Andria does amazing work and was very professional to work with. She managed to organize all our different family shots (which included two young kids) quickly and painlessly. The portraits of my husband and I after the wedding was such great experience for us. It was just two of us and her and it was such a nice quiet time for my husband and I to connect after the business of getting ready for the ceremony and getting married. Her turnaround time was very quick and her rates were very reasonable. And all the photos turned out absolutely amazing– they’ve made co-​workers and acquaintances cry they were so beautiful. I am so so happy with the way they turned out! Thanks so much Andria!

Andria shot our engagement and wedding photos this year, and she was amazing! My wife and I are pretty easygoing, and we wanted a photographer that we’d be comfortable around. From our first phone call with Andria, we thought that she would fit the bill, and we were right. She was a pleasure to work with (so was her assistant, Ali). Additionally, we loved her eye, professionalism, and understanding of our venue. She’s creative and artistic, but doesn’t overdo it. Even the small touches, like the preview slideshow and the design of the USB drive containing our photos, were perfect!

We were sooo happy we hired Andria for our wedding day. She is very skilled at creating artful photojournalistic photos, and at the same time she also can capture the attractive photos of photo-​shy people (like me) and groups that you also want to have. Honestly, we were blown away by her work and it was so worth the investment to have these images for the rest of our lives. Plus, she has a really lovely personality that puts you right at ease. She moves gently and quietly among the guests and the scene, doing her art. If you are drawn to her style, I would say don’t hesitate — hire her!

My wife and I were talking about Andria and the amazing job she did with our pictures and we realized that, except when she took portraits of us, we barely ever saw her. And yet there were amazing pictures from afar and up close, and from seemingly multiple locations at the same time. What I’m trying to see is that Andria is part artist and part ninja. She singlehandedly holistically captured our entire set of events that really captured the essence of our wedding.
We found her last minute because our original photographer had to cancel. Andria got in there and immediately got to know us and what we are all about. She got an immediate sense of the exact mixture of elegance and silliness we wanted. And then she absolutely nailed it. And during the process in between, she was an absolute joy to work with. Both myself, my wife, and Andria (ok, mostly just my wife and Andria) came up with ideas on the fly and Andria quickly figured out how to make great pictures out of them. From perfectly window-​lit portraits to pictures of us sprawled on the floor of SF City Hall, she brought out everything we wanted and we had a blast doing it.
I highly recommended Andria for any photography engagement. Great lasting memories at a great price.

A week before our wedding, our photographer broke his hand and had to cancel. A friend recommended Andria and I am so glad she did. Andria was super empathetic about our situation and jumped in to help right away. She was responsive, easy to work with in booking, and we appreciated that she wanted to get to know us and our style.
Our wedding was at SF City Hall and Andria did a phenomenal job for many reasons. First, she listened really well to what we wanted. We told her we were lighthearted and wanted to get a bit silly — she took that to heart and our pictures are incredibly fun and really reflect who we are. She also knows City Hall incredibly well. She found amazing spots to shoot where there were interesting shadows/​light patterns and places that you may have never known would create such great pictures. You never knew she was there (as in she was never intrusive) and the moments she caught were those we’ll always treasure. Last but not least, her photography is amazing — when we got the preview, we were so in love with the pictures — we have sent them to many family and friends who have raved about them.
While our ceremony was only 25 minutes, the time at City Hall felt like an experience and made our ceremony feel like a wedding day. We are really grateful to Andria for her awesome work.

It doesn’t get any better than Andria Lo when it comes to professionalism, talent, kindness, and creativity. She was so easy to work with and my husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results of our personal City Hall ceremony. She was there on time and knew the venue and ideal photo spots like the back of her hand. She even gave us great advice on the best days and times to schedule our appointment at City Hall. We had plenty of time in our 3 hour session to take pics before and after the ceremony as well as end our session at the top of Dolores Park. Andria has taken our family pictures for the last three years — each time she has recommended wonderful locations for the shoot and has been super flexible with the times. Our kids are usually completely crazy during the shoot, but Andria is so patient and works so well with them. Every year we leave thinking — there’s no way we got any good pictures, what a waste of time and money. Without fail, a couple of days later we get an email from Andria with the most amazing and wonderful pictures of our family, she’s literally a miracle worker! All of our walls are decorated with Andria’s photo’s at this point and we couldn’t be happier. Patient, flexible, easy to work with and she takes beautiful pictures — what else can you ask for!

