I went in as a ‘walk in’ potential customer, to see if I can get a massage within the hour. The receptionist said yes, but it can’t be for the full hour’s worth (because there’s another customer in the next hour? I am assuming as she didn’t explain further), however they will charging me full hour price.
I thanked her, walked out, and I had the BEST massage at spa Nordstrom.

I absolutely loved this place! We came to celebrate my moms 50^th birthday & it was a complete success. We were treated like queens. Jessica gave me my massage & she did absolutely amazing! After my 50 minute massage we were able to enjoy the jacuzzi & sauna for as long as we wanted. Prices are complete reasonable for how elegant the place is & for all that is offered. Once you’re done with your day you can shower & get ready there. They provide you with literally EVERYTHING. There’s blow dryers, straighteners, hair ties, q-tips…anything you can think of, they have. Can’t wait to go back!

Came with one of my friend. Its best if you make a reservation ahead of time especially on weekend since it can get busy. My friend and i came here an hour early before our appointment so we can use their amenities before i do my manicure spa service while my friend her pedicure. I didnt get the chance to try their amenities cause i didnt know that you have to spend minimum $ 75 or more or join their membership to be included. My manicure service cost $ 40. I could add amenities if i wanted to but i would have to spend more on so i went on without it.
Its your simple typical manicure but at a expensive price. But the person who did my nails was nice. Maybe i should their other services the next time i come here

I hate giving a bad review especially one star but I’ve been here a few times and my last two times involved getting skin burns. While the management gave me my money back on my last visit, it is unfortunately not the experience you expect at a luxury spa. My daughter and I had a pedicure and it was delightful until they put my feet in a scalding paraffin fryer that had not been cooled down and my feet were scalded that it felt like putting my feet in a French fryer. no joke. I screamed as I watched the person heat it up and not cool the paraffin before inserting my feet. Made the experience so miserable. I’ve had paraffin treatments where they pour hot liquid in a bad and let it cool and use right before it becomes thick. This was not the case… absolutely scorching liquid and they inserted my foot in the fryer. while it was heating and plugged in the wall.
Next miserable experience was a long awaited massage after a 9 day working the SF Auto show. I stepped into the pool and screamed from how hot it was and when I got out I noticed my legs were red and burning
When I went to my massage a few minutes later I told the masseuse how uncomfortable my legs felt and he examined and acknowledged I had suffered 1^st degree burns and put aloe on my legs and after my massage gave me aloe to take back to my room. I was charged full price and given a 20 percent discount when I complained to mgmt. When I flew home I wrote to mgmt and they asked me to send all the pics of my legs over the next few days which I did. They were more upset at the staff for acknowledge I had 1^st degree burns instead of acknowledge that I complained and showed my legs on site and was only given a 20 percent discount and it took me flowing up after filling out a incident report on site to get mgmt to refund my money. I got my 200 something back but I won’t go back ever again. I’ve been to top luxury spas and never experienced such uncomfortable experiences and bad customer service. Not impressed.

This review is for a facial I received in April. Therapist applied a few products that smelled and felt great. After each application, therapist used towel to clean my face, i felt like she was scratching my face with towel to remove product. I was was confused while trying to stay calm and stress free. After facial I noticed she used a ribbed terry bar towel. I am wondering if this is what therapist usually use. Ive had facials in the past never experienced discomfort. I am extremely disappointed with my experience.

I’m not quite sure how anyone could give this place a bad review! It was absolutely amazing. My masseuse Pam was great and gave me an enhancement to my massage for free for my birthday. The private bath was very nice and the attendant brought me a plate of fruit. The jacuzzi is wonderful and on a weekday you have it to yourself. Let’s not forget about the private room to take a nap too! I can’t wait to come back. The staff treats you like royalty. It was perfect!

Love it here… I honestly can say it is a real escape from the ‘real world.” All day services and nobody rushing you around. I highly recommend this place to anyone who really wants a relaxing day of peace and quiet… I have come and gone many times since I turned 18 and nothing compares. Must experience.

