Bun Bun Bridal Lab specializes in natural elegant makeup and hair styles for weddings and special occasions. Many of our clients are looking for natural yet glamour look. We’re based in 2 locations at SF Hayes Valley close to civic center and Benicia area close to Napa Valley. We serve SF Bay area, Napa, Walnut Creek, East Bay, and beyond.

We design your goddesses look reflected by luminous makeup. This look is very luxe, but not loud. This type of elegant celeb style has evolved that is about enhancing your features rather than hiding your flaws. When you enhance your God-given, physical beauty, it is more than just an outer transformation. You exude confidence and joy — this is our mission. We use all kinds of quality products and is careful about sanitary. Some celebrities’ looks insirered her lately are Blake Lively’s effortless beauty, Gigi Hadid ‘s glowy dewy complexion, Chinese actress Tang Wei’s sophisticated look, and Korean star Park Shin-hye’s natural subtle style.

History

Established in 2014.

The founder Felicia’s holds a MFA in Fashion and also has professional background is Information and Communication. Felicia is a certified airbrush makeup artist trained in Hollywood; also was trained by top celebrity salon Jenny House in South Korea and the famous bridal stylist Vanessa O makeup studio in Taiwan. Felicia has lived and worked in between Bay Area, Seattle, and Taiwan these years. Prior, she worked in IT cooperation while enriching professional beauty and styling skills on the side. Her artistry has evolved from a hobby into a love that has blossomed into a career. Felicia works as a bridal stylist for a few years before working on her own. In 2014, Felicia officially launched Bun Bun Bridal Lab.

Felicia did my makeup & hair at my wedding, and her assistant did my mom’s. Felicia is very professional, patient and accommodating. She spent time with me on a trial and made sure we had a chance to walk through all the details before the wedding. That being said, I did feel the makeup was heavier than I wanted and the hair could be overall more sleek. Nonetheless, she made the look I wanted happen! Also, she helped a lot during the wedding ceremony and photoshoot, offering touchups on-location whenever possible. I have had trials with other MUA’s before the wedding and had no regrets choosing Felicia over the others. She’s down to earth and loves her job and makes the bride’s vision a priority. She also just got a studio in downtown, which I think is a proof of her hard work and dedication paying off. It was great to have worked with her!

I had Felicia for my City Hall wedding. She’s very nice and patient, and she made me really pretty on my big day! All my family loves my look, and the hair is very beautiful! Also she gave me a touchup kit, so I could do some simple touch ups by myself during the day. Her studio is pretty close to the City Hall, so it’s convenient for a city hall wedding. I’m glad I found her to help me for my wedding!

I have been very blessed to have Felicia and her team be my stylist on my wedding and engagement photo session. Me and my bridal party had so much fun while getting ready. Felicia did mine and her assistants did my 4 bridesmaids’ on the wedding day and it was perfect. When my boyfriend proposed last year after calling my family with the exciting news I researched online and called Felicia to book my trial with her. After the trial, there is no one else I would trust with my wedding hair and makeup than Felicia. She is amazing at what she does and she will discuss with you what you want for your style and make it happen and makes it even better and it lasts all day. The makeup was perfect and lasted all day, which was amazing since I cried through the whole ceremony. Felicia is very comfortable to be with and makes you feel right at ease on your wonderful/stressful day. I had a great hair and makeup experience and I promise she will make you look and feel beautiful on your important day.

Felicia is an exceptional makeup artist, and a hair stylist. We had her for our wedding ceremony at SF city hall.
We found Felicia’s portfolio online and we did not book any trial session due to some time concerns. But Felicia was so accommodating and she is such a professional. She asked me about my skin type, my personal style, my hair condition, and whats the look I am going for ahead of the wedding day. She is also very sweet and thoughtful, offered me lots of tips on how to get prepared for my big day, both mentally and physically :)
Her bridal makeup skill is beyond superb! I must say I looked amazing on my wedding photos thanks to Felicia. My makeup was natural, beautiful and match my skin perfectly, which is exactly the kind of look I want!
My hair looked unbelievable! I naturally have thin and flat hair which is extremely hard to style. She made a miracle — my rather thin shoulder length hair became a full, gorgeous high bun with tons of volume and texture! I wore it the whole day in to humidity to wind and it stayed just right!
It was such a joy working with Felicia. She is always smelling and listening to what the bride wants — exactly what a bride needs on her wedding day! Definitely the best makeup artist a bride could ask for!

I am so glad that I found Felicia and hired her to do my hair and make up for my wedding. She is a dream to work with — super responsive to e-mail and very professional with a great sense of style and attention to detail. I notice she always has the updated style and knows the trend since she has a fashion background. In addition to that, she is just a pleasure to be around. She has a calm and reassuring demeanor. She is willing to come at 5:00 in the morning just to be sure that the wedding party would be ready in time. It’s nice having her there while everyone is getting ready because she feels almost like an old friend! She and her assistants really set a great tone when styling all my bridesmaids by chatting and playing music, and helping all of us get psyched up. They did a great job of taking into account each girl’s personal style, but making everyone look gorgeous. We received so many compliments from other guests! I have never had false lashes feel so comfortable on my eyes. I completely forgot I was wearing them because she applied them so well. I didn’t want to ever take them off! Felicia and her assistants stuck around through nearly two hours of pictures to touch all of us up right before we walked down the aisle. The best part was that when I got to my hotel room 11 hours later after a day full of crying, dancing, sweating, etc. my make up still looked picture perfect. I would enthusiastically recommend Bun Bun Bridal Lab to any bride who wants to feel and look great on her big day.

