the 3 stars are for the owner and the muffins. the baristas are cranky and slightly scary.

Came here with friends a while back. It’s a nice, cute coffee shop. First time getting a latte with art, so I was pretty excited. The vanilla rose latte was a miss for me. The chai latte and green tea latte were better. A star off as well because they ran out of mugs… the barista had to wash my cup from a pile of unwashed dishes and cups in the sink. in front of me. But the art was really pretty and service was decent.

The coffee drinks are decent here but too expensive for a neighborhood’y place. I’ve been to Bello 2 – 3 times and will never go there again, not because of the prices but because of the horrible acoustics and being an extremely obnoxious noisy place, especially when inconsiderate stroller moms bring their obnoxious crying or noisy babies into the place w/o regards for anyone else and not to mention that the doors or windows staying open all the time amplifying the heavy traffic noise.

I usually get the green tea latte and a bagel for $ 6.00. Sometimes I get a Cold Brew for $ 3.50 Fast service and great coffee. My new morning spot :)

The coffee is good, the place is cool and the location is very convenient, price is kinda avg, but service is a bit creepy I would say, not sure maybe the guy wasn’t having a good day, just saying, otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

Been here several times over the years so this review represents a span of a few years. Coffee: Simply put the coffee is fantastic. They roast onsite and it’s fresh. I go for an Americano and they pour it well. Consistently good coffee — Five stars. Service: Simply put it sucks. Encountered the same cashier twice and both times dude was rude(white kid, curly hair, early 20’s, and often wearing a beanie). How rude? Second visit, I walk up to the counter and he stares at me. So we stand there staring at each other for like four seconds(count to four yourself and imagine someone staring right back at you) and I finally say«Hello» and I get a blank«hey» in return. I proceed with my order and he rings me up. I have fifty cents in change and he drops it into my open hand. WTF! Place it into my hand you flippin ingrate. Zero Stars The avg of 5 is 2.5 and I’m deducting .5 bc my first experience with this kid wasn’t much better. As a result of this experience, I was forced to look for an alternative and found Café XO not far away on Church St. Baristas and servers are über nice and service with a smile. And you know great service wants me to spend mo money: Americano done right plus five times the pastry selection compared to Bello. I don’t plan to patronize Bello any longer. Au revoir. Tata. Sayonara. Peace out. See ya hate to be ya.

Killer little coffee shop. Love the fact they have green tea Matcha. If you are looking for Matcha, this is the place to go! Good luck, and Cheers!

I really love the coffee here. It’s my go to morning cup. I’d give them 5 stars if they had a little better attitude. They never seem to be in a good mood.

Bello’s the next stop on my renewed coffee shop excursion. The shop has ample seating and free wifi! Best of all, they accept credit cards! Overall, Bello offered a great study /chill environment because it’s not too loud but there’s enough people to keep me awake. Other perks: + Drinks: I ordered the Cold Brew($ 3.50) and a Lychee Iced Tea($ 2.30). The Cold Brew was a pretty bold medium roast(I think). It was a little too acidic but I really liked that they use light ice. The Lychee Iced Tea was made with infused tea instead of syrup which I love. I’m not much of a sweet drink person so unsweetened drinks are always a plus. + Service: Simply kind and helpful. I can’t expect much more than that! + Location: Conveniently across the street from the Glen Park BART station! You should give this coffee shop a try! I’ll definitely be back.

This place is so conveniently nearby when you hop off the Glen Park stop on the Bart. This area in general is a wonderful location because of all the amazing shops. I have to admit, reading all the reviews about this place about how bad the service is and how rude the guys are I was a bit intimidated. But I thought what the heck, majority of the ratings are positive so I had to try it out myself. Walking into the place, there’s a lot of seating for those who want to drink some coffee and get work done. I was one of those people. I ordered a cappuccino with a brownie. It wasn’t anything too special. Just a typical drink and snack. They have a pretty straight forward menu which is kinda nice cause you’re not too overwhelmed with a whole bunch of options. After my experience with this place, I’d have to agree with some reviews. The workers aren’t the happiest but what does that matter? As long as they make your order and your order is to how you want it to be. After that you can decide to stay and grab seat and enjoy your drink or you can leave and not come back. But this place is definitely worth a try. I might come back whenever I’m in need for a coffee or bite to eat. Overall it’s a decent enough place to grab coffee, snack, sit & chill.

Every time I come in here, every time, the baristas are rude. This past Friday a short, white, baldish guy literally looked like he was fuming. I’m not exaggerating. He literally looked like he wanted to punch the wall. Every subsequent person that walked in, he snapped at them too. I want to like this coffee joint because I’m in the neighborhood but for two years now it’s been an unpleasant experience with the people who work there. They are not happy to be there and it’s your JOB to be at least pleasant(you don’t have to kiss up) because you do work in Service. Hello? Owners? Do you not care about the people who represent your establishment? Just boggles my mind.

