Army Street Mini Storage

Great staff! Great service! Would come back (especially since my stuff is here!)
I had to rent a storage unit to store my family’s belonging from our house in Las Vegas. It was fairly a large amount of items and I originally reserved a 10×20 locker. The sign up process was great, easy, and painless. Fast forward to the truck actually arriving from Las Vegas. That morning is when I learned that the locker was actually too far for the large tractor trailer to get to for off-​loading. That is where the customer service goes above and beyond. The employee (Derek I believe was his name) was great. He drove me around to find a bigger locker that was closer to the door. He also opened up an emergency exit where the truck could be driven into. This made the offload time much quicker and got the day completed ahead of schedule.
I really appreciate how easily accessible the location is (right off 280 freeway) as well as the security measures (all the cameras) and the ample room to drive around. Great place to store your stuff!

I have lived in the Bay area now for over 8 years, and have a few storage units.
What I have experienced with this location is above standard for the Bay area. Yes, they offer:
* a clean and secure place to store things.
* a third party insurance company to work with for insurance if your insurance doesn’t cover their location.
* gated and always locked front gate with a key pad entrance. Each customer is given their own code which is associated with their file so it can be documented and ligitimately traced to the exact person on record.
* Paperwork consistently completed for each need or change of service. Even if you are changing the size of storage, new paperwork is completed according to a corporate standard. If there’s ever a question about your occupency or term of the agreement, never worry about it not being on file.
* Professional and approachable Employees. There’s a few members of the team throughout the week and they all have different, but very professional personalities.
* Budget Truck Rental which is sometimes very sweet when you need it because they make that process very easy with sometime more than fair prices on the Budget rate quoted on the website.
* small retail outlet for moving and storage items like tape, boxes, locks, etc.
Bottom line, if you need storage in the Bay area at a fair price, you need to stop here and talk to the team at Army Street Mini Storage. Hopefully they have room for you whatever the amount of space you need.

Great service support and customer service, although the best is the security. Our previous storage had a break in and this time we made sure the place had cameras and a gate that actually locked and worked. Army storage does have real security no shady tenants and a location close to soma.

Just now reading the complaint about how this place didn’t have a truck that was reserved. The place where the truck is SUPPOSED to be returned/​dropped off has zero control over whether the person who has the truck actually … you know, returns it.
I wouldn’t hold the ministorage people responsible … unless there are more details left out.
Me, I’m about to hustle some boxes down there and sign up – again.

I went through here to check out one of their Auctions.
Yes folks, a dude with cowboy garb that talks fast, the real deal.
There were only two storage containers that had any real value, but I didn’t not stay for the whole auction, cash only at the auction too.
A great experience.

Finally, I found a non-​corporate yet clean and safe storage facility in SF. After wasting the morning going to three other overpriced dumps, I Unilocaled my way over here. I wish I had come here first. Everyone on staff is helpful, pleasant, and professional. Most units are drive-​up, tall, and convenient.

Happened to pass by and thought I’d check it out. Josue was AWESOME. Nicest guy, helped us out right away, easy set up. Way cheaper and much better run than my last storage place. I’m happy as a clam now that I have a secure, reliable, and affordable place to store my extra gear.

This is the second time I have come back to use this storage place. The first time, about 4 years ago, was great, they were so friendly and helpful. I actually searched around at other places (hated other places with freaky managers), but came back here because the manager was so nice. I was happy with the price, the time it took to get it all rented, the condition of the place… spotless! Never thought I would write a Unilocal review of a storage place, but they deserve the stars…

They have special deals and they turned me on to Killian — a fantastic mover who got me in and out in across town under two hours and charged me $ 150. I’m going to use him and this storage company again soon.
Very satisfied customer here.

I’ve had several units with Army St. over the years. They’ve cut me deals to beat competitor’s prices. They’ve been flexible and willing to switch me to a larger unit when I did a terrible job of estimating how much storage space I would need. They have never charged me for un-​used time in a space when I’ve emptied out a unit with no prior notice. I could go on and on…
Their staff is totally helpful, understanding and flexible– always making sure that the customer gets the most for their money. There’s no question– this place is the best!

Easy access, clean, well-​run facility.
Really nice friendly folks on staff –and they have trucks.
But the best is being able to drive up to the unit — even the smaller interior ones are close to an entrance. No carts and dollies, no elevators and hauling deep into a warehouse.
Good deal all around.

Kyle at Army Street Mini Storage was wonderful to work with.
At one point I had to work with Uhaul. As I’m sure any of you who have used Uhaul in the past know, it is like a circus down there. Dirty and unsafe area, hecklers begging to help you move, and attitude at the checkout counters.
Not so at Army Street Storage. It’s a small «Mom and Pop» sort of get up and that makes all the difference.
Customer service is the name of the game.
And I, for one, rather like the fact that you can’t access the place ²⁴⁄₇.
It means the place is more secure and you don’t have people loitering around the storage units at 3 in the morning.
Peace of mind.
(but don’t take your chances, get some renter’s insurance! It extends to your storage unit too!)

Have rented trucks from them as well as storage lockers.
Huge, clean facility. Easily accessible with convenient hours.
Amazing customer service, Kyle is kind, helpful, understanding and will bend over backwards to make sure you get whatever you need. All the staff there has been friendly and attentive.
Still renting and still smiling.
