I would NOT recommend this place to eat. I first got there and there were no servers on the floor so I sat on the bar to order food. I had the steak from the entrees which was great and I totally enjoyed every single piece of it. 20 minutes later, I decided to order a bowl of rice. 15 minutes later and I still haven’t got my rice, and then I talked to this guy who I am assuming was the supervisor(because he was wearing a blue suit, different than the other workers). He called the kitchen and told told me the rice is coming. 10 minutes later(notice the total of waiting is 25 minutes for a bowl of rice) and I finally got my rice. By then, my other food was already cold and dry. I really expected more from this restaurant specially because it represents the Marriott. Overall, the food was great but the service is sooo pooooor. Thus, I would NOT recommend this place to eat. AND1 star only.

My bartender was really nice. However when I paid for my bill I gave them my Visa card(pictured with my drink) which was different from my visa I put my hotel under. Next day I see the full charge on my hotel hill so had me questioning why did I provide my other visa? I even signed the receipt. So I had to check in with the hotel staff to clarify things. Other than that mishap the drinks were good and strong

Staff was really nice but it took them almost 40 mins to make 2 sandwiches, I missed my morning mtg. Don’t eat here if you’re in a hurry.

The service was amazing!!! I asked the server to preorder some food so my coworker and I could run in right after the trade show since we were on a schedule and he was very accommodating. Food was ready to go as soon as we walked in! The Cobb salad, ahi tuna, and fish tacos were delicious.

This place was nothing amazing. Nothing crappy. It just is… of course it’s overpriced, it’s in a hotel. Beer selection is good enough. Truffle Fries were good, brulee was nothing special. Best part about it is the people watching.

This place is ok. It’s nice and convenient if you’re staying in the hotel. The food is good but very overpriced(typical hotel prices). I enjoyed the variety of items on the menu. The staff is friendly and I enjoyed meeting the guests. You may leave with new friends.

Standard lobby resraurant and bar. We ordered drinks and ginger wings were really good. We had excellent service from our waiter Tom. He was very friendly and since this was our first visit into the city he gave us plenty of suggestions of what to see and where to go. Overall, average food and drink but the great customer service will keep us coming back.

It’s a lovely place and very good ambiance. The food is really good and have tried a lot of stuff here. To get a seat is challenge since its always busy. The service is just standard.

Attended a seminar in the hotel, and ran here for a quick bite. Ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup, along with a watermelon ale. It was all so delish… best grilled cheese and soup I’ve had-really. The ale was very good too, but it have me too good a buzz to then have to go back to my class.

Since I was staying in the Marriott Marquis, I ate here twice out of convenience. Once, while dining alone, I had the chopped salad, and it was fine(and so was the service). Another day during my conference, I met a friend for lunch. Service was slow, and my cheeseburger came out with only a piece of lettuce(no cheese, tomato, etc). It was difficult to catch a server to take note, and I was in a hurry to get to a meeting. I’ve rounded up to three stars for the convenience and for the decent first experience. Otherwise, I would’ve given it fewer stars. Sorry.

Located in the Marriott Marquis lobby s great place to have a beer and a burger and hook up with people in an open setting. If you’re there for a conference its central location makes it easy to see and be seen. Service is a little slow but the food was good.

So after a day of seeing, and doing so much in San Fransisco, my girlfriend and I stopped here for a bite before crashing out in our hotel that was right across the street. The atmosphere was great, and laid back if that’s what your looking. I believe the hotel itself had a couple of bars, and places to eat at on different floors. The whole hotel seem like a great place to go have drinks and a blast. Since this was on a Saturday night it was pretty busy. We had the grilled cheese sandwich, which came with a side of tomato soup, and I washed it all down with a Long Island ice tea, and man that hit the spot! The grilled cheese was amazing! The tomato soup was delicious, and even though I didn’t finish it, due to the fact I was ready to pass out from being exhausted. Yeah I would have devoured it. It’s a return spot for me for my future trips to San Fransisco again.

Sat down after arriving from a 6 hour flight to have lunch. Menus were icky/sticky/nasty. Placed my order and was IMMEDIATELY asked for a room number or credit card ENTERDEERINHEADLIGHTSMOMENTHERE I just PLACED my order and you want a room number or a credit card BEFORE I get my food? I was NOT sitting at the bar nor was the place crowded. I was not part of a large party, either. Against my better judgement, I gave her my room number. WHEREDOTHEYDOTHIS?! Ordered a salad. Within 30 minutes of eating the salad, my stomach was wreaking with pain(I KNEW something was old/dirty/etc., with the salad when this happened). I was pretty miserable the remainder of the afternoon. That night, I paid for it(was up all night SICK in the stomach). I would NOT recommend this place to eat. Got water to drink.

One of the very few places in San Francisco that serves Pliny the Elder on tap! Tucked inside the ground level of the Marriott Marquis, this spot is a few steps away from busy 4th and Mission. Vibe is loungey with a hotel bar menu for quick bites. But the main event here is the PLINY! $ 11.00 a pint is not terrible for a hotel bar… in downtown SF… for a famous rare double IPA. Cheers!

It’s a lobby restaurant in the Marriott, so what can you expect? Suprise surprise… They have Pliny on tap! For a typical hotel lobby restaurant Bin 55 clearly knows what beers to serve. However, I vaguely recall paying twice as much as I would for a pint of Pliny anywhere else. I could care less about the average service and average food. Keep bringing me the good beers and I’ll remain a fan.

Stayed at Marriott Sat night after a Giants game. The plan was to have a beer/wine and a bite to eat after the long walk from the park. Bin 55 was busy and we had to sit at a dirty table. My wife and I watched some game highlights on the TVs in the bar while waiting for someone to take our drink order. We waited 20 mins. Waiter comes by and asks if anyone had helped us yet. No. I ask him about whats on tap and a couple of other questions about the menu and he says, «I’ll come back when you are ready» No.No. were ready. We placed our order for a beer and glass of wine, a salad and a burger. Drinks never come. 20 mins later another waiter comes buy to ask what we ordered. He says sorry we have been busy. We get our beer and wine. We finish the beer and wine. Still no food. We started to leave, I put a $ 20 on the table. Waiter comes and says let me chk on your food. I told him if they havnt started it not to bother. He said No the food will be right up. Waited some more, I was just getting up to leave again. Food came. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. We had to ask for some water to go with our meal. Food was good. Service was crumby. We own 2 restaurants and get it that things can go sideways. Someone calls in sick, management short staffs a shift. Or the staff is under trained. This place gets a bad review simply because it was just bad. There are too many places to eat and stay in this big city. I hope the management asks the staff about this Sat. night(4÷18÷15) and fixes whats wrong. I watched guests having to go up to the bar and help take drinks to thier own party. Good luck

Never ate here, but drank a few beers and cocktails. The place was packed the whole time we were here. Upscale casual dining in a very open bar atmosphere. I’d go back for a drink or if I needed a quick bite while at the hotel.

They have Pliny the Elder on tap, with Pliny the Younger every year. Worth visiting just for that. An unexpected craft beer venue, but worth every second.

I ordered two appetizers here before NYE dinner because I was hungry. I ordered two things on the food menu. the Bin 55 Trio which pita bread and some hummus dips, they were really good. The other one is the salt and peppered battered shrimps which is what I would typically order at the View lounge. For some reason, the shrimp tasted better up there, still good tho. The service was superb despite how busy the place was on NYE. So, I’m giving it a 4-star. :)
