An incredible sound for a community orchestra. The new Artistic Director is really dynamite, and the orchestra continues to provide great performances. Excited to see growth under the baton of Dawn Harms, and glad that they are able to continue to make amazing music while still staying true to their mission.

I am so proud of this little orchestra that could… I’ve been following them for over 2 years and I am blown away by every performance. i had the honor of attending their last concert featuring Dan Glover at the Conservatory of Music. Truly wonderful and inspired performance by all — BRAVO!!! I will be sure to tell all my friends and colleagues to support this wonderful organization so that it may thrive and shine here in SF!
In response to the 1 star review below, this is a false and unfortunate review. The Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival and Coastal Luxury Management were generous to donate prizes to help sell tix to the concert and go out of their way to accommodate winners, BRAVO to them for supporting LGBTQ Arts. BOO to the young lady below who uses Unilocal to write false claims and air personal gripes at the expense of wonderful musicians and small non-​profits who work so hard to share their talents and raise funds to support LGBTQ artists.

So I have to say this first, the symphony itself was great and I really enjoyed everything.
This complaint is more about the marketing department. I won the the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony Sweepstakes sponsored by Pebble Beach Food and Wine. I was really excited and could not wait to go. However, the marketing department did not give me any information and never contacted, as they said they would do, until the day before the event. On top of that they lied about sending me this information, which they did not, I search my email spam and everything. Just very disappointing that I could not go since I had no time to give my employer a notice about taking the next two days off from work.

I went to the performance on sept 19 and it was a great preformance. I was sitting in the balcony looking on to the stage and got to see everyone playing it was wonderful. I am looking forward to the next performance.

Given that this orchestra is much less than a year old, it is truly remarkable to realize how far they’ve come. I saw their first two concerts, and the third one is coming up on January 31. Their most recent concert was at a sold out auditorium at the fabulous new SF Conservatory of Music at 50 Oak Street. That’s also where the January 31 concert will be.
This is definitely an up and coming organization on the local cultural scene. Catch them while you can!

I am very excited to be attending the up coming concert on January 31. I was unable to see them perform at their last concert because it was sold out.
I am definitely attending the next performance at the the SF Conservatory of Music at 50 Oak Street.
People will be talking about their performance and I am sure they will be around for a long time to come. This is a great group of diverse musicians.

This symphonic orchestra «provides a safe and supportive environment for musicians of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.» Tonight they had their first performance. It was fun! Most pieces were things I had heard before (beside the one that as premiered!) — and liked.
I think the orchestra has room for improvement, but I am impressed how far they have come in a short time! I am looking forward to a coming season with concerts!
I am happy to have been part of a night where the ranks of LGBT music has a new spiring branch!