I first learned of Andria when she photographed my best friend’s wedding at City Hall last summer. We all felt at ease with her right away and the results were stunning, so I knew I wanted to book her for my spring wedding this year.
Andria was able to work with our limited budget, limited time frame and unusual setting in a rented home and she made the planning process run smoothly and efficiently. I filled out her wedding worksheet with a list of pictures we would like to try to capture. Without any additional fuss, Andria quietly arrived at the appointed time on our wedding day and began snapping photos and capturing so many perfect little moments and details from our day. We were impressed by her discrete style. Andria just blends in and manages to capture so much of what is going on without interrupting the natural flow of things.
When the time came for a few formal groupings after the ceremony, Andria was well prepared and calmly collected people and captured the pictures we wanted in a completely unstuffy way. I was so flustered and excited by that point that there’s no way I could have organized much of anything on my own, but I felt like we were in the graceful hands of a true professional. I completely trusted her process.
On our two week anniversary we received a beautiful slideshow and over 200 photos from our two hour session. My husband and I both started crying upon seeing the slideshow and felt like Andria perfectly captured the spirit of the day. We had already received many quality photos from friends and family, but Andria’s unique perspective really added something above and beyond to our memories. She included behind-​the-​scenes moments that we weren’t even aware of on the actual day, so we were delighted to learn that there was still more wedding joy to be revealed to us. We keep going back to watch the slides and view individual pictures and we have been amazed.
Andria is an absolute pleasure to work with, extremely talented, and well worth her fees. Choose her!

Book Andria! She shot our elopement at SF’s City Hall this year and we are SO please with the outcome of the photos. We had a hard time finding a photographer that did not OVER edit photos. We wanted photos that looked natural and real and she did just that. She was a pleasure to work with and at times, we barely knew she was there photographing. Her prices are beyond reasonable and her product and talent is fantastic. If we lived in California I would book her again and again.

andria was the perfect choice for our photographer. when my husband saw the preview of our wedding photos, he said, «holy geez, those were incredible!!! she made us look so good we could be in a magazine!!!» this comes from a person who grilled every photographer we interviewed for our wedding. yes, he was beyond pleased and i was, too.
the day felt custom and tailored to us. we got married at the headlands center for the arts, a popular wedding venue– which means that there are a TON of headlands wedding photos on the ‘net. after some discussion (before the day of the wedding), we decided to take our portraits at a spot that andria recommended to us– battery wallace. the photos were unlike anything i’ve seen for weddings at the headlands… the nature/​industrial background had great artistic tensions. the framing was phenomenal. our expressions were natural and accessible. plus, she was able to capture the emotion between me and my husband with authenticity. this was also true of all the photos she took of the evening. not only were the photos beautifully shot, but you could see/​feel emotion in each picture.
on another note, what surprised me about working with andria was that she was invisible the entire evening. seriously– i forgot she was even there until she tapped me on my shoulder to let me know it was time for her to go home. i think girlfriend has harry potter’s invisibility cloak in her office!
yes– like others mentioned, we loved the video preview she made. super special and her choice of music was spot on.
finally, what attracted us to andria was that she does both wedding and editorial work. i think her talent for both types of photography keeps her work fresh and innovative. we looked at her editorial site before hiring her and i was wowed by what she has done.
on my end, i wish we hired andria for longer. if i could go back in time, i would have booked her for a longer period of time. seeing her photos made me want more! it’s true that your photographer is one of the most important vendors you hire for your wedding. alas, you don’t know that until after your wedding day…
andria is the way to go!

Wow, Andria and Jennifer (her assistant with a very cool camera) are awesome!!! We had them capture our wedding on August 3^rd, and absolutely loved every single photo they took. We got the 9hr wedding package with two photographers and it worked out perfect, plenty of time to get amazing photos. If I were to do it all over again, I would opt for the engagement session as well. We had met Andria once prior to our wedding to discuss details about the type/​groups of photos we want. That was all we needed for her to get an idea of what we wanted. She knew all the good places at our venue to get the best backgrounds/​lighting for photos. She even drove to a vineyard with us to get some photos there.
Andria was able to provide us with a «highlight» slide show of some of the photos from the wedding that we or family/​friends could access online shortly after we got back form our honeymoon. It was so nice to have something to show our family and friends while the remaining photos are compiled. Her photography style is out-​of-​this-​world, she has a way of capturing the moment without anyone noticing. Her photos are soft, elegant, and gentle, no harsh shadows or angles. No matter what you are looking for in a photographer, I can assure you that Andria can capture a truly stunning day for you.
Before choosing Andria, we had looked at a couple of other photographers around the bay area, NO ONE came close to her experience with photography. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is, but I don’t want to write a novel on Unilocal,so if your looking for a photographer I would highly recommend Andria to anyone!!! (I wonder if she does baby photos, next big event to capture, haha)

When it came time to document our wedding we knew we had to get someone who was professional, easy-​going, and above all had an eye for capturing those special moments that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Andria met all these requirements and more. She was always prompt in responding to our questions, very accommodating of how we wanted our special day to be documented, thoughtful, and well prepared. She scouted the wedding location well ahead of time and had a plan ready. On the day of, she was completely unobtrusive, yet she captured such beautiful, intimate moments. She followed up with a beautiful slideshow of favorite moments that all our friends and family absolutely loved. We are very grateful to Andria and highly recommend her.