We hired one of Felicia’s MUAs, Charlene, for my niece’s prom styling. My niece thoroughly enjoyed her time with Charlene. She was super nice and easy to chat with. She also understood her needs and was very understanding with our requests. My niece didn’t want to use the eyelid stickers, so she didn’t force her to do anything. My niece was sort of uncomfortable with getting fake lashes, but she used very light lashes and cut them in fourths so that my niece would barely feel the weight. Her make up techniques were very professional, and we greatly appreciated it. Her foundation was a bit lighter than my niece preferred, because she likes to have tan skin instead of being on the paler side, as we know most Asian girls prefer. Still, a lot of friends complimented my niece’s makeup, and we were very glad that we came to Felicia and Charlene. The makeup lasted all through the night, even through all the dancing my niece did.
Throughout our session, Charlene was very polite and fun to talk to. She made great conversation and was generally very patient with us. We definitely enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to my friends!

From the beginning of booking hair and make-up services, Felicia was very professional and accommodating. She was very helpful, which made this process go very smoothly. I was called to be the matron of honor at my cousin’s wedding in Yountville, CA. My cousin was unsure if her hair and make-up artist would be able to accommodate the bridal party as well, so I went ahead and secured my own glam session. Felicia is very sweet and creative. She is very knowledgeable with working with Asian hair and make-up, which put me at ease! She made my Asian eyes look bigger! Yay! I was able to get my hair and make-up done at my hotel room, so no traveling for my glam session, thank goodness! Also what really struck me is how many time she washed her hands while doing my make-up! That put me more at ease since that is key to preventing any eye infections! Am a RN, so am all about washing my hands too! Felicia’s prices are reasonable, I got what I envisioned! I would definitely book hair and make-up services again with her again for any future events! I would also recommend her to any friends and family looking for hair make-up services around the Bay Area!

I hired Felicia for my civil wedding at SF city hall. She is amazing! I love what she did for my makeup and hair! The final look was great! She also provides hairpieces so you don’t have to worry about buying those at your own expense. She also did my then-fiancé’s hair and covered up his acne scars. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t get a chance to do my trial make up/hair because I live in SoCal.
She is also very friendly. Whenever I asked her questions, she always answered me promptly. I would recommend her to everyone!

Felicia did a great job on my friend’s makeup for her wedding in Feb! The trial on the day of her bridal shower went really well and they chatted afterward via email about changes she wanted to make for the big day. On the day of, Felicia and her assistant arrived at the hotel right on time and was super sweet and calm which helped my friend feel relaxed. She and her assistants also did the makeup of our girlfriends and in-laws and they all looked gorgeous! Many of our friends commented about how naturally beautiful my friends looked and we really appreciated Felicia’s approach to making my friend look like the most fresh version of herself rather than a totally different person. I thought Felicia did a great job when she did my friend’s makeup and hair last year for her wedding. My friend had her did all the makeup/hair for the bridal party too. She and her crew arrived on time and she was very friendly. She was well prepared with all her makeup tools and makeup. She even brought matching robes that we can used for photos. Thoughtful!!!
I had been bridesmaid before but I never noticed any makeup artist as attentive as Felicia. She was constantly around to make sure my friend is looking her best. My friend had hired her all day for her wedding and she did so many touch up and hair style for my hair.
Overall I would recommended her as a makeup artist.

Felicia is the best! I am a photographer and had the pleasure to work with her. She stayed with me and the couple for the whole 11 hours and did 3 sets of makeup and hair styles, and made the bride look constantly at her best, beautiful and glowing. I heard lots of guests talking about how pretty the bride looked! Felicia made my job so much easier as all the close up portraits didn’t need tons of editing thanks to her flawless makeup skills. As a side note, she was a charming person and was able to laugh with us and made the bride totally relaxed.

I had a special make up session with her and saw all the products she uses are high end brand name products, some of them she even bought all the way oversea. Felicia was my MUA for our wedding. She did hair and make up for myself, my MOH and my mom and we were all very pleased with what she did!
I chose the full day package so that Felicia could stay with me for the entire day for any touch ups needed and we also had a hair style and make up change before the reception. I highly recommended this package for a worry free day!
Felicia was the first of my vendors to arrive on the wedding day and stayed till after my photographers had left. She was very diligent and kept checking to make sure that my make up looked good the whole time. Her make up style is very natural and was exactly what I was looking for. My make up didn’t look cakey at all and it was very comfortable to wear the make up all day. She also provided a lot of hair accessories and was very generous to let me borrow them for the night.