I’ve been going here for a while and just recently became a member in December. This review is for the service I receive on May 20^th with Vanessa who is the worst message therapist on planet earth!!!
I got the pure relaxation message and she touched me as if I had Ebola. She literally use two fingers to gently poke me on the back like you would poke a dead bird with a stick! There was no messaging of any sort, she rubbed my skin the way you would dust flour on a pie crust. Swear to God!!! But when she remove my hands from underneath the blanket she would fling it. Her energy was hurtful and unpleasant. She did not want to be there, she did not want to be messaging me. She never asked me if the pressure was ok, missing her chance to upsell.
When I notify the front desk girl about how absolutely bonkers the message was, they informed me that the pure relaxation was meant to be lighter. DUH??! Check my records, I’ve been getting deep tissue there for a while and switched over to pure relaxation bc the deep tissue caused me to bruise. I’ve gotten pure relaxation by a male therapist before and it was perfect. She failed to acknowledge the root of my complaint. When she asked if I would like to tip… I replied with a no, after that she looked passed me and said «next customer!» What the actual f**k???
Going to be taking a break from Burke for a while even tho I’m still a member. Going back to Nob hill spa and Buddha bliss. If you happen to book a message with Vanessa I suggest you run for the hills.

I’m a member of this spa and it’s truly great. The staff is very customer focused and work hard to make your visit a welcome one. The amenities are great, highly recommend getting there before your scheduled time to spend time in the sauna and steam room. I like to go at night, it seems less crowded.
Parking: 5^th and Mission is the place to go, directly across from the mall. Easiest entry point is at Bloomingdales, take the elevator up to the 5^th floor (movie theater is on same level).
Amenities/​Toiletries: great towels (seriously I’d like to buy them), good quality body wash/​shampoo/​conditioner in showers, they also keep all supplies in other areas well-​stocked. There’s a separate room with hair supplies and the blow dryer is excellent.
Sauna/​Steam Room: worth getting there an hour earlier to visit. I love it, and they keep cold water stocked nearby. If you didn’t grow up in a naked house, be warned that ladies will get in solely in their birthday suit.
Services: Jeanette is fabulous and will be my go-​to for massages. She applied light to medium pressure and was responsive if I asked her to switch. She also gave me recommendations on using heat to relax my shoulder tension. I saw Elise for a facial and she was also excellent. I loved that I didn’t have to ask her what products she was applying, or why. She didn’t use the upsell on me, so of course I bought the cleanser.
I took one star off because I think they should set some standards in the waiting area. This is a deluxe spa, I do not want to hear the conversations of others. This time around, some young’un kept talking about how she was trying to up her «thought leadership skills». She went on for at least 10 minutes. Dumb AF and rude. There is a quiet room and I guess I can wait in there. There just seemed to be a lot of chatter in the waiting room and it killed my relaxation vibe.
Overall I enjoy being a member and consider it a treat!

My sister and I decided to treat our mom for Mother’s Day, but we both figured we might as well join in on the pampering too.
I have 12 – 13 hour days (work + commute) so by the time the weekend hits, I am usually exhausted.
I scheduled for a massage and facial in the hopes to walk out feeling like a brand new person. My masseuse was absolutely amazing. I asked her to focus on my lower back and shoulders because my long commute aggravates those areas. I have no idea how she knew, but she made sure to provide extra care to my right shoulder. Interestingly enough, this area has been quite achy as of late so I appreciated the extra attention she gave.
The warm towels and foot rub seemed like an extra bonus! I la la LOVE a good foot rub and let me tell you, it felt like heaven. My masseuse was very nice and she took really good care of me. She made sure my entire experience was calming, relaxing, and extremely therapeutic.
My facial was also very nice. I chose the Vitamin C treatment which left my skin feeling smoother than a babies bottom! It was so nice because the facial was like a mini massage in itself. Having my earlobes rubbed literally put me to sleep because it was so relaxing. Ireland was really good and attentive, she held just enough conversation to where the facial was still relaxing. She also made sure to be gentle during extractions, one of my favorite parts!
I spent time in the hot tub, it was nice and warm. The lounge (waiting area) is very professional. The lemon grass tea might have been one of my favorite parts of the spa, soooooooo sweet and tasty!
Just a note: make sure you get clarity in terms of spa «enhancements». I don’t understand how removing gel polish is an enhancement. I mean, how else do you remove the polish otherwise?!! At any other nail salon removing polish is a standard. I have to remove a star because it seems like this place nickel and dimes you for the smallest things and labels them as «enhancements».

