Only went on a short portion, but I agree with Scott W. It is too broken up by roads, etc.

This«trail» is a joke. The trail stops what seems to be every .25 miles and makes it so that it takes more time getting off and on it than makes it worth using. I’ve taken it on bike from Milbrae to San Mateo. When it wasn’t dead ending in a parking lot, requiring you to get back out in the street, it was merging with Hotel sidewalks. I’ll be trying to take it by bike from SF to San Mateo for bike to work day but I’m assuming it will be as useless if not more from looking at the map. There are huge sections in the city that aren’t even close to connecting and the key or legend for the map have sections for«future trail» and«On street — no bike lane/no path» sections. That’s a street! NOT a trail! I’m sure the good people at Bay Area Ridge are working their patootys off trying to complete all of these sections and make it into a full trail that can actually be used. I totally understand how hard it can be to work with business and municipalities. But for now, this is no trail my friends.
