Ben did a fantastic job doing photography for our wedding! He was flexible with our choices of location for pictures and taking time to drive around before the wedding to get them done. He took great candid photos as well as staged and during the ceremony was able to get amazing and up close shots without seeming to be in the way or blocking the audience. Overall a wonderful experience!

There was magic in the air, and they captured it.
Your wedding day is the most important and special day of your life. Documenting it is beyond a tough task. I’m sure I was no easy bride to work with. We planned a destination wedding to San Francisco in a month from Tulsa, OK and I had a shot list that would make anyone tired just thinking about it. I didn’t just our wedding captured, I wanted a photo shoot. Ha!
Benjamin was the recommended photographer with Commodore Events. I had already called around not knowing they had an amazing photographer they worked with. That’s when I talked to Benjamin. I looked at his pictures. He called and listened to why San Francisco was important to us and why the pictures were the element of most importance to me.
And then our wedding day came and he KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE BALLPARK! We spoke the day before and I knew it was going to be a fun time. He’s professional, yet feels like an old friend.
I had a slight snafu when we arrived to City Hall and I had forgotten my ID, and he rolled with the punches, calmed us down and suggested it actually worked out better because we could get more photos. Bless him.
We spent the most time with him and his assistant Todd than with anyone on our wedding day, and I can tell you they made our day. They are the reason we had the best day ever. And I mean that. We gallivanted all over the city with them, which was the best part of our wedding day. When we asked to stop at market, they did – and grabbed their cameras. I have never had more fun in my entire life. And they helped give us that. They knew where to go, they laughed with us, they gave us everything we wanted. It could have felt cold and posed – driving around the city with strangers taking pictures, and yet it was sincere and genuine and fun. I could feel they cared and wanted to give us everything we dreamed of. And they did.
Some people take pictures. Other people make the pictures come to life. That’s what Benjamin does.
Each time I look at our photos I find a new favorite.
We had a very small and intimate affair, so we’ve shared the pictures with others. I have never had so much outpouring from people gushing about these photos. You guys. I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s the largest photo gallery ever. People I hardly know have told me they have looked at every single photo and cried.
Yes, the photos capture the emotion and the day so well that strangers feel like they were a part of our day, and the emotion he captured makes you cry with us. They still make me cry.
They are amazing. His work is amazing. He and Todd are amazing people.

Benjamin was super easy and fun to work with. From our initial casual meeting to our fabulous big day, he was warm and down to earth. Benjamin has a great eye for his shots. He included some of the coolest scenes from our venue site, and took awesome family/​wedding party photos. He was with us throughout the day and evening and danced with us like we asked. He accommodated an entire wedding attendee shot request, that was very challenging to capture due to the sun that day! He was a great leader and produced a picture I was truly hoping to have. Benjamin and his amazing assistant were wonderful. We highly recommend!

I met Benjamin at a wedding fair and he had me at Hello! One thing I had in mind when looking for a photographer for our wedding was that I wanted someone that we were comfortable with and had a good connection with. There is nothing less appealing than a photographer that you have to spend hours with that you don’t connect with, especially on an important event like your wedding. I immediately liked Benjamin’s pictures he had on display and liked his fun, easy going personality. We set up an appointment so my husband could meet him and look at his portfolio, and so we could also meet Benjamin’s wife Saskia and talk to her about her wedding planning services. We met over coffee and it was like visiting with old friends. My husband and I decide to make it official and hire Benjamin for our big day! We are so happy and in love with our photos. We loved that he not only had great posed shots but also really captured us and our family and guests in the moment, which was very important to us. We have received tons of compliments on our photos and wonderful comments about how awesome our guests thought Benjamin was. He was competitively priced and was really open to working with us to build the package that fit our needs. We are very happy we found him and decided to have him as our photographer. Thank you Benjamin for capturing our day so beautifully!

My wife and I loved working with Benjamin. Our florist thankfully recommended him and we in-​turn highly recommend him. From the start he was very accommodating about listening to our concerns and gave us a custom photography package (that included engagement session and 9-​hours of wedding day) that fit our budget. Benjamin was great about keeping in contact with us while also not being overbearing as we were planning our wedding and had other vendors/​details to tend to.
For the engagement session he knew the perfect spots in SF to hit and at the perfect time. He also knew how to use the windy conditions to his advantage and saw it as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
For the wedding he was a star of boundless energy. He is very tall and the wife and I marveled at how he can contort himself to get the perfect picture angle. He never tired out for the entire 9-​hours, and he had a knack for balancing patience with being firm. For example, it was during my wife’s bouquet toss that I was in the angle of his shot, and he told me to get out of the way in a way that was not rude but I knew he meant business.
What we liked most about Benjamin was seeing his mind at work. He puts full effort into each shot and all the variables that go into it. As long as you won’t tire out, he has no problem with taking a shot over and over until the conditions are perfect. Then when you see the finished product you realize that it was all worth it.
Booking Benjamin for your event certainly is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. And that is an expert photographer with years of experience and the tireless zeal of a 10-​year old to match. Fortunately I had a moment to myself during the wedding where I can just survey the scene and collect my thoughts. At that moment it hit me that to ensure success on your special day, spend a little more on your photographer, wedding planner, and wedding band.