This is truly the crème-​de-​la-​crème of day spas! My best friend took me here for my birthday after deciding that there is nothing to get a girl that has everything, and I loved the surprise! Walked in and checked in at the counter, BEWARE: bring your ID stating you’re 18 or over, they actually check! The lady at the counter gave us a tour, then told us where to change. We got into our robes and went outside to the social lounge. Where you could have lemonade and water. Then we proceeded to our massages. I fell asleep for part of it, so it means it went well right? The other bummer is that I didn’t get to take advantage of the amenities :[ such as the quiet room [HA! as if I would have even stayed longer than 2 mins], steam room, and sauna. I did like the vanity room they had, with a bunch of stations with clean brushes, combs, Q-​tips, hair straightener, curler, and etc! I have to say, out of all the spas I’ve been to, this was the best addition a spa could have! I will need to come back and use up the other amenities!

Luna had the hands of an octopus, I seriously felt like there were so many hands on me during my massage, it was amazing! I’ve had plenty of massages with Burke Williams and am usually very picky with who I choose to do them. Since I was visiting I just booked it for whoever and I am so thankful I got matched with Luna! She made me forget where I was! Her technique and style is something I’ve never felt before and I enjoyed every minute of it, only wished it had been longer!
I got my pedicure with Polina and she was so sweet and extremely thorough with the paint part of the pedi. My feet felt so pampered and soft!
The décor here is darling, a Parisian feeling with a nice open floor plan. I loved looking at all the products in the lounge area! The spa was also very clean and the attendant, Alicia, made sure to keep it that way and to assist you with anything!
All of the staff was exceptionally nice and warm and I am very grateful I was finally able to come and experience this location! Thank you ladies for a memorable visit!

As luxurious as spas get. If you really want to dedicate yourself to the spa life, then I would suggest a membership as the regular price tag is pretty hefty.
I got a facial here recently which cost $ 135. That is EXPENSIVE. But you are paying for the amenities (jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, quiet room, showers). I could lounge around here all day. Most of the areas are clothing optional.
Anthony was a fantastic esthetician. He pinpointed very specific traits about my face that needed work (dryness around the jawline, excess buildup up on the hairline, hyper pigmentation on the cheeks, etc.). Of course you leave feeling like you really need to do more for your face. But you also leave with such an intense glow.
With the facial comes a paraffin wax dip for your hands which is SO HOT that I cried inside and a foot massage that seemed a bit out of place. Also, the bed that you’re in is heated and can be adjusted exactly to your liking.
There are lemonades, hot teas, and fruit-​infused waters at every corner so you’re never left thirsty. Service was fantastic from beginning to end.

I’m still a member, and I plan on keeping my membership, for now. I’ve realized that the monthly treatments do actually improve my life/​health quite a bit. I also love my therapists here.
However, please stop assigning me lockers with size 4XL robe and size 12 slippers! I swear, they could probably have a better system for this. Like maybe even # lockers are smalls, and odds are larges, for example.
Also, the «Shhhhh» sign in the women’s spa area isn’t working. A couple of boisterous women ruined about 45 minutes of my quiet time. I couldn’t escape them, their voices echo through the whole area.
PS. It’s impossible to call the front desk, their call center can’t even reroute me. I once left a message thru the call center for them, and no one returned my call for nearly a week later. I may as well have written them a handwritten letter.

