Love this place, all of their menu is new to me as I’m not familiar with Russian dishes and pastries although the place is off the chain! I like the stroganoff a lot!!!

My favorite Russian café in the Bay Area. I love their Borscht, sweet cheese blinchiki, pelmeni, beef and cheese piroshki and kompot.

My friends keep telling me about this bakrey and how good it is. It was my first visit and I had a lot of choices in mind. I ended up getting the following:
Piroshki stuffed with potato: its delicious, I would say it was my favorite out of everything I got. It was warm and good. Its like a savory donut. Definitely trying it again with the same or different stuffing.
Bird’s milk cake: it was my least favorite. Very simple. I felt it was very creamy and sweet. The chocolate tastes a bit odd too.
Honey cake: it was okay. Not superb but not too bad too. I liked the small crunchy pieces in it. Didnt quite taste the honey.
Napoleon cake: it was one of my favorites too. Reminded me of a cake called «Mille Feuilles» with all the layers. I really liked the custard too.
It’s a really good bakery with a very fair price. After checking in for 10 times, you get free coffee. Will go again soon

Piroshki things are fun to bring to guests if they are in town because it’s an authentic Russian baked good that people usually like when they first bite into the puffiness filled with meat and cheese. Roommate won the best roommate award when he brought it back for me when I was hungover, he knew what to do haha. It is buttery and greasy but what you need in a Russian pastry to make it good right? Next time will drag myself of of bed to sit on their patio outside.

I came here because I really like piroshkis, but I was not impressed by their food. My friend and I ordered the mushroom piroshkis and the beef siberian pie. I thought the filling in the piroshki was really salty and she said the siberian pie was too dry. We also ordered the blinchiki with sweet cheese since we didn’t really like the savory foods. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be this way, but I thought it was weird that the crêpe itself was just lukewarm but the cheese was still cold. We ate it with the jam, and it tasted okay.

This is the best neighboring café /​bakery anyone can ask for. I go here probably three times a week at a minimum. I should give other spots in the area a try, but Cinderella is just so easy and good, it’s the favorite default. Their baked goods and sandwiches are amazing. The place is small, so outdoor seating is expected, so make sure to bring a coat.

Hands down my FAVORITE place to get Russian food in the Bay Area. Coming here is like eating in someone’s home — comforting, quality food and you leave stuffed. It’s a trek to get here from downtown SF for me but I’ve been here too many times to count and never been disappointed.
This place is very non-​Russian friendly (thank you!) so don’t be intimidated by the dish names — there’s english descriptions. My favorites:
Borscht — this is the traditional beet soup; it’s definitely one of the best borscht’s I’ve had. It’s served in a homey soup bowl, with a dollop of sour cream and a splash of dill. Stir it all in, and enjoy one of the most comforting soups ever!
Blinchiki — these are crepes with different kinds of filling. I like the caviar the best; always served with a generous helping of sour cream.
Pelmeni — these are Russian-​style dumplings, thicker than Asian ones. Very comforting. You can get them with or without soup — I recommend with soup: it makes the dumplings more juicy.
Honey cake — many, many soft layers of cake; moist, delectable.
Drinks: Kvas — this tastes like a combination of beer and kombucha, slightly fizzy and a little alcoholic. Try it! It’s my favorite.
Drinks: Kompot — is known as the fruit punch of Eastern Europe — except it’s fresh and sans food coloring (unlike the US), and tastes like the non-​alcoholic non-​fizzy version of Kvas to me. Yum.
Seating: It’s a small place, so there’s not a lot of seating here, but you’ll manage ok with 2 – 4 people. Lots of people who live around here grab and go. If only Cinderella were in my neighborhood… #wishfulthinking

Wow. I’m blown away. I’m so glad I listened to my friend and stumbled on over to this adorable little bakery. All of the pastries in the case looked amazing. I had the Blueberry Brioche bun with pastry cheese, blueberries and my true love salt and was not disappointed, so delicious! Also had a bagel, egg & cheese sandwich – not as epic as the pastry but tasty just the same. Latte was rich & foamy. Friendly staff, quaint location.

I’ve yet to have a negative experience with this place. The food is delicious, the staff are nice, and the outdoor seating lis simply lovely. There’s always a bit of a line, but it goes fast. Also it’s worth it.

