We are known for hosting Chinese wedding banquets and baby showers. We have many years of experience in banquet preparation, and emphasis is placed on providing customers with first class food, service and ambiance. Fully equipped with professional video and audio system, and party dance floor, our restaurant can accommodate up to 300 guests in the main dining room and up to 450 persons on the second floor.

The name «Canton» is name after the City of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province in China. Guangzhou is renowned throughout China for its Dim sum, the generic name for numerous bite-​sized delicacies. i came here a coupe times with my family for dim sum and we recently came here to celebrate an event. this place is huge its two story high so if you ever need to place an event this would be the spot to go to. when we came here for dim sum it was always hella good so if you’re a dim sum person i would definitely recommend this place. it’s a great neighborhood and it’s by the freeway so it’s easy to get to if you’re out of the city. they have a huge selection on items so it’s good for those who wants to mix things up a bit from their original spot

Came here for diner on a Tues. night, the place was a little dead.
I ordered a bunch of different things dim sum style to try.
The clam in black bean sauce was excellent, nice and fresh and tasty. The giant clam (east quahogish clam, not to be confused with Mirugai) with garlic/​scallion was ok, though a little under seasoned. Adding the black bean sauce from the other clam dish definitely helped.
The roast duck was good as is the chicken feet. But the fried crab claw was a little freezer burned and gummy tasting.
All the staff were nice and friendly.
I might go back there again just because they serve dim sum so late at night.

We got takeout and I ordered the tofu and black mushroom thinking it was wood ear (it wasn’t, oh well). The portion was enormous, but I didn’t find the food very tasty. I only ate a bowl full, leaving ¾ or more of it. They don’t have brown rice or mei fun.
My friends’ food all looked good, and they enjoyed it, so I can’t rate too harshly.

The quality of food here is decent, but their price is a little too expensive for the amount of food they give you. The chicken feet were cut in half, the Siu Mai was very small compared to most dim sum places, and we ordered the abalone porridge which was sub par. The porridge itself tasted plain and the whole thing tasted like the porridge and the abalone were cooked separately and thrown together at the last minute. Service was okay, but we came in at 2:30pm and the staff were setting up a party, so it would probably be better during the normal lunch time. Overall, I would come back for the food, but skip the porridge next time.

This is by far the worst service I’ve ever had a restaurant. No water was served, no one would even come to our table, the food lacked flavor & I ordered a cup of the Hot & sour seafood wanton soup and I almost thought I chipped my tooth (several times). There was a ton of shell from one of the seafood in the soup. Plus I also ripped my pants as I sat down, since there was something sharp under the table. There are a ton of fantastic places for dinner in the city; unfortunately this was not one of them.

This place was great for lunch! We sat down and immediately started being served. I don’t really know the names of things but had a variety of dumplings (chicken, pork, soup dumpling, gyoza) all very good. The chinese broccoli, veggie egg roll, and shrimp on bell pepper (?) all good too. For the 6 of us, it ended up being $ 25 a person which more than I’ve ever spent on dim sum, but we were also going to town on food so maybe we just ordered a lot. Unsure what the individual items were priced at.

It is a very traditional Cantonese restaurant. The environment is good and the waiters are so nice. They offer various kinds of steamed dishes, rice&noodle, dessert and Chinese dishes. We ordered shrimp dumplings, shrimp rice noodle, sesame ball, turnip cake, egg custard and beef chow fun. All of them are really delicious.

Surprisingly decent dim sum. I didn’t know what to expect in terms of food quality or taste given the location.
The roast pork belly was better than expected — nice and crunch skin and not too fat.
The chicken feet, Siu Mai, char Siu so, and har gow were all pretty decent.
I would not recommend the deep fried taro though.
I would go again, but only if I had no other option to go to around the area and craved dimsum.

It’s just meh, had much better dim sum somewhere else. Also, it seems like they only had 2 people rolling the carts around even though it was noon time on a Sunday. Would I go back? Only if I’m totally dying for dim sum and can’t go too far — it’s literally around the block from my apartment.