Thank you burke williams for a great day. I recently tweaked my back so i thought i could go and try to relax it a little. Yup it helped 45 for use of the facilities not to bad could have spent all day in there. The sauna was a god send as well as the big jacuzzi tub. Thanks again i will be back

Peter is an amazing massage therapist. I received a 50-​minute relaxation massage, floated into the jacuzzi bath for 10 minutes as he directed, and left the spa feeling healthier, lighter and happier. Prior to my massage, I went into the jacuzzi bath, steam room and mist room. I drank about 5 cups of lemonade, then almost fell asleep waiting to get called for my massage. I’d love to go back and take up Peter’s recommendation for an 80-​minute massage. Just need to find the time!

I have been going to Burke Williams for over a year now. I was a little on the fence about BW at first for several reasons: it’s located in the Westfield Mall which doesn’t necessarily scream «relaxation» and of course, it’s also a chain. My first few experiences were fine: my masseuses were good, my facialist was good — nothing that really floored me. Though I really enjoyed the relaxation rooms with the massive jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and lots of nice touches like cucumber water and fresh fruit to munch on.
But then I found «my people»: Aisha is an insanely talented deep tissue masseuse. Her hands are like vices — but not in the «Oh my god, I’m going to die during this massage» way. She just really gets in there and gets it all out. I can barely walk when I finish an appointment with her. Now that I’m pregnant, I’ve also found Diedre. I look forward to her bright, happy face at every prenatal appointment. She’s truly gifted when it comes to pregnancy massage and knows EXACTLY what your body needs and where. I have definitely woken up drooling a few times. I also love Ireland for my facials. I love extractions (and so does she ;) but my face never looks like a battle zone when she gets done. It’s bright, fresh and so healthy.
I ended up becoming a BW member and I’m so glad I did. Your full membership fees are applied towards your services; you get 20% off every service in addition to the monthly specials. I’ve actually found the location super convenient — I just valet with Nordstroms or park across the street at the Metereon. Once you’re in the spa, you’d have no idea you were in a mall (and it’s actually nice if you need to get some shopping done!) I love that you can book online and they’re also super helpful when you call. They don’t have a 24 hour cancellation policy either — so if something comes up, it’s not a biggie.
And tip to pregos: ask them about the complimentary private bath. They are very insistent on scheduling you one and I finally took them up on the offer. OMG! You get your own private bath with candles, a fruit plate, water, loofahs and scrubs. They really look after you. It was just delightful and such a nice treat during an already wonderful day.

It’s been a while since I’ve come back and it was exactly what I needed. We had a group of 6 ladies and we were given the best treatment. We all had our treatments and after they brought us out to the lounge and had a nice fruit platter for us to share.
Everything about this place is relaxing, the way they speak to you, the way you’re being treated, the amenities. I was definitely not disappointed. I have gone to other spa’s because this spa is a bit pricey but you get for what you pay for… right! I can’t wait to come back here.

My first spa with massage experience was at this place. I never pamper myself so my sister bought this massage for me for my Birthday. This place is amazing. The staff here are great and attentive. The amenities are great too. I would highly recommend this spa.

Yes! I’m the 700^th reviewer of Burke Williams. I’ll happily accept a free massage if any staff is reading this! Just kidding. Anyways, everyone has heard of Burke Williams spa but we’re all too broke to actually purchase any services. Luckily, my awesome sister treated me for a massage here. As I nervously walked through their large double doors hoping not to break anything, I noticed the relaxing atmosphere as I could smell the wonderful aroma of lavender and expensive lotions. This must be the same air the Kardashians breath. I walk past all of the other customers dressed in robes relaxing on the couch and enter into the locker room. Their spa consists of a jacuzzi, dry and wet sauna, showers, ice towels, bathrooms fully stocked with anything you’ll ever need from tooth brushes to hair spray and the best lemonade you’ll ever drink.
I changed into my robe and joined the others in the waiting area for my massage. The masseuse came right on time to get me and i went into my room for a massage. The massage was wonderful! Perfect pressure, perfect relaxation rhythm. I could tell they were well trained and knew what they were doing.
Overall, this spa is worth every penny (easy to say since I was treated). If you take advantage of their spa area on top of a massage and maybe drink 100 dollars worth of lemonade, you’ll leave feeling like a boss. Easy 5 stars.

