replace the halogen light bulbs with remarkable frequency (several every 60 days) at $ 7 per bulb!
I continue to update these reviews as I find it remarkable how poor the quality is of the cabinetry, light fixtures, installation. Moreover, Alno support is nowhere to found. Really very remarkable.
While we had several challenges in building our home, by far our most significant challenge and very worst decision was hiring Alno SF to do our custom cabinetry. After three years (planning, installation, etc they have yet to ever visit the property. Stay away. So many other options. Ugh.

I don’t have a plan to buy a new kitchen in the near future, but I really like to stroll around home design centers and shops to see what’s new out there. If you appreciate quality and look like me, this is the place to go when you are planning to remodel your kitchen. The showroom is amazing; you can find there all the newest technologies, materials and design ideas for the kitchen industry. It is like heaven on earth.

I visited Alno San Francisco last week. It is a beautiful showroom with endless selection of finishes and design options. Although I mentioned that I’m only in the early stage of entertaining the idea of remodeling my kitchen, they still took the time to discuss with me about all the design options and provide me with a lot of information that will be very helpful for me when I will decided to move forward with the project. The designer that I met is very professional and knowledgeable. The visit in their showroom was such a pleasant experience! When we will decide to remodel our kitchen, I know we will go back to them to do that!

I had called to get some information and seriously, this establishment hires the rudest people in earth. They weren’t interested in helping or even cared about what I had to say. This is exactly why this place has such low ratings. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else for your kitchen project and find people who actually care.

I completed my kitchen project 2 years ago and ALNO in SF helped me design my perfect kitchen and media counsel. This was my first major kitchen remodel and I was a bit nervous about how it would all turn out. Deganit and her staff worked extremely well with my interior designer and provided the right balance of accepting her ideas while speaking up when they felt there were better options, like suggesting a slightly lower elevation for my back cabinets.
From start to finish, Deganit was professional, detailed and responsive. She spent time coming to carefully measure the kitchen, wall bench and media wall layout and made sure everything in that area fit precisely such that I was very confident with their drawings at the end and depended on them more than the architect drawings I also had on hand. They keep me updated along the way and made sure everything went smoothly through the installation process and completion. In the end, everything fit perfectly and looked fantastic! I am so glad I picked ALNO in hindsight!

Terrible Customer Service.
We have been designing our kitchen for a few months now and went into Alno San Francisco to get a quote. We were told we would have to make an appointment and come back in a week as the girl was busy and away until the following weekend. We arrived at our appointment gave her our plans and we proceeded to short list a few door types. To cut a long story short. OMG it took over a month to get to final stage. A 20% Alno discount was waved under our nose if we sign by a certain date. We had finalized the design and got a final quote. Had to go back a few time to revise the design as some parts were left out as they weren’t a standard Alno size cabinet. Then to make matter worse, I asked for pricing on a few accessories to get an overall price for the project. I asked 3 times to get told «We typically give the break down for accessory items and details of that nature once we are in the working stage» i.e.: They won’t completely divulge pricing to you until you pay a $ 2500 nonrefundable deposit. Who in their right mind would buy a project, place a non-​refundable deposit before finding out how much they will gouge you on accessories. To make matters worse, the 4 accessories added up to $ 1550. For what they were it should be been ¹⁄₃ of that. No only that they would not provide copies of any drawings, even drafts until the deposit was paid for. We have visited a number of showrooms and the draft design layouts were all part of the cost of sale. Seems like Also SF think they have something more to offer than their competitors. Far from it. Have found similar cabinets for a fraction of the price.
So the poor customer service lost them a sizable project. I would think twice before engaging this firm.

Designing a kitchen can be an intimidating, daunting, task — but having a totally competent, creative, and pleasant designer with great communication skills and access to the best cabinetry and appliances can make it a fun and rewarding experience! For my wife and I, it was one of the best experiences we had in building our new home! Deganit and team at ALNO San Francisco created a kitchen for us that exceeded our wildest dreams! I cannot tell you how many people have seen our kitchen, took photos, asked permission to copy some or all of the design elements, and asked for our designer’s name! It was a lot of people! Our kitchen has been featured in many publications and has received awards such as the prestigious «Golden Nugget Award» for architecture and design. Our kitchen makes our home both ‘real’ and totally ‘livable’!!! Thank you Deganit!!!

I was in town and a friend who was renovating his kitchen wanted me to check out some showrooms with him. As the designer I’m the de facto authority on all things design (architecture).
I actually enjoying to showrooms. USUALLY, the rep are very helpful. USUALLY, they are friendly and did I say helpful? USUALLY, the rep answer any questions and did I say helpful? At least from my experience, when you walk into a showroom where you might spend more than $ 100k on a kitchen you expect… I say helpful, courteous, cheerful representative. Not so here.
First, the dreadfully woman who I think owns it just sat there staring at the screen as though she was in some oblivious land of Vathek. Never once did she greet us or even a ‘hello.’ It was like some episode from Seinfeld and Elaine worked there … as we were leaving the woman screamed … ‘Why are you here if you don’t have any questions!” Practically shoved the brochure in our hands turned and huffed off like some impertinent 2 year old! This lady is unstable so beware.
I have no idea what person in their right mind would even give this place ⁴⁄₅ stars.. Let’s just say he won’t be spending any money at this establishment.

In the harsh world of construstion & remodeling Alno has been an absolute breath of fresh air! They have been an absolute joy to work with & I couldn’t be happier with their finished product.
We interviewed 3 different Eurpoean kitchen companies and Alno was by far the most superior in terms of customer service, quality and reasonable pricing. They provided us with several different layouts & 3-​D computere imaging for our kitchen and never once asked us to give them any money upfront.
We were so happy with the complete product we were receiving for our kitchen we decided to have them do some additional custom cabintery for our media room & master bedroom. That too has exceeded our expectations.
They are definitely not the least expensive, but well worth the money spent.
We mainly worked with Cathy, but her associate Daginet has been just as professional and able to step in when needed. Cathy has been so professional and informative through the entire process it made all of our decision making so easy for cabintes, finishes, appliances, accesories, etc.
If we ever attempt a remodel project again, which is doubtful, Alno would be tops on my list to complete any cabinetry needed.