Benjamin was our photographer for our May 24 wedding. We booked him because when we met with him, he immediately made us feel at ease (which is important for someone who will be up close and personal with you all day on your wedding day!). His prices are very competitive. He brought an assistant to our wedding, even though it was very small (65 guests), which turned out to be really nice for getting shots from different angles, the right lighting, etc. The final product– our photos– were just stunning! We absolutely love them. The reason I took off one star is that our contract stipulated that Benjamin would provide access to our wedding photos in an online gallery and on a USB stick within 6 weeks after the wedding date. Although he did send us the link to the online album (you can preview the images, but can’t get them in full resolution) in about 4 weeks, it took over 7 weeks for us to get the full resolution images on the USB stick. This occurred because Benjamin was out of town and forgot to mail our USB key before leaving town. In the end, everything worked out, but I can’t give 5 stars– following your contracts is really important!

We love Benjamin’s photographic eye, style, and Benjamin himself! We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding and engagement photographer. He has the ability to capture everything in the best light and make the photos that much more romantic and beautiful. He also brings great energy to the day and is a great reminder to have fun and enjoy the moment because you can tell he is making the most of it and having fun capturing your day!
Benjamin goes above and beyond, and does it with grace. My ceremony site was extremely time restricted, but since Benjamin wanted to make sure we had enough time after the ceremony to take photos, he took it upon himself to somehow get the gate keeper to let us stay there for as long as we needed to take the photos we wanted. So awesome!
And as for the reception, I was so please at how Benjamin captured our Chinese style reception. He also surprised us by setting up a large monitor with photos from the ceremony for guests to view! That was a very nice touch. My friend still is in awe by the photos she saw on the monitor, even after two months past she says, «Your wedding photos are so beautiful! The ceremony site and ceremony were already beautiful, but the photos somehow made the place even more beautiful!!» And the funny thing is… I know exactly what she means… All I can say is,“Yep, my photographer is AMAZING!” (And now I come to think of it as I write this… I think that her main take away from my wedding! Benjamin’s photos slideshow and my dad’s speech. Lol)

My husband and I saw an online deal for an Engagement shoot so we decided to take a look at Benjamin’s website. We loved what we saw so we contacted him to meet up to chat. We could tell that Benjamin and his wife Saskia were very sweet and down to earth people as well as we loved his photos so we went for it.
Our engagement session was in March of 2013 in San Francisco and we have never taken pictures like this before so we felt a little awkward in the beginning, but Benjamin made us feel so relaxed and we gradually warmed up to the camera! We got some great shots that we and our family are enjoying.
Our day finally arrived on Oct. 19^th and everything couldn’t have been more perfect! From getting ready prior to the wedding, cruising around in a cable car, to our reception and everything in between. .. Benjamin and his team got it all! The best surprise was during the reception when he put up a screen with some of our shots already edited … We were so amazed how much they were able to catch our day in the light it deserved. Our goal was to share how much we loved each other with all of our friends and family, and I was in awe of how that came out in our photos as well.
Beyond their talent, Benjamin and his team were very professional, which with our group might have been hard sometimes.
I would/​will recommend Benjamin to everyone for any special day they want to capture. AMAZING!

My husband and I first came across Benjamin from an online deal but decided to contact him and ask about his services since we liked his style and online portfolio. From the moment we met him, he was welcoming and just awesome to talk with.
He was candid and honest about his work and life in general. He was very easy to get along with and we felt like he was the sort of person we could trust; so we chose him as our engagement and wedding photographer!
We couldn’t be happier with how the pictures turned out. He walked us through all the steps and was always wiling to answer questions or emails. He made us feel comfortable during the engagement shoot and those turned out great. He was super accommodating and even went to our house on the way to our wedding because I forgot my husband’s wedding band! Seriously, he saved the day.
He was patient and understanding with our large and multi-​venue wedding. He took amazing shots of us as well as all the mandatory family photos. We are so happy to have had him as our wedding photographer. Now, our memories are documented and there to cherish forever!

