I had my make-​up done by Elaine and she did a fantastic job. I was looking for a smokey eye look and was first to try out their new color collection they just received. Elaine kept asking me if I like the style or if I want it more dramatic. Even with the make-​up cream she used, she applied several colors to see which one I like best. Definitely will come back! This is a 5-​star review for Sara Maita at Blink. She is the best of the best with eyebrows, eye lashes and make-​up. I’ve been going to her for over 5 years total and each session with her is a joy due to her skills and her personality. She is warm, open, and simply, a lovely human being who makes you feel beautiful on the inside and makes you look fabulous on the outside.

Where did Kia from Blink go? She was great. I would love to be able to find her.

This place is way too far for me to become a regular client, but I went in a few times after a threading disaster somewhere else! I came in with brows that were too thin and not the right shape for my face. I don’t know how Kia did it, but I left this salon with beautiful arches, and fuller looking brows. She had a PLAN for my brows, and talked me through the entire process. Everyone here knows what they are doing. Highly recommended if you want real shape, and not just cookie-​cutter threading/​tweezing.

I’ve been seeing Elanie for maybe a year now! She is very detailed when it comes to your brows, and never misses the tiniest hair.
She uses threading, which was originally new for me, but always makes sure you are comfortable. What I also love is that she suggests little changes in your brow shape, which I always trust and take her suggestion and I’ve never regretted that.
I get compliments day in and day out on my brows, and that is all in thanks to Elanie!
This place is a brow hidden gem and I have never once had a bad experience. I will continue coming here for many appointments to come!

Elaine is very detailed. She asked me about my previous experience about waxing. I been waxing my eyebrows since the late 90’s. I told her that it has been 3 years I haven’t got my eyebrows done professionally. She asked me my ideal brow shape or if I like it arched. I explain to her that I used to have my eyebrows arched. But, now I want it slightly arched and not too thin. Typically «Asian» eyebrow. Wtheck I mean by that? A brow that look more natural and not too dramatic. She also informed me that they do not wax and the reason why because many have very sensitive skin which causes irritation, redness, and bumps.
I was willingly to try something new. Threading and tweezing. Every piece of hair pulled out one by one. Shaping and trimming. I believe she told me before hand so I know what to expect. She also thin one side of my brow to make it look more even with my other side of eyebrow (which have bald spot). Elaine is very gentle. It did not hurt one bit compare to waxing which sting.
She recommend a brow growing serum. I was kinda skeptical because for the past 4 years I’ve been trying to grow my brows back but, no luck. She said, 90% show signs of growth within 2 months. So, I bought it to give it a try. She also found a color pencil brow to match with my freshly colored red hair. I didn’t want to use more new product yet. So, probably get it next time.
Once everything was complete. My brows look so amazingly good. I didn’t think it’ll come or this nice! Elaine told me one stand of hair can make a big difference on how your eyebrow look. Which I agree. The one stand of hair that bothered her. She’s a perfectionist and want you to be satisfied with the brow she shaped. I’m very happy with the outcomes. She really listen to what I really want. She also have an idea how to shape it to my liking. Asking me how is the eyebrow coming to. To make I more perfect I told her I didn’t want my brows too sharp and she soften it up for me. She’s very good with what she do. THANK YOU ELAINE.

You are in good hands at this place. I have been coming here since I moved to the city 8 years ago and have never NEVER had a bad experience. Every person who works here is amazing and will not disappoint you.
This place will not wax your eyebrows. They only tweeze and thread, which is a bit painful but worth the results.
They have a list of services including tints and makeup application.

So I was looking for trustworthy place to do my brows since I was growing them for hall month after somebody screwed them up. I read great reviews here and decided to give it a try! The manager was really nice and managed to schedule an appointment with Elaine on the same day. Well, after 50 minutes (eyebrow color and lip/​brow threading) I was truly amazed! Elaine is the sweetest person and you feel comfortable with her instantly. She makes sure to explain what she is going to do and asks what is your preferences. It is definitely worth the investment and from now on this is the only place in the city I will do my brows!

I’m always pleased with absolutely perfect brows and lashes after my appointments here with Elaine. Highly recommend this salon for brows/​lashes. Pairs nicely with Union Square shopping.

