History

Established in 1996.

I have had a few locations over the past 15 years but no matter where I have been, my philosophy remains the same: to provide education for myself and for my clients with customized, intuitive, effective treatments in a relaxed, inspired environment. I have retailed Epicuren for over 9 years now and I chose this particular skin care line because I believe it to be effective, high quality and cutting edge.

I had dreamed of being a massage therapist since childhood. During a turning point in my life, I realized it was time to pursue my dream. In 1993, I enrolled at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, CA. One year later, I graduated and passed the National Certification. For the next few years, I honed my skills and worked in many different settings, including chiropractic offices, day spas and destination spas. In 1998, I decided to broaden my scope to include skin care. In 1999, I received my license as an esthetician and opened Charm Day Spa which I have owned and operated since then.

I’ve been a client of Andrea’s for 7 years. She gives a great massage! And I love the Epicuren facials and Epicuren product line she carries. She really knows skin care, and can do waxing of all types too.
She’s also a likable and interesting person. I love the one woman operation that is Charm!

I always have had a hard time spending money on myself for facials and skin products because I never really had a great experience or felt like it was worth it to treat myself. In the past, I have also have felt like other aestheticians always try to sell me expensive products that aren’t really worth the cost.
NOT ANDREA! Andrea never mentions her products unless I probe her. Every product I have ever bought from her has been very beneficial for my skin type and a good value. She only recommends products that I actually need and that will improve my skin.
I really trust her and walk out of her studio with the best brows (she dyes them and shapes them) and softest glowing skin ever. Not only that, she even massages you during the facial! Every time I leave, I feel like I have just had a great visit with a good friend. Go see her… you will be so happy!
Recently Andrea gave my sister and I tandem facials together when she was visiting. She went out of our way to make sure our experience was wonderful.

I moved to Texas 3 years ago and every time I come to the Bay Area, the first thing I do is make an appointment with her. Not only is she highly professional, but she is also a charming, intelligent and caring person on top of all of that. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I have been seeing Andrea for over a decade now. I wouldn’t trust my face to anyone else. She is so knowledgeable about the products she uses and is passionate about them at the same time. You wont get a hard product sale pitch from her. She tells you what works and it’s up to you. I really love that she barely leaves my side during my service. If something is on my face for five minutes or so, she will rub my hands, my arms or my neck. A trip to Andrea is always the high light of my day!
