Charles Mader, Vanguard Properties

The owner of the property didn’t end up choosing me for the condo Charlie was showing for them. But I have to say, so far he’s the nicest and most professional realtor I’ve dealt with during my hunt for an apartment.

I do not understand the prior review regarding Mr. Mader. The expertise, skill, knowledge and kindness shown by one of the finest Bay Area Realtors, Charles W. Mader amazed me. I have followed Mr. Mader’s professional career for many years as an observer while he expertly handled the seller interests in numerous condo units within the Diamond Height Village community and was always impressed with the fine representation he exhibited throughout the selling process of these other units. I would attend various open house experiences and it was readily apparent that everything from staging to property descriptions, along with his keen ecstatic and creative eye, units were optimally presented to the perspective buyers. His marketing skills were top notch. Now, the day arrived where I needed his skillset and initiated my listing with him. Our relationship began and from day one, I instinctively knew that I was in the hands of a gentleman who was knowledgeable about every nuance, the local rules and regulations in the city of San Francisco to perfect my listing. Throughout my professional relationship with Mr. Mader, I was thoroughly impressed and in awe of his behavior in ensuring that my interests were protected throughout the entire process. He has a number of professional skills and outstanding relationships within the real estate community that ensured cooperative and noteworthy exchanges occurred with all buyer representatives. Mr. Mader consistently and would often communicate with me personally, updating me often on the current status of negotiations, document perfection and our general plan of action. He remained the consummate professional and his guidance and suggestions and assurances allowed me to feel that I was being expertly taken care of. I could go on and on about this gentleman’s customer service skills, his expertise, his very positive demeanor (it was very apparent that this man loved what he was doing and interacting with his clients and other real estate professionals) and most of all the knowledge, skill set and professionism displayed so impressed me. I would not hesitate and would definitely utilize Mr. Mader again in any future buying or selling experiences within the city of San Francisco and in Palm Springs. Job well done.

I had heard about Charles from a neigbor who used him to sell a condo in diamond heights. The neighbor was luke warm about Charles but I thought I would interview him anyway since he knows the complex.
Long story short, I ended up having legal troubles with my tenants due to Charle’s rudeness and violating their rights. I didn’t realize until it was too late, but at the same time I was not surprised because he was so persistent and aggressive with me about rushing the sale.
I fired him and went with somebody else. I should have paid more attention to his communication style. And missing two appointments when we started.
I would not recommend Charles. Even in this market where condos sell themselves.