Elaine is really great. It is bit pricey but well worth the money. She will spend 45min on you so budget your time wisely.
Now I have beautiful thick and arched eye brows!

I love my eyebrows after coming in here! Before I was skeptical about the amount of time I heard that is spent on eyebrows when you go here but they were really great! Elaine was so kind to explain what she does before she do it so I am not left in the dark. She also took very good care of me because I always cry whenever I do a threading so she took that into consideration. My eyebrows weren’t always even whatever I do but after coming here, they became even. My husband who came with me (that usually don’t even see the difference) say it was beautiful. I highly recommend them.

I just had an eyebrow appointment here with Kia and I loved it! She’s super thorough and an issue all other eyebrow stylists brought up did not cause an issue for her at all. She is clearly very skilled and knows what she’s doing. I’ve never paid $ 50 for an eyebrow appointment but I thought it was well worth it, especially since in the past these activities have always been hit or miss for me. I normally just wait until my eyebrows grow completely out so I figured, any form of shaping, even mediocre is better than nothing =P
Now that I’ve found blink, I’m thinking that won’t be a problem anymore! Kia is also super easy to talk to and really easy to connect with. She taught me how to draw into my eyebrows. I use to always fail at this activity. I love it!
The only issue is that this place is pretty fully booked so you might want to book a little while in advance if you have a time and date in mind.

I had been searching San Francisco for a shop in the city to perform a special job that isn’t normally done. No one would touch the process I was looking for.
Along came Anna.
Yep, in fact, even her receptionist declined my request at first, but then allowed me to speak to Anna herself (the owner of the salon), who understood what I was looking for, and WHY I needed this process done.
She invited me into the salon, explaining that it isn’t something even her salon normally does, but would help me out.
At first the price scared me. I don’t make a lot of money, and it took a couple days to come to terms with it & then I called back & made an appointment.
The building is right in Union Square, in an AWESOME building with the coolest elevator you’ve ever seen!
Anna’s space is warm, inviting, and bright. It welcomes you & envelopes you into a state of peacefulness. You’re offered something to drink, and in my case, as it was a very hot day & I had rushed to the salon to be on time, I was even offered to sit in front of the air conditioner to cool down! That’s just plain considerate!
Well, the procedure wasn’t my favorite, (I’m not used to this sort of thing) and was warned it wasn’t a 100% guarantee it would work.
It didn’t.
But sweet Anna offered me to come back to the salon, on a day the salon was CLOSED, to re-​do it for me!!! Who does this kind of thing??? Really?
You wanna know who? Businesses that care about their customers. That’s who! And Blink is one of those businesses!
Without telling people what I had done at the salon, I have told as many people as I can about how awesome Blink is, and why they should go.
Anna is a perfectionist in her work, and it shows. I can’t speak for the people who work for her, as I don’t have experience with them. But can say they were all very friendly to me, and Anna see’s them as family, which tells me she only hires the best, because you don’t want a crappy Aunt working in the chair next to you! ;)
Male, female, or any flavor, this is the salon for you! Go here if you want it done RIGHT! You won’t regret it. I sure didn’t!!!

After I moved here, I was looking for someone new to do my eyebrows. For me, this is always a hard task since my eyebrows are a bit tough. I was seeing the last lady for over ten years but when I moved, I was forced to see someone else.
I read the Unilocal reviews about Blink eyebrows and read about Kia a lot so I thought I would try her. I have to say the reviews did not disappoint. Kia is awesome! In fact, the entire staff I have dealt with are very kind. But, back to Kia and her awesome eyebrow abilities for now…
I went in with a huge mess for eyebrows. After the move, I saw someone that ruined them for me and the growth of my eyebrow hair was incredibly slow. My eyebrows were growing out so they were not in good shape. I had some gaps and pretty much no shape. I went to see Kia and she was very patient with me. She listened to everything I had to say and talked it out with me. After my eyebrows were done, I was so pleasantly surprised. Kia was able to create a bit of a shape to my unmanageable eyebrows while leaving all the necessary hair there to continue to grow. I have been seeing her for about six months (or more now) and my eyebrows have been improving ever since. I truly believe if you go see Kia you will not be disappointed.
However, I will say I have seen other people’s eyebrows that leave blink and all the people I have seen look fabulous, so if you feel someone else may be a better fit I am sure they will be good too. For me, Kia is amazing!
The one thing I will say is that it is pricey to get your brows done here. $ 50 for the first shaping and $ 40 for each subsequent appointment. However, I have had trouble finding someone really good so now that I have found her, I am not going anywhere else.

