Went in with a bloomspot certificate for 2 massages. Now I’m somewhat new to massages, so I can’t really say where Jaime ranks in terms of quality of massage. I forgot to fill out my pre-​appointment paperwork, and we basically agreed to go with medium pressure, with deeper pressure in parts if needed. It felt great. No complaints there at all.
Appointments were very difficult to come by, and basically, I was given 4 dates/​times that would work until April (when the voucher expires), so I could either go on those days, or let the voucher expire. Unfortunately, both the evening appointments ended up being super stressful appointments to keep, taking into account the madness of driving back from the south bay after work for a 5:30 p.m. appt… talk about NEEDING a massage after that! Anyway, I imagine Jaime did the best she could, and it also didn’t contact her till there were 3 months left to expiration date, so can’t really complain too much.
My peeve (and reason for 2 stars off) is the following: every single treatment I have received in the city has been with people understanding of a few minutes’ traffic or parking delays, and build in a few mins to accommodate that. Now I completely understand that this is a favor, and not to be dismissed in a fit of entitlement, so obviously the tip should reflect the gratitude one feels for that consideration. The first time I went, I was more than 10 mins late. Whatever the worthy reason, the fact is that I was not there at the time we agreed. Now whenever I’ve been late for an appt in the past, the person has asked me to quickly get undressed, and on the table, and then chatted briefly about what I wanted, while adjusting the sheets, etc. In the interest of time, this makes complete sense to me. Instead, when I landed up here, we did nothing but make completely awkward conversation for a few mins. longer than needed (in my opinion, anyway). «I don’t have any physical ailments except a bad knee; this is just for a treat/​relaxation; I don’t know much about massage styles & pressure, so please use your best judgement; no recent surgeries». Call me brusque, but I don’t see why that would have needed to take more than 2 mins. Then I was asked to get comfortable… for another 4 – 5 mins. I imagine it takes most people no more than 1.5 mins. Basically, I ended up getting a massage for around 40 mins in length. I ended up tipping on the whole amount… the delay was my fault, after all. The second appt. was a different story. The studio is a very small room in a marina building, so there’s no waiting area. I arrived right on time at Jaime’s door, after waiting outside for a couple of mins to avoid any cramped situations in the tiny area with a previous client. This time the conversation was a bit less stilted, but I also pretty much forced the exchange to stay short by starting to undress, so we had to move along swiftly. Again, it was time to «get comfortable». For 6 mins or so. Sigh. Anyway, whatever… I figured I was the last client, and it didn’t matter how long we went. BUT I still ended up getting only a massage for 50 mins. Due to NO fault of mine this time. WTF?! This isn’t fair! I will not be going back, ever.

Disappointing. Would have selected zero stars if possible. I bought a two for one deal and I regret ever buying as its been nothing but frustrating. I’ve tried making appointments several times and first of all she never answers the phone and then takes quite a bit of time to get back to you and second she never has any availability inside 6 – 8 weeks out. The certificate I have has now gone to complete waste as she can never accommodate. Her excuse was she oversold the amount of certificates that her schedule could accommodate and didn’t offer any resolution. My feeling is that the full price customers take priority and don’t even consider purchasing her offers as you may come across the same issue

I had couple of amazing massage therapists but due to life changes and distance, I had to part ways and find a new person that could help me take care of me and my body.
It was rough. I went to about 5 massage therapists before finding Jamie and I totally lucked out. COMPLETELY lucked out through purchasing a 2-​for-​1 massage package on Bloomspot for Jaime. I really didn’t know what to expect. From a few past experiences, a massage should be relaxing, NOT feeling as if steam roller just ran through your back OR your stomach is being pushed out of a particular orifice.
FORTUNATELY, Jaime makes me drool and fall asleep. Okay, that doesn’t sound very nice and can be taken in so many ways but it’s a great thing. It means that I’m relaxed! She CARES and really does her job. She’s very conscious of your needs and extremely professional. I highly recommend her if you’re in need of an amazing massage therapist. Please give her a call and tell her you read my review! She’ll totally appreciate it. :)