My fiancé has the memory of a very smart goldfish, which means that he doesn’t tend to really retain much beyond 5 years. In all seriousness, this is why we wanted a photographer that would capture our day so we can look back on it when we are both wrinkly and senile.
We found Andria and when we met her, we immediately liked her. She’s professional, friendly, and we like the more photojournalistic style of her work. She has a very nice sense of style and pizzazz in her photos that really capture a moment.
We recently had an engagement session and it was tons of fun. We had no idea where we should go and she recommended a great spot for some scenic shots of the city, and we had a blast romping around the Mission Bay campus of UCSF. We all enjoyed ourselves so much that we were really pleasantly surprised when she gave us the photos within a week (less than… two days??)

I’m sitting here writing a review for Andria just a little over a month after our wedding in September in the Presidio because we got our photos a few days ago. That’s about 4 weeks after our wedding. Point #1 for a 5-​star review.
Selecting a photographer for your wedding ultimately comes down to what type of photography you’re looking for, so be sure to do your research. We wanted someone with an artistic and creative style, and she did not disappoint. She lets the day play out and captures the moments both that you cherished forever, and the ones that you’ve missed. Her framing of pictures is extraordinary and she brings a great eye to the editing. We are very pleased with the pictures and would book her again for any other photos we want done in the future!

Andria shot our wedding in September 2011 and we couldn’t be happier with her work! Just fantastic. She really listened to the kinds of pictures that were most important to us (more of a documentary-​style focus on capturing the day than on formal portraits) and everything turned out amazingly. Seriously, we have people tell us constantly that her pictures should be in magazines. She has a great eye for capturing details and emotions. (She worked with an assistant for our wedding, who was also fantastic.)
Andria was so professional and easy to work with (we live in DC and were married in SF so planning was stressful, but we never had a single worry or problem with her). She also had our edited pictures back to us much sooner than expected, which was great because we couldn’t wait to see them! I would definitely recommend her to anybody.

Andria shot my friend’s wedding in May. I was in the bridal party and she was amazing. She is a true professional and has such a good eye for lighting, backgrounds, angles, and special moments. She captures real moments and she does it beautifully! That is why i like her style so much… every captured moment is real and never stiffly posed. She truly loves her job and it shows through in her photos.

Andria does great work. She is incredibly talented and is such a nice, calm person to be around that it is really easy shooting with her. She is super organized and prepped us for what to expect for our engagement shoot and the wedding day. My fiancée and I commissioned Andria for photographic services for our engagement shoot in October of 2011 after seeing her work online for a few friends — and she was fantastic!
Before the shoot she sent us an email about wardrobe pointers (v-​necks elongate the face, avoid loud prints etc.) and we met her at the UCSF campus near AT&T park for an urban, quirky shoot — and she did not disappoint!
During the shoot she made us feel at ease immediately and we could tell that she had a very creative eye — including a series of shots in a color parking lot stairwell that she stringed together into a triptych that showed our wedding date — ⁴⁄₂₂ — in a completely unexpected way!).
Within 2 weeks we had the proofs to view online and the original files were available within 3 weeks — way faster then we were expecting. And then, the pictures were stunning. Any chance we have to share them, we do! And all for an extremely reasonable price.
Andria is professional, creative, collaborative, and all-​around awesome. We can’t wait for her to shoot our wedding!

One day I enlisted the services of Andria Lo to come to my home and take pictures of myself and my 4 little kitties (hey, don’t judge! wait til you get to my age!). She was prompt and courteous. Because she was allergic to cats and in an attempt to limit my personal liability at my home, I did offer her a random pill from an unmarked bottle in my cabinet. She politely declined. Nonetheless the shooting proceeded swimmingly. She valiantly worked with my impossible little brats and the photos still make my heart swell each time I look at them.
As to MY portraits? Well… let me tell ya! They were true to life! They were GLORIOUS! She fully captured my radiant beauty. Although, if you’ve met me… you KNOW that it’s hard to miss! Can’t imagine why I’m still single…
Oh wait… it’s not about ME? Back to Andria Lo Photography… In short, I’d use her AGAIN! And again, and again!