There are not enough stars to express how pleased my husband and I were with Benjamin. From our initial meeting to discuss our wedding and the «feel» we were seeking to achieve, Ben was über professional, warm, and accommodating. Ben makes each individual in the wedding party, your guests, family and friends all feel so comfortable and as if they are the most important subject in each photo. You don’t feel as though it’s a chore to have your photo taken. (I’ve been in weddings before were I have dreaded all the picture taking) Photos with Ben are lighthearted and really fun!
We were having a very large, but casual feeling Napa Valley wedding, and Ben captured every moment in exquisite detail. As a bride, there is so much that goes on pre-​wedding, and during the wedding that you never really get to see, but with Ben’s photo’s I felt as though I was there at every moment, even when I wasn’t. Ben and his assistant worked seamlessly together. They were able to capture the wedding parties, even when were almost 15 miles away from each other for pre-​wedding events, and then to come together for the wedding/​reception and to be perfectly in sync was amazing!
Our guests raved about how they felt Ben «was everywhere» at all times, and he was! One of the most unique parts of Ben’s service to display the photos he’s already taken of the ceremony and cocktail hour on a large screen during the reception/​dancing. Guests LOVED this! It was not obtrusive or distracting in any way; in fact it added so much to the experience and joy of our friends & family getting a sneak peak at our wedding album… Super, super cool… we kept hearing «oohs and awes» from around the photo display.
As if Ben were not enough, we also hired his wife Saskia Winter of MOOI Weddings (
) as our wedding planner. Saskia and Ben work together to make sure there is nothing, I mean nothing that goes wrong at your wedding. Several times I asked Saskia about something and her response was always…“already done” or «not to worry it’s taken care of»!
These two are a dynamic duo of epic proportions! I would hire them 10 times over and will recommend them to any friends/​family needing professional wedding or event services. They are a pure delight to work with and will not disappoint!

My wife and I hired Benjamin to photograph our wedding cruise of the San Francisco Bay. We arrived early for the wedding and had pictures taken on the lawn in front of the harbor. Luckily the weather cooperated for us and we had a nice sunny warm day in January.
Benjamin had an easy way about him that made everyone relax and feel comfortable when he took pictures.
He took some stunning photos of us with the Golden gate bridge and sunset in the background while we were sailing in the Bay.
It is always scary to hire someone for such an important one time event like a wedding but we were fortunate that everything worked out so well. The pictures were of a very high quality and we have received compliments from the relatives that we have given photo books to. All in all we are very satisifed with the work he did.

My Fiancé and I were looking for the perfect photographer and weren’t having any luck. Either too expensive for the quality of the work or just plain ridiculous. We had all but given up when Benjamin was referred to us by a friend. We were only 1 month from the wedding date at this point and figured it was a long shot. He just happened to have our date free so we met with him. I can say with absolute certainty we made the right choice. Benjamin was very kind and understanding, very willing to lend a hand any way he could and work with us on the details and budget. We were quite simple with our wants and needs yet Benjamin far exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our day shine. Benjamin has a great photographic style which matched our characters perfectly. My Wife and I are extremely pleased with Benjamin’s work, the photos turned out beautiful. On a side note, our reception venue and church were not exactly the most magnificent looking places. With that working against him, Benjamin was still able to make our wedding look amazing. We are so happy with Benjamin and will be referring everyone we know to him. Thanks!

Benjamin did a great job! We could not have asked for more from our wedding photographer. He and his team were very professional, very competent, and the results were just what we wanted. Benjamin has a very relaxed approach which is calming, but you can tell he is working and thinking and getting the job done. He has great focus and is not intrusive. Would definitely recommend him for any couple planning a wedding.

Nothing but good things to say about Ben and his team. Very professional and easy to work with from day one during the initial phone call to the final product. Ben is a wonderful guy. Laid back, but yet gets things done and done well. It was very calming and reassuring to have him with us on our wedding day (he even went out of his way and returned from a family vacation a couple days early just to accommodate us). So many of our family and wedding guest commented to us how much they liked Ben and how easy he was to work with. It felt less like we had a photographer takings our pictures and more like we had an old friend with us. My wife and I commented many times while looking through all the pictures «I didn’t even realize Ben was there!» He captured many pictures we did not expect. The final product was very high quality and delivered much faster than we expected. Basically, Ben is wonderful for weddings, but I’ve also seen some of his artwork and he is just plain talented behind the lens no matter what he is shooting. Could not recommend Ben high enough. Five stars does not do him justice.

Benjamin is amazing! He is definitely an expert at his craft. He does a great job making his clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. My fiancé and I booked him for our engagement shoot and were definitely pleased. The quality of his photos and professionalism is awesome.

My mom and I met Benjamin and his wife Saskia at a bridal fair early last year. Right away, I fell in love with his style and both of their personalities and went home raving to my fiancé (now husband). We set up a meeting with them and had a great time discussing the wedding and what we were hoping for. I felt so comfortable with their abilities and personality that we booked Benjamin for our wedding.
On the day of the wedding, he and his assistants were fantastic. I’ve worked with several photographers in the past (being in the wedding biz myself), and I’ve never seen a more competent and fun photographer. I heard later that the groomsmen and Benjamin were joking around the entire time they were taking pictures, and he made all of my bridesmaids feel at ease. He was even able to edit a few pictures and have a slide show playing during the reception!
We got the sneak peak a few weeks after the wedding and I went crazy over them. Everything he shot was gorgeous and got our «fairy tale» theme perfectly. So many fun, amazing shots and most of the time, I didn’t even know he was there! He even stayed about 30 minutes after our contract ended to make sure he could get shots of us taking off in the limo.
Benjamin is a brilliant photographer that I would suggest over and over again. I really have no complaints about his work at all and the pricing is amazing for the product he turns out.