It looks like I’m jumping on a very long bandwagon of five star reviews for Jaime. I recently purchased her Bloomspot offer (2 for 1 on an hour long massage) and had my first appointment last night.
Pros:
— When it comes to massage, I’m in the camp of «no pain, no gain» and «hurts so good.» As such, I’ve always struggled to find someone whose definition of firm pressure matches my own. And I think I’ve finally found her. Those 60 minutes of deep tissue work on my shoulder and hips/​legs (for the IT band) were amazingly effective. I’m sore this morning, but I can already feel an improvement in my range of motion.
— Her location is super convenient from work… just a short 15 minute jaunt on the 41.
— Her hours are great. My appointment was at 7pm, which meant I didn’t have to make a mad dash or attempt to flag a cab in the financial district.
Cons:
— It’s not cheap. But that’s nothing against Jaime… she has to make a living too.
Bottom line:
Until I become a millionaire with bottomless pockets, massage will remain an infrequent treat. But when I treat myself, I know which rockstar masseuse to call.

5 stars for Jaime. I started going to Jaime when I first began pregnant. and stayed with her all through my pregnancy and beyond. Did she have something to do with my having such an easy, relaxed pregnancy and a perfect birth? Perhaps… who knows if massage therapy really makes a difference, but I am convinced it does. I still try to make a session with her every month or so… and I always look forward to it. Wouldn’t go to anyone else at this point. She’s great at what she does and is also a gentle, loving soul.

Jaime Grand has helped my back problems time and time again. I feel safe when she is working on my body and know that I am in good hands. I know that she really listens to my concerns and adjusts her massage to what my body needs. Jaime can go very deep and yet I have never felt that she was going to hurt me. I have been going to Jaime for over a year and will continue to see her as my primary massage therapist. I can hardly wait until my next massage. I highly recommend Jaime after a long day of work, at the start of a weekend or before a long airplane flight. :)

Jaime is consistently excellent at tuning into what I need for my massage and focusing where I need to be worked on. She is great at both soothing relaxing massage as well as deep tissue work. I have had quite a bit of massage and she has managed to find areas to work on me that I had never thought needed it. She also will educate me on acupressure points she works on me because I have interest in that but have not studied it. She is open to requests and adjustments that I ask for. She’s also really nice to chat with and has a lot of knowledge about different kinds of body work and general anatomy, both from her personal experience and from her studies. She is very good at what she does.

Jaime Grand was recommended by my trainer at Crunch. I’m running my first marathon this fall and wanted to include massage to workout the expected kinks from training and long runs. It was such a good decision! Jamie is an expert. She blends variety of techniques and pressure to address any problems areas. It has turned out to be such a good benefit that I arranged sessions to be a regular part of my training program. I come away from each session relaxed in body and mind. Your in very good hands with Jaime to de-​stress or sooth any aches and pains.

Jaime is a wonderful person and an amazing masseuse. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional on the many complex aspects of bodywork and massage. My appointments with Jaime have varied from times when I just wanted a nice relaxing massage and times when I had some funky pain and desperately needed it. She has also been super accommodating by trying to work around my busy schedule. I feel like she truly makes an effort to work with each client’s individual needs. I have had massages in the past where I felt I was getting a standard manufactured massage, this is not the case with Jaime!

I heard about Jaime Grand from a friend, and when I woke up with a kink in my neck, called my friend and said «what was the name and number of that massage therapist?» So off I went, praying I’d be able to turn my head to the side when I left. When I first saw her I thought «how is this petite gal gonna give me a strong enough massage?» Well, by the time I was on the table and she said «Let me know if it’s too much pressure»… of course I thought I could take it, but no! I had to ask her to lighten up a bit (and I don’t mean on my neck where my kink was, but on my back, where I love deep pressure.) Long story short, I was butter in her hands. Jaime blended Swedish, Deep tissue, Thai, and Acupressure to address my aches and pains. She definitely knew what she was doing, and I get massaged often. I can tell right away when they don’t really understand the muscles! Jaime has done her homework, because she told me some stretches I could do at home for my neck, and I realized after I left and went about my day that yes, I could turn my head! and that «shoulder boulder» seemed more like a pebble. Guess I’d better call back and book for next week so I can stay destressed and mellow through the holidays.
