Ark Sign

A couple of years ago I bought a wonderful neon sign at an antique store. When I got it home, it was great but too bright. I discovered Ark Sign and the owner, Kamran, sold me his last dimmer for a very reasonable price, which solved my problem. Recently, the sign started flickering and I emailed Kamran, who remembered me and said he could fix it. Kamran looked through his inventory and then bought a broken neon sign and traded the transformer for my worn out one. He fixed my sign really quickly and charged very little considering the time he put into the repair. He is also a really nice person.

If I could score this place a fat zero I would. The owner after several weeks of working on a shirt order decided that his vacation was more important than processing my order. He failed on his commitment, no follow up and to top it off he decided to blame me. Trust me… I would never do business here nor would I suggest you do.

UPDATE: The owner of Ark Sign noticed my earlier review and now has sent me a threatening message demanding that I remove my review from Unilocal.Let the buyer beware.

Ark sings did a great job printing tank tops I ordered for my best friends bachelorette party. They were extremely kind, helpful, and patient and the finished product looked amazing!!!

Very nice owner but the work always late. all works were good.

I called with a very simple question and was told to email them instead because it was easier for them… I wasn’t asking for quote on a ten piece order ! Sheesh.
too bad, we are looking for a regular printer. next…

I stopped on a Wednesday evening before closing not sure knowing what I wanted. Met with the owner Kam who helped me picked out a sign style and made suggestions to what would work best on what I needed. He was very nice and easy to work with. The price was also great. And Kam was installing the sign personally Friday morning. 36 hour turnaround, that is amazing. Thank you Kam!

I work at a gallery around the corner and we often want Vinyl signs for the shows. I often call last minute, on Thursday, asking for big signs and they get it done by the next day. Fast and efficient. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

My boyfriend just got his custom neon instillation for his pad installed by Kamran from Ark Sign. Not only was he helpful, but very honest and was the best price in SF.
He did an amazing job and would we would HIGHLY recommend him for artist/​individual looking to create a unique neon piece!

Okay, what I got done wasn’t fancy or anything, but it was a present I wanted to make personal and special. All I needed was to put a few numbers on back of a T-​Shirt like a jersey. I procrastinated till the very end when I had to mail out the gift. I didn’t give myself time and asked if it would be possible to be done the next day!
Gene was so helpful that he finished the job and called me the next day. I was so delighted that I know if I ever need anything done, I would go to this shop.
Thank you again for being there, you don’t know how hard it is to find a place that does what you do!

Kamran is quite a character. not only does he make neon signs, he is also a kung fu master.
kamran made a custom neon sign for my wedding and it turned out pretty great. the only reason i’m giving 4 stars is because it looked kind of different from the initial template he showed us. he explained in advance that when you do cursive in neon, it’s impossible to get a totally smooth line and said that there would be some breakage in the letters. i just didn’t expect there would be quite so much breakage. with that said, my wedding guests are still raving about the sign and tons of pics were taken in front of it, so it definitely had the effect i wanted. if anything, kamran is a pretty fascinating guy to sit down and talk to for an hour or two or three. the guy knows what he’s doing and he was extremely professional, warm, and friendly. thanks kamran!

The difference is experience. I brought in my design for a banner I thought would work great … Cameron and Gene showed me how to change the design and colors to make my sign stand out more —
How valuable is that? — VERY. I thought knew what I wanted, but got help to make my business more visible.
The sign came out great -. but really, you can’t beat their experienced guidance. That’s the 5-​start difference-​maker.

it was very frustrating trying to work with these guys.
i wanted to have a couple dozen t-​shirts made, they said ok. very nice guys by the way. but they kept blowing me off, saying they would call then never did. i went in there three times to try and just finalize the order but one thing or another would come up and they just couldn’t make time for little old me. no dice. hello? i want to give you my money!
now my order has been delayed two weeks because of these guys. great.

Kamran is the best! He’s very hands-​on and totally knows his stuff. He did 40 t-​shirts for me on very short notice, did a beautiful job, gave me a great price, and talked me through all the decisions I needed to make regarding quality, size, layout, etc so that I was completely satisfied when he delivered them.

I went back a few weeks ago to get something done on short notice — everything with me is on short notice! Kamran was going to Iran for a month THE NEXT MORNING but he stayed a couple of hours to convert my crappy bitmapped image to a scalable vector graphic. The next morning, he worked on it for an hour before he had to leave to get to the airport. Then his assistant Gene (who is really REALLY smart) figured out how to change the colors for me, and then printed it out on a banner. It came out gorgeous! They didn’t charge me for the time, just for the banner materials. (I have to say though, Kamran is an acquaintance of mine, I’ve known him forever, so I don’t guarantee you will get the same service from him. In fact, I don’t think *I* will get the same service next time — he’ll probably run and hide when he sees me — hee!)

Great neighborhood print shop. The owners Kamran and Fay were so nice and were super fast with my print job. I got a great price for these signs, and got them the same day I provided my file. Kamran even gave me tea and candy while I was waiting and made sure I crossed the street to get to my car ok (the area is a bit shady). They make everything from neon signs, to window lettering, to custom printed t-​shirts and business cards.
