I am thrilled to be working in the field of labor, birth, postpartum and female support. Attending a birth is an honor and a privilege and a true joy. I am a DONA certified birth doula. I meet with clients free of charge and with no obligation so we can test drive our compatibility. My doula package covers two prenatal sessions, the support of your birth, and one postpartum visit. I graduated from Sonoma State University, earning a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Multiculturalism and Diversity. This gives me a unique perspective and sensitivity towards the many different family makeups and cultures of the San Francisco Bay Area. I work with all traditional and contemporary family make-ups: two parent families, single parent families, and GLBT families. Every woman deserves the opportunity to feel knowledgeable, empowered and supported in her ability to move through the many transitions of pregnancy to motherhood. As your doula I am here to support you and your family any way that I can– emotionally, physically and informatively, so that you can have the birth that you desire, either at home or in a hospital.

Meet the Business Owner
Amelia T.
Business Owner
After 17 years as a professional career nanny, I was blessed with a son of my own. I enjoyed many years as a partner in parenting for many families and am now excited to be a partner in the birth experience. I currently live in San Francisco in the Sunnyside neighborhood with my husband and son. While I was pregnant with my son in 2012, I realized that I was extremely interested in all things pregnancy and birth related. As a nanny, I was involved with children from infancy through teenage years. I love to work with children and new families. But as a new mother, I realized that I was in awe of the amazing act of childbirth. I was surprised by how powerful the experience of my own son’s birth was. After being a stay at home mother for the first two and a half years, I decided to take my career in a different path as I return to the work force. Life then brought to my attention the opportunity of becoming a Doula and birth has become my passion ever since.