I love Sarah. She is the best of the best! I have a difficult work schedule, but she always seems to accommodate me early in the morning.

Have been going to regular spas that do eyebrow waxing for years in hopes that eventually I can get the curved shape that I want, and get them to be a little more symmetrical. Never happened, so I decided to try some place that specifically specializes in eyebrows and came across Blink.
I called and was lucky enough to get an appointment that same day since someone had cancelled. Claudia was very nice and extremely attentive to my needs she worked on my eyebrows for 45 minutes while explaining every little thing about the nature of my eyebrows (how asian brows need to be texturized, places i’ve been over-​plucking) Since my eyebrows still need a little work in getting that «balanced» shape she also taught me how to pencil in my eyebrows while I wait for them to grow in.
Per Claudia’s instructions I now have to resist the temptation to pluck my eyebrows so she can reshape them again in 4 weeks. I have high hopes though, I’m sure my eyebrows will be exactly the way i want them to be in 2 more sessions!

I made my way to Blink after having a scary waxing experience at another San Francisco spa. Now 3 years later, I am excited to in every 4 weeks to see these wonderful ladies.
Kia is meticulous with her eyebrow sculpting and always hits the right eyebrow tint to match my red locks. If you enjoy being pampered, appreciated, and beautified, Blink is your place!

I came here for my initial brow shaping approximately one year ago. I have been coming religiously since then. Every 4 weeks. Have not skipped one yet. Kia is the «Princess» of eyebrows. I’ve seen her from the very beginning of my relationship with Blink. Just sit back and relax as Kia meticulously shapes your eyebrows one hair at a time. Besides all things brow including maintenance and tinting, Kia is skilled at threading as well as makeup application. The right eyebrow shape for you face is a non-​invasive alternative to a facelift! I’m not kidding.

Two months ago:
Me: Kia, your lashes are sooooo long and beautiful. Are they fake?
Kia: Nope, they’re all mine.
Me: Really? (My face says «you’re lying»)
Kia: I grow them. You can have them too if you grow yours.
Me: Grow them?
Kia: I use a lash grower called Lilash. We sell them here.
Fast forward two months and believe me when I tell you. My lashes grew! My girlfriends have all noticed a «long» difference in my lashes. I can actually see the «length» of my lashes in photos! Well worth the money spent. A tube will last you 6 – 8 months!
Make an appointment with Kia. NOW. You will not regret it.

Having tried most of the highly rated brow places in the city, I can’t believe I missed Blink. That said, this was the 2^nd most expensive brow job. $ 50 + tip.
Claudia reminded me of Angelina Jolie so it was unnerving when she stared at me. Since I was hugely intimidated, small talk was awkward. (I’m not worthy!) She did spend close to 45 min on my brows– tweezing, trimming, even threading. So, I don’t feel ripped off or anything.
Brows look ok (maybe a bit too thin & too arched… might just be a personal preference thing.) But not sure if they’re totally worth the money… when I pay more, I expect more. They weren’t quite even, & when I came home, I noticed some small semi-​ingrown hairs I had to clean up. Plus her tweezing hurt!
Also not a fan of that salon environment. Everyone was getting worked on in a large room while sitting. Prefer a more intimate & relaxed setting. Oh yeah, & the music was dreadful too. Felt like I was partying in the Marina.

I was so excited to hear that Sara has returned to Blink.
Sara is absolutely amazing with brows and make up. I’m asian and have a hard time getting my make up done for special events. Sara has a lot of experience working on asian faces. She also gave me a make up lesson which made a huge difference. After the make up lesson, random people (cashiers at store, waitress/​hostess at dinner, etc) started telling me I have beautiful eyes. Honestly, I never received compliments on my eyes for the first 30 years of my life. If you want to look your best, visit Sara.
Anna is also great. I have stick straight asian lashes. I get eye lash perms from her. This is perfect if you are going on a beach vacation. You can have curly lashes even after playing in the water. Anna’s an absolute perfectionist and my lashes always turn out perfect.
