BVOH – Finance + Accounting Search

I don’t write many reviews, but it has been a year since I started working with BVOH and it has been such a great experience that I had to share.
I moved out here from NYC without knowing a single person, or a having a job. I met with several of the staffing agencies in the area, Robert Half, CVPartners, Accountemps, Dewinters Group, Elite Network, Finance Solutions, etc.
They all did the same show and dance, «you have a great background, we don’t see a problem finding you a job. Lets make time to meet.» I then went and met with each and every one of them, leaving on the same note. We will call you, and then never hearing from them again.
BVOH was different. I met with Alea Harper and yes I will admit she gave me the same show and dance. I had a great resume, and good background and skills. The difference was that she got to really know me and asked me why I moved out here, and what was I looking for in a job. I left on the same note as the rest of them. She will call me when something came up. Within hours Alea was calling me, to let me know Bobby Simon (her co-​worker) had a great opportunity. I had a phone screening with a very well know, and very much coveted tech startup company in SF. I started working within days of landing in CA.
Alea and Bobby both followed up after my first week, to see how I was liking it, and if I was happy. They continued to stay involved and focused on a monthly basis.
I unfortunately left the startup for a perm position I found myself, and that was a mistake. I stuck it out for 5 months, and I was back on the phone with Alea.
The team over at BVOH was able to find me a long term gig at another great company in two days. Again Alea and this time Morgan (another co-​worker) followed up with me and made sure I was happy, they still follow up with me.
I am really happy and satisfied with the work Alea, Bobby, Morgan and Antoinette (office Manager) have done. I feel complete free to email them with any questions I have or concerns for that matter. They really listen and care about the candidates.

Two days ago, I called BVOH’s client and informed them that they had violated my contract and I was forced to perform a job two levels above me without any additional pay. The client, of course, blamed the whole situation on BVOH. Instead of being appalled by the client’s unethical behavior, BVOH has now set their corporate attorney on me! They can not assure I am decently paid, but have plenty of money to hire attorneys to harass their former employees!!! Please think twice about working for them.

BVOH delivered when I was in need of temp accounting opportunities. Fast and professional, no BS attitude from Bobby Simon really was appreciated. Great support staff. Thanks Alea Harper!

BVOH is great! I worked with Laun Clark and Bobby, they’re both extremely friendly and helpful. I emailed BOVH on Tuesday, set up an interview with Laun on Friday, got a temp job offer that afternoon, and started working on Monday! It doesn’t get better and quicker than that!

Although those working BVOH are very friendly I have to say their recruiters failed to keep in-​touch with me and more times than not didn’t get back to me in a timely manner when I reached out to them. Also, I didn’t like the fact that while attempting to find a job through BVOH I ALWAYS had to reach out to my recruiter about jobs; never once did they reach out to me first.
They stated that they had a number of jobs that would be a good fit but where are all of the interviews and phone screens? Finance and Accounting professionals want jobs not a sales pitch.

These guys got me my dream job. I wasn’t even looking to leave my initial place of work. I had a meeting with Nick Hansen to let him know exactly what I was looking for in a job and that I wasn’t actively searching for a new position but to keep an eye out for me. He listened to what I said and would periodically let me know if any opportunities came up which he thought I would be interested in. Two months later he got me an offer I couldn’t pass up. I couldn’t be happier with the position that I ended up with. Thanks guys.
