We are CALIBER DJs, the Bay Area’s premier wedding and special event DJ provider. With 15+ years in the business, we strive to supply you and yours with custom made, specifically tailored soundtracks for your day. We also do multiple room setups, outdoor receptions and can easily handle anything you might throw our way! In addition to weddings, we also do corporate events, holiday parties, birthday parties and more.

We offer the following…

–A custom-​tailored music program for your night based on YOUR tastes, and none of the predictable, cheesy standbys that we’ve heard all too often at traditional wedding receptions.

–No extra rental or setup fees, and travel fees only for events that are 100 miles or more away from downtown San Francisco

–At least one face-​to-​face meeting to discuss timeline & music tastes

–All equipment including multiple speaker setups & up to 4 mics (1 lapel, 1 wireless, 2 wired)

–Consultation on any other logistics

–Constant accessibility via e-​mail and text

–Seamless timing and integration with your planner and other vendors

History

Established in 2012.

Caliber DJs is an offshoot of the wildly successful Style Matters DJ collective of Chicago (feel free to search for Style Matters here on Yelp) which was originally launched in 2006 by Orchard Lounge’s Spencer Lokken, and assisted by Caliber DJs owner Nate Seider, himself a former talent buyer at the famed Chicago nightclub Smart Bar. Launched in San Francisco in 2012, our business model is simple– to provide some of the best vinyl DJs that the west coast has to offer in order to create a custom, tasteful and sophisticated soundtrack for your wedding or private/​corporate event. And when it comes to getting your guests onto the dancefloor our talents are unparalleled. Being that all of our Djs are seasoned veterans of the club industry, we know what it takes to read the room, establish the perfect vibe and create an evening of music that everyone will love, all while reflecting who you are both as individuals and as a couple.

Business Owner

A 17 year veteran behind the decks, Nate Seider’s presence on the Midwest dance scene can be described as nothing less than ubiquitous. Nate moved to Chicago from Madison, WI in 2000 to pursue a full-​time career in music and DJing. Through hundreds of club appearances across the nation and globe his profile and talents have been made known far and wide and appeared with many of todays biggest DJs during that time. In 2009 Nate was named Music Director for Chicago’s legendary Smart Bar and took the club to new heights, featuring artists such as James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, Seth Troxler, DJ? uestlove, Art Department, Laurent Garnier and many more of today’s most important underground dance music icons. He left Smartbar in August of 2013 to concentrate full time on the launch of Caliber DJs in the Bay Area and is excited to be doing what he loves to do most. In addition, his extensive background in catering and event management has given him a leg up over many other wedding DJs.