I really enjoyed this lunch. The purpose was to catch up with a dear friend. A dim sum house is great for that because if the conversation turns south, as it can when you need to share a year of events over a single meal, a cart will show up with new options. Let’s not talk about unrequited love anymore — let’s try some Xiao long bao, super juicy served in little foil containers. When the despair of lamenting the loss of a lifelong mentor peaks, there is a distraction known as taro cake (looks and tastes like chewbacca). Other highlights include shrimp and chive dumplings, medical ethics, stuffed eggplant, difficult career choices and shrimp rolled in rice paper. A pot of green tea is good to share and to tell your fortune. The leaves are unfiltered and I’m sure at the bottom of my cup, I saw the shape of a liver. Or maybe it was a heart :)

This is a really great option if you’re downtown, craving dim-​sum, and don’t want to go through the shenanigans of Chinatown.
Above-​average dim sum, reasonably priced, BIG dining room. Everything you need.
The carts could have worked their way around slightly faster, but maybe that’s just my hangriness speaking.

Four stars for a great place to grab a quick lunch. It’s cheap, fast, and the food is pretty solid as well. The space is huge, and we’ve never had a problem getting a table, even for a dozen or so people.
The docked star is that after working hours it seems like the quality of both food and service go down. It’s still totally acceptable, but somewhat disappointing in comparison to the lunch experience. Note this only applies to the dim sum, because I’ve never ordered anything else.

Ordered here for catering and it was seamless. I sometimes come here for lunch with coworkers because it’s the closest dim sum place. While it’s not the best, I will say that they were absolutely excellent when it came to catering.
They were very flexible with the menu I wanted for my venue. I had been emailing back and forth, and eventually hopped over to their restaurant to learn more — and they sat down with me and wrote everything down, no problems. It’s much easier to get to them when it isn’t the lunch rush, though. I got there as soon as they opened so I could talk to someone and that was actually the best thing. They’re also a little quieter in the evenings after lunch, so when I called to add more pork buns to my order, they were able to accommodate me and get me pricing over the phone.
I will say this: if you bring dim sum to a dinner party, oh yes, they will come. The issue is often that dim sum isn’t available in the evenings. Canton made it so, bless them. I ordered soup dumplings, pork buns, shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and some chow mein. We’re super close to them, too, so I said I’d just walk over to pick it up. I arrived there and they even offered to walk with us and let us borrow their cart. We didn’t do that, but they were so great to offer! Also, the price was excellent. I was able to be well within my budget, and it’s such a huge thing to have the same amount of food that isn’t just pizza.
I’m probably going to order from here again in the future because it was such a great experience! Plus, I basically had no leftovers, which meant it was perfect.

The only pro of this place is that there is dim sum in SOMA and they open on weekends and serve dim sum at night.

A sit down Chinese restaurant in the middle of a ton of companies in SOMA, Canton Seafood serves the authentic greasy Chinese food needs of neighboring companies big and small. For those who don’t want to sit and eat in the dining room, they have the separate to-​go deli area that you can buy item combos a la Panda Express. For their dining room, they do have dim-​sum offered via the checklist sheet where you select what you want and how many. Obviously, if you are a dim-​sum newbie, good luck in deciding what to get because I doubt that the workers there will share their favorites or have the patience to hand hold and guide you. My tip: Google top ten dim sum dishes and there you go.
Pricing is a bit SOMA inflated but not too bad. Each person after tax and whatever tip that you leave, can be between $ 17-​$ 20. This is a steal compared to über fancy Yank Sing locations at Rincon and Montgomery. The service is passable which is what you expect in a place like this.

Surprised we were able to get a reservation for my company for 25 people (divided into 3 tables) at 12:15 on a Wednesday. I was stuck in the back table and unfortunately had to wait a little while for a cart to make it to us. My coworkers at the other tables took a few things but there were still items on the cart, so not sure why we didn’t get some carts by us initially. The place wasn’t very busy but it seemed at first they didn’t make enough of certain things such as ha gaw. They had the usual mix of meats, dumplings, chicken feet, noodle rolls, spareribs.
All in all service was fine, food was standard, not awful but just okay. What can you do when you’re in SOMA wanting dim sum though? Yank Sing is a little of a walk and Cityview is too far. Absolute Bootycall dim sum status! A generous 3.

So, this place offers dim sum for dinner and it was good. I am a fan of dim sum because they are similar to tapas. Snack food made into dinner. Anyway, came here with my bro and cousin while visiting SF. The place is fairly large and service is quick. It isn’t the cleanest restaurant, but i think it’s because a lot of the decore is outdated. Anyway, we got a variety of dim sum such as har gow, shaomai, baozi, and more… oh and vegetables, of course! The dim sum was good, but it just seemed that we were rushed to eat quickly because of the small amount of tables available. They closed off half of the restaurant. Maybe, dim sum isn’t popular at night. Oh well. The waitress was really nice. They ran out of some food, but hey, what’s left was still good.
