John Pommon, the owner of Antique Video, is truly an expert in the field of video transfer. I have several black and white Sony half inch video tapes that had not been played for over 30 years. It was no easy task to find a knowledgeable media professional who had access to the videotape equipment needed to transfer these tapes to DVDs. John did his magic and I was able to see my daughter at the age of 12 months again on the DVD. John is not only knowledgeable he is fun to work with. He explains the transfer process in ways a novice can understand. I highly recommend Antique Video!

I was seeking a way to transfer an old Sony helical scan reel that contained some invaluable footage of a family member who is no longer with us. I found Antique Video via a Google search, and sent John the tape after he quickly responded to my request for a quote. John took great care in preparing the tape for transfer, and was able to transfer some of the tape despite its very poor condition and an unstable clock in the original recording device. He was extremely generous in refunding the cost of his time when he was unable to transfer portions of the tape due to its condition. He kept me updated on his progress during the whole process and exhibited great kindness and compassion throughout. The materials arrived meticulously labeled and packaged, along with our original tape and advice on how we might still be able to view the rest of the video.