So this was only my second time here. Located at the Westfield center –you can take the elevator from bloomies and go straight up they are located next to the movie theatres. I checked in and was offered a refresher tour which was helpful
I was given a key to my locker and escorted there. Once inside you totally forget you are in a mall it’s really lovely inside and currently decorated for Xmas. I did wear a swimsuit even though it’s clothing optional. I used the steam room, jacuzzi and cold room lots of towels and water. Nice and clean attendants are walking around checking everything is in order. So I had a gift certificate for a 50 minute massage (please check the price as apparently my gift card was purchased in Orange County which I wasn’t aware of and the price is higher in SF however Renee was kind enough to adjust my bill and deduct the extra $ 25 off (hopefully) my massage therapist was Ella and she was great u did add an enhancement — Burke Williams it was great she was really good and gave a great massage I will definitely go back again to see her and enjoy the spa soon !

There is a huge lack of competition in the day spas of SF category and if you’re looking for the closest thing similar to a Vegas spa experience, this will be it. But definitely don’t expect the full-​on Vegas glam spa experience because Burke Williams is smaller with fewer amenities, but good enough to satisfy. Nevertheless, this spa is definitely the best so far out of all the ones I have been to in the city. Expect to pay an obscene amount for what you get though.
I came here for a 50 minute deep tissue massage for my birthday and it was painfully good. Here are some things I wish I knew ahead of time though:
Massage:
When getting a message, they will throw your robe and slippers into a heater so that when your massage is done, you can slip into a warm and cozy robe. While it sounds nice and thoughtful, the issue I had was that my slippers (rubber) were thrown in, so when I put them on, they were SCALDING hot. Like unbearable, bye epidermis. I found out later that my sister’s slippers were not heated, but she had her cell phone in the pocket of her robe and was pretty upset to find out her iPhone was being baked in an oven without her knowledge for almost an hour. While being massaged, you are already on a heated blanket. So I was very hot the entire time and then you have to add an even hotter robe to put back on and I am just about to pass out. Be warned and say something about this ahead of time to avoid the mishaps my sister and I endured.
Amenities:
Just the standard hot tub (max 8 people, according to their sign), steam room (I think there is eucalyptus in it because it stung in there), sauna, and cold room. The only additional room you can expect is a nap room which is basically a room with reclining chairs and a blanket.
Products /​Beauty Supplies:
You are allowed to sample some of the H2V products in the retail section (different acne, SPF, anti-​aging, and moisturizing lotions /​cleansers /​serums /​exfoliants for both body and face). There is shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the showers as well as bandages, disposable razors, shaving cream, and shower caps. You can find makeup remover, toner, cotton swabs & rounds by the bathroom sinks. There is a room to do your makeup and hair, but there are only 4 seats and 5^th standing area. Each station has a blow dryer that will take a very long time to dry your hair if you have long or abundant amount of hair. They only have small curling irons
(¼″ or ½″?) which is kind of 1990s of them. Every single woman with me in the room was looking for a bigger curling barrel, and I secretly smiled on the inside because I brought my own 1″ barrel. The only hair products they have are a leave-​in conditioner for colored hair, a gel /​mousse /​pomade /​strong-​hold hair spray as well as hair brushes, round brushes, and combs. THEY DO NOT HAVE HEAT PROTECTANT. So I would strongly advise bringing your own.
Other notes:
–They have swim suit bags to store your wet swimsuits in, although most all of the women will choose to go sans bathing suit. If you’re not comfortable with that, prepare to be uncomfortable because almost everyone else will be naked going in and out of the hot tub.
–Tea, infused water, and lemonade are offered. No coffee.
–Some fruits (mostly apples) offered
–There are sliced cucumbers to put on your eyes
–Clean and well-​maintained
I would go again, but not for a while because it is so expensive — though you’re really almost paying double — half for the massage and half for the amenities, or so it seems.

Well it feels like forever even though I’ve only been there twice in a row these past few months. She has brought my body back to life. Full body 50 min relaxation deep tissue massage is on point. I need to schedule a 80 min one next!
Spa’s cleanliness is on point too!

