I love love love love this groomer. I didn’t have any issues with my last groomer at all — they were great, but had to make a change when a scheduling conflict came up. It was a blessing in disguise because Jason is the truth. Incredibly polite and caring with my pet, and even though Murdock isn’t the most… happy pet to be groomed — he waltzes out of City Paws happy as a clam.

My Yorkie was squeezed in for a last minute Sunday appt. He emerged from the the salon with the most beautiful cut he’s ever gotten. He looks like a pimp, yo. I will never take him anywhere else.
Jason was amazing with my mongrel of a Yorkie. His hair is trimmed perfectly around his ears, legs, butt, and all of it blends perfectly. The puppy cut, never done better. He also gave me great advice on puppy care and training. Hands down, a gem of a find. Go. You must go. Jason won’t disappoint.

Jason, Jason, Jason. The dog whisperer for real. He makes Cesar Milan look like Cruella de Vil. Seriously the best experience I have ever had involving our neurotic, barky 14 year old pit bull boxer. Angel, is no Angel. She’s difficult, old and can be a little intimidating. Jason got right down to business, clipped her nails, gave us excellent advice and our Muffin of a dog found her human soul mate. I don’t think she even wanted to come home with us. It was amazing to see. Jason has a way with animals AND people, he is truly amazing. Oh… and his grooming skills are unmatched. I’m still in awe! Thank you, Jason!

What a spectacular find! We were just walking by one Saturday and noticed a new pet groomer on Sutter and Larkin. It just had the name and phone number. We took down the phone number and are very happy we had done so. When we first called Jason, he was an absolute pleasure on the phone. He was not only friendly, but also very personable and interested in our puppy. He scheduled a time for us after work around 5:30 pm, which was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our first appointment, but we called the following weekend. I left a message and Jason called back the following day and scheduled another appointment for us that day. We dropped our puppy off with complete trust in Jason. He was welcoming and took great interest in our puppy. He told us it would be about an hour and he was almost right on the nose. We returned a little early and watched from outside the shop. We could see how gentle he was with our puppy and how soothing his presence must have been for her. He did a spectacular job, walked us through what he had done, and how she had behaved. He told us a little bit about how he got started and engaged us in conversation. Our business was more than just another appointment to him. He took great care not only in our puppy, but also ourselves, which was very much appreciated. I’ve been waiting for the day a good dog groomer made their way out to the ‘Loin! & I’m so happy Jason did! I walked past his place when it was «under construction» not really sure when it would open but excited of the possibility. So when I was searching for a dog groomer for my precious dog, Mamba I decided to give this place a go. & I’m SO glad I did!
Jason is wonderful, he gave me a same day appointment and it was AFTER work hours. I’ve always had to bring Mamba to her hair appointments on weekends because most groomers close so early. Not Jason though, he was super flexible and I brought her in at 5:30pm on Monday. He was thoughtful and took my requests seriously (Mamba’s past groomers always cut off more than I want).
I went on my way to Trader Joe’s to pick up groceries, walked back home to drop them off, and came back ~1.5 hour later to see if Mamba was ready. When I walked in Jason was blasting some fun dance music and still carefully grooming my dog. She looked so happy and not at all sad/​lonely/​miserable like other places I’ve been to. Afterwards she smelled SO GOOD and was looking beautiful, ready to strut her stuff and show the world!
Prices are good, even cheaper than the usual place I go. This will be my new go to groomer! Highly recommend!

This place was great! I was able to get an appointment for the very next day. He took great care of our little one. she smelt and felt amazing after and he actually sent us cute photos of her first grooming experience.