I feel kinda conflicted about this bakery. I was first introduced to it when my Ukrainian boss brought the poppy seed rolls and piroshki to our work potlucks so I thought this place must be good because the rolls and piroshki are great and it’s endorsed by my boss.
To this day, I still don’t know much about Russian food or culture ashamedly so is this place considered good by Russian food standards? I’ve made a few trips to this bakery to get some savory pastries: fried and baked beef piroshki, some vegetarian tarts, etc. The times that I’ve gotten these pastries, I wasn’t too impressed. Maybe it’s been sitting out in the window display cases for too long. Maybe I’m not ordering the good stuff off the secret menu usually ordered by those of eastern bloc descent. Maybe I should go for the sweet baked goods instead. Maybe I’m just too used to stuffing my face with the dollar pork bun baos from neighboring Clement street Chinese joints.
Whatever the case may be, I don’t think I’ve yet given up on Cinderella bakery. It’s the place where you can tell the food is authentic and is made with love and pride and I can respect that.

Kompot & butter cookies are so good… It was probably meant to be exactly the way it is, but I had to add water to the kompot because of the amount of sugar in it. Too sweet, in my opinion, but this was my first time having kompot and it’s probably supposed to taste that way.
Favorite cookies? Raspberry jam and the checkered square ones…

If you’ve never had pel meni before, do yourself a favor and come here for a big steamy bowl with chicken broth. Dab a bit of sour cream on each dumpling and enjoy.

The point is, Cinderella does an excellent bowl of dumplings with a very tasty meat filling.

Sometimes i don’t pay attention. Cinderella bakery has been in my neighborhood longer than j have and when i moved here to the Inner Richmond, I started going to a café up the street which called café muse, who serve the worst coffee ever. (Seattle’s Best) anyway enough about them! Cinderella Bakery has everything you could imagine for breakfast pastries and a full menu for breakfast, brunch and dinner. They also sell Ritual coffee for 2.00 $ a cup!!!
My two favorites are the Blueberry Brioche and a large cup of coffee. It’s become a daily habit.
The employees are all very friendly and helpful!
I will always come here as my neighborhood coffee shop!

There are more pastries here than people. And that’s saying a lot because the crowds are always long and it’s been busy every time I’ve been here.
Flakey pastries are better than flakey people. Isn’t that a relief. You can rely on a good pastry to meet you in the middle.
The turnovers are scrumptious and service is quite quick, despite the long crowds that gather and minimal seating.

I’d say for a quality Russian food this place beats it all, but space is really limited.
However even ordering some desert, make you wanna get more real food!

Russian Food is not really my jam but this place is worth a try. I had a warm fried beef piroshki ($ 3.5) which was good. The outside had a golden brown crust. The meat was well seasoned with plenty of herbs and spices. I also had Siberian Beef pie ($ 3.75) which was a bit of redundant but the breaking was more fluffy. It was harder to eat because the ground beef fell out.
It seems like they make good coffee since there were a continuous line of caffeine seeking customers.

San Francisco: A cute sidewalk café in the Richmond area. Lots of bakery goodies, soups, and entrees. They also serve a variety of drinks, including espresso.
Very small seating area inside and several outside tables. Order your food and select your bakery goods and drinks at the counter. Pay for everything. They bag your bakery items, you find seating, then they bring you your food.

My Potato Vareniki was delicious, a platter of tender dumplings with a potato and onion filling. I did not ask but Google seems to indicate that vareniki are the Ukranian national dish. They were very good! The Breakfast Croissant was flaky and the Chicken Noodle Soup hearty. The mocha was strong.
They had a serious selection of baked goods. If I were not two states away, I would be coming here for my weekly, non-​gluten free bakery treats. Four stars for limited seating.

I’ve heard so much about Cinderella Bakery, and I finally got a chance to try it on a whim when I passed it by on the 31-​Balboa.
I was still full from lunch, so I ordered a baked egg and green onion piroshki and a blueberry brioche. I’ve had a fried piroshki once, but I have to say I prefer it baked. The bread reminded me of baked pork buns, and the egg and green onion was delicious.
The blueberry brioche looks small, but is actually quite filling! I appreciated that the brioche wasn’t too sweet since it had a lot of blueberries. My two orders, I felt, were exemplary of their savory options and sweet baked goods.
I will definitely come back to try an entrée soon!