Burke has a lot of facilities I mean they have EVERYTHING you can think of, even a room to wait until your nails dry, u can take a nap it’s so comfy the place it’s so nice and clean I look for places that are clean and Burke I give 5 stars for the people that cleans!!!

6 TIPS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE I ENTERED FANCYLAND:
++1++ Bring a SWIMSUIT! Unless you are a-​okay walking around and bathing in your birthday suit! Unfortunately I failed the Golden Rule: Always refer to Unilocal prior to my visit. So I just wore their white towel the whole time. No biggie but it was heavy.
++2++ Only bring your Necessities! Aka cell phone, wallet, swimsuit/​change of clothes, or a good book/​earphones. BW has EVERYTHING that you need– towels, spa robe, flip flops, shampoo/​conditioner, shaving cream, hair dryer, brushes, hair products (sprays and scrunchies), hygiene (q-​tips, cotton balls), etc.
++3++ Arrive an HOUR EARLY to check in and enjoy their amenities! Must try: SPA, STEAM ROOM, SAUNA. Just sit there and let your mind wander. They also have plenty of water and lemonade! Sometimes, they walk around with light bites and fruits as well :)
++4++ If you get a FACIAL, make sure it’s the very last thing you do! I made the mistake of getting my facial and thought that I could return to enjoy the amenities. But your aesthetician will warn you that all the products (Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid) will slough off your face if you go back to the hot heat and steam *cue sad face*
++5++ PERFECT SCHEDULE if you just want massage/​facial: Arrive 1 hour prior to appointments to enjoy amenities. Go to massage for 50 minutes. Enjoy amenities afterwards for another 30 minutes — 60 minutes. Go to facial for 50 minutes. Then go home admiring your new-​found body and beautiful face. Recommended Total Time spent at BW?: 4 hours minimum.
++6++ All of their services average $ 100 — $ 150++, make sure this is a TREAT YOSELF Day! I highly recommend Yuki for your massage and Elizabeth for your facial/​skincare. They were both wonderful and very thorough with their service. Yuki is a master professional massage therapist, and Elizabeth is a very friendly, chatty, knowledgeable aesthetician. At the end of your visit, you’ll make your payments at the front desk reception. You’ll also decide how much to tip your serviceman :) 10% if they did a «meh» job, 15% for a solid job, and 20%+ for a fantastical awesome possum amazing job!

While many aspects of Burke Williams are great — the service etc, while you are a member… Four stars.
if you decide to quit the membership, it is a real hassle and they don’t give you your credits!!!

Whenever I’m in the city, I try to make it a point to come here, especially when they have specials. It’s so easy to find and conveniently located in the mall but without the noise and craziness of the mall. It’s right outside the movie theatre but you go through its double doors and everything in the outside world just stops as you step through the doors of relaxation.
I almost feel as a weight has been lifted once I walk in. I get anxious once I check in and walk myself (since I’ve been there a few times) to the ladies area to change and enjoy the facilities. If you haven’t been here before or you haven’t been here in a long while, the staff will walk you through the facilities and each area and tell you a little bit about it. If you ever need anything, the staff is more than willing to help.
There are two locker areas. Upon check in, the staff at the front assign you a locker. One locker area is larger than the other but each locker is the same size. Inside the lockers is a robe (a comfy one) and slippers. If the slippers aren’t your size you can easily exchange them for another pair in your size. It’s conveniently located between both locker areas where the lemonade dispense is placed. The wicker baskets are labeled according to the size.
Once you get dressed or undressed you are free to roam around the facilities and enjoy what they have to offer. There’s a huge Jacuzzi pool area, a steam room and a sauna. There’s a cool rain shower room too. There’s a vanity area (enough for about 8 people to get ready, fix their hair and put on makeup), showers, sinks (of course), bathrooms and all the products you may need to get ready (I really do mean everything). You just need to grab a towel and enjoy. If you get a little hungry there are fruit bowls for your convenience along with water and lemonade dispensers.
My massage therapist was so friendly. Once she found out it was my birthday she quickly offered me an enhancement. Boy was a happy camper. I received aromatherapy as an enhancement to my massage. It was so soothing and relaxing that I think I dozed off a couple of times. I definitely recommend the pure relaxation in 50 minutes or anything longer than 50 minutes to really get the experience and relaxation. I’ve had the 25 minutes and it left me wanting more. At 80 minutes, I think I was at snoozeland for awhile.
At 5 minutes prior to your appointment, head into the lobby/​waiting area where you will check in with a staff member who will take down your name so the person you came to see can find you for your appointment. The is a water station and some fruit for your enjoyment. Also, the couches and chairs are super comfy that your body kind of just melts into it. Sit in one, you will see/​feel what I mean. After you’ve been called, it’s pure bliss… you won’t ever want to leave.
I love coming here for the deals I receive on email (sign up, it’s easy and you get their deals instantly), the full use of the facilities and the great staff. It’s so clean too. The cleaning staff does a great job of picking up towels and refilling whatever needs to be refilled without really being noticed. They are like cleaning ninjas. They do an awesome job. I just wish there was something like it where I live in Sacramento.
Until then, I’ll continue to book appointments here and relish in my pure relaxation.