Chill little coffee place in the glen park district. It was my first time coming here. When i came here to meet a friend to catch up, good among of people walk and in out of this place. Seems popular to the local. Anyways, i got the ice tea of green tea for $ 2.35. Price was cheap since the cup they give you was pretty big. It was more like medium to large. Since it wasnt too busy when i order my drink, they made my drink really quick. It has that strong bitter taste of the tea. Friendly staff. Cool place to come if you want to grab a quick drink or hang out

I’m a lavender lover and this place scores major points for strong lavender flavors that come through in the decaf lavender white mocha. At many a joint, lavender flavored items always somehow fall short for me — weak or nonexistent in floral aroma and flavor. Bello doesn’t disappoint. Overall very smooth and delicious afternoon beverage. The space itself is just the right size for a café — not too big and not too small. Warm colored walls and a fun cold brew machine as décor. Plenty of seating options — stools at a bar/near the window, tables, comfy looking armchairs. The BART(Glen Park) is also conveniently located a 30 second walk away. Good prices for specialty drinks(a 20oz lavender white mocha is only $ 5!) whereas most cafes I go to charge $ 5 for a regular latte. Fast and friendly service. Worth a stop!

As a Glen Park resident, I happened to want a neighborhood, sit-down coffee this morning. The angry looking thirty-something Caucasian guy at the counter was RUDE and unfriendly, got my order wrong(left it in the microwave), unapologetic, stressed — and I left knowing with full conviction that Canyon(friendly, nice, appreciative) is where I’ll go from here on out. Sadly, to add insult to injury, when I approached the(Asian) owner, his response was: «what did he do to you?» It’s more about what he didn’t do, but I didn’t have time to explain basic customer service. Rude boy never cracked a smile, no greeting, nothing — and his«for here or to go» was angsty and abrupt… And it wasn’t even that crowded. It’s unfortunate that small business owners don’t realize the importance of friendly, appreciative, customer service. It’s so basic. Back to Canyon Market for keeps.

Bad service with crappy attitude. Made the wrong drink and went out of his way to make it my fault. No offer to make the right drink. I wouldn’t go back.

My friends and I stopped by this coffee shop on a chilly afternoon for hot drinks. We wanted to order drinks and sip inside. The«barista» informed us that there were no clean cups. He didn’t even offered to wash any of them. What kind of coffee shop doesn’t have clean cups?! The«barista» informed us that he was not knowledgeable about any of the tea choices because«I do not drink tea.» He tossed the canisters on the counter for us to smell the tea choices. This«barista» needs a serious customer service crash course. The coffee tasted bitter and was not hot. We were visiting from Boston and will not be returning. #Save your money.

This coffee shop is conveniently located right next to the fabulous Canyon Market, so its perfect to grab a cup of Lavender White Mocha after some grocery shopping. That drink is SOPERFECT that I haven’t ever wanted to order anything else. Their breakfast items are definitely filling as well, and I always have to keep myself from ordering them since I always come from Canyon and already have a bag full of food. TIP: If you want a more caffeinated latte make sure to order additional shots of espresso because the larger sizes still have the same amounts of espresso(2), but just more milk. Luckily I’ve been told by the barista before ordering my large, and just decided to always get the regular size to get a more concentrated dose of coffee.

Prittttyyy good coffee in Glen Park, right across the Baaaart station. The seating is kind of dated but whatever, at least they serve better coffee and tea than *bucks. I usually get this citrus jasmine something blah tea. It has a sweet flavor to it but its not overwhelming, the hot water could take a cold shower though. Jesus what is with hot water being hell water? They also have this cupcake pastry which has a cheesecake like feel to it(arteries will clog up). This place also has good music.

My bf wanted to find a new place for coffee since we always go to four barrel and what lead me here was the high ratings on Unilocal.Sadly, this place was a let down. We ordered the green tea latte and regular latte. The green tea latte just tasted like foam and cream. It was just okay but the latte was disgusting. It tasted like the bottom of the pot with high acidity and burnt grounds. I don’t see why people like this place. The environment was cool and there was one barista but she seemed overwhelmed and cranky.

I love the consistent service, and quality of their coffee. Café Bello is across the street from Glen Park BART, conveniently located right by the 280. You feel comfortable coming into this spot, good lighting, 4 comfy love seats, good tunes, and rotating art work on display/for sale. The employees are nice, and they are quick. This place roasts their own coffee beans, has a wide variety of loose leaf teas, and makes a great latte. The pastry display case has your usual muffins, biscotti, cookies as well as vegetarian pizzas, quiches, and bagels. If you’re in the Glen Park area, you should definitely stop by for some coffee or tea. Their iced coffee or iced teas are also good. You will not be disappointed!