I left with some great products including the Eminence Phyto Facial — this is a must!

I recently was a member here @ Burke Williams for a year and a half or so and recently cancelled my membership.
The way their membership works is you pay a flat fee monthly and your fees can be attributed toward the services you book whenever you end up booking them. You can choose to pay the lowest tier which they recently raised from $ 92 to $ 102 for basically nothing but access to the member discount price or you can pay X amount more for access to the hot tub and sauna X amount of times a month.
In my mind, it made sense to get cheaper rates of I knew I was going to prioritize health and wellness for myself monthly — hence the membership.
However here were my challenges:
— Their customer service line for the most part is always super friendly and helpful. They front desk at the actual spa location is not as much
— Many times when I came in for my appts, they would assume I was a guest who had never been before. It’s an easy fix to be able to greet a member with welcome back or something of that nature when they see in the books it’s a member checking in. There was also no distinction in service… Even the smallest thing would have made a difference in making the member customer experience a bit better. Example: Instead of always choosing a locker for me, maybe you can inquire about my preference in room and or locker location. That info can be stored in my member profile for convenience.
— Multiple times I did not get the member rate and had to remind them I was a member –_​–
— The price for the SF location is at least 10%-15% more in price versus every other Burke Williams location. For no apparent reason.
— My amazing masseuse Mulan ended up leaving the company and after seeing her for a year religiously, I was left with no recommendations and no idea who to work with. I had to call the front desk to get recommendations on ppl with similar styles and confirmed high performance because of run ins with not as great technicians there before. The front desk took a tone with me as though I were ridic for inquiring about ppl similar to Mulan. There is a huge opportunity for customer retention when something like that happens. Again, it seems like customer satisfaction is not what their optimizing for.
— The place gets really crowded on the weekends with loud groups and disrupts the zen a spa is supposed to bestow. Noise isn’t controlled that well here.
To sum up: subpar amenities, loud crowds, and subpar customer service for pretty high prices. I’m happy to pay a high price for a high service but unfortunately Bwilliams does not live up to that. Expect new SF spa reviews from me soon because I am back on the market ;)

Elizabeth kum is an esthetician God! I’ve gotten a lot of facials before but Elizabeth really knows her stuff. She is so sweet and takes the time to really understand ur skin before she gets to work on it. She mixed custom masks for me based on what she was seeing I needed and talked to me about my skincare routine. Her extractions were also very gentle yet thorough. She has such a calming voice I was really able to relax– the paraffin hand dips were also a nice addition.
This facility is amazing with complimentary sauna, showers, steam rooms, nap rooms, tea, fruit, hair products, I can go on. You really feel pampered like a queen when you come here. I would recommend anyone who comes here to ask for Elizabeth for an amazing facial– u won’t regret it!

I took my Mom and sister here for their Mother’s Day treat. It was our first time experiencing Burke Williams Day Spa. I will say our experience was a pleasant one.
When you arrive you will check in at the receptionist and there was a line when we arrived. After a few minutes we were helped with excellent customer service. They were extremely helpful and knowledgable about the types of services they offered.
Location is beautiful, they have fruits, water, lemonade, towels, blow dryer, hair brush, hair spray and anything you need for pampering.

How the process works when getting a massage here:
The receptionist will check you in and provide you a key to your locker. In the locker room you will find a robe and slippers. If you arrive early you can then loiter around the jacuzzi, sauna or waiting area. You will then wait in the waiting area five minutes before your massage. Your therapist will then pick you up. I noticed they do not always pick you up on time for your appointment. Say your appointment is at 4pm I didn’t get picked up until 4:05pm and my sister and mom had to wait about five to ten minutes as well for their therapist.
My therapist was great, the massage was very relaxing with strong pressure (which was great for my nots). During your massage your robe and slippers are kept in a closet and is kept heated. After your massage your robe and slippers are nice and warm.
In conclusion I ended up signing up for a membership here.
Recommendations for Burke Williams:
Fast track for people just checking in versus those still deciding on massage or signing up for a membership. Lines can get long and the wait is a drag.
Therapist should pick up on time at the waiting area.
Validate parking especially for members. Parking across the Metreon can be really pricey. Two– three hours on the weekend can charge almost $ 20 that’s basically tip for my therapist.

First time to this spa not first time for a massage.
That being said this spa is awesome and clean and I can’t wait to go hang out there again. This spa has everything you would need from, sanitized brushes, Q tips, hair ties, face wash, makeup remover to complimentary tampons and hair straighteners to curling irons. I really enjoyed the amenities. So much so that I’m thinking of getting a mani pedi just to go back! I prefer actual nail salons for my toesies but I don’t care to come back for the massage. I’m more of a Thai massage kind of person (I enjoy the pain I receive when a little Thai lady walks on my back). ;)

I wish I can just live here! What an amazingly relaxing spa with all the amenities that a girl ever needs for a truly relaxing experience. I spent 5 hours here all by myself and it was the best «me time» I’ve ever had.
My sister gave me a gift certificate for my birthday and I took a day off work, booked a massage and a facial for a Wednesday. It was awesome because there was barely anyone there on a random weekday. I had so much privacy and enjoyed most of the amenities all to myself!
I booked a Pure Relaxation Massage with an add-​on of the Burke Williams Experience and a Spa-​Style Facial with an add-​on of Vitamin C peel and Skin Brightener treatment. I got the massage first because I don’t want to open up my pores again after my facial. Come at least 1 to two hours before your massage so you can fully enjoy their amenities such as the hot tub, steam room, sauna, cool mist room or quiet room. It’s also a great way to warm up the muscles and loosen them up before your masseuse works out the kinks in you. I really took advantage of it because its so quiet on a Wednesday. I tried all the amenities. The entire facility was clean and there were plenty of staff around to refill water, towels, fruit and clean up.
My massage was amazing. I wish I bought the 80 minute massage because 50 minutes go by really quickly! My facial was also very soothing and enjoyable. It left my skin feeling fresh, dewy, smooth and there was a noticeable difference in my skin tone as some of my sun spots lightly faded. I was pleased with my results! Everything smelled sooo good and added to the aromatic experience during both my treatments. After my facial, my skin care technician advised me to wait at least 30 minutes to let the products absorb so I went into the quiet room for a nap!
You don’t have to worry about bringing any toiletry items because Burke Williams got you covered! They’ve got q-​tips, hair ties, face wash, body wash, lotions, toners, shampoo, conditioner and all the hair styling products you need in their vanity. Just bring your make-​up, a bathing suit (optional), and a change of clothes afterwards! If you want to plan a couples treatment, its probably not a good idea if you want to be spending time together because other than the waiting/​lounge area, all the facilities are separated between men and women.
I can’t wait to come back! What an expensive addiction!
