City Pups SF

City Pups is great! My pup wants nothing more than to run around and play with other dogs and that’s what she gets. I never have to worry about working late because she has gotten totally blown out in McLaren Park every afternoon. Mandy is consistent and enthusiastic and you can tell she really cares about the dogs in her care. The pics on Facebook are great too. Totally happy!

City Pups SF came highly recommended to me, and they have been fantastic, I couldn’t be happier!
They have been taking my beloved Beau on walks for about a year now and I can tell he loves it. Mandy and Raquel have both taken Beau out on walks and they both provide feedback when appropriate and have got to love that they post pictures on FB so you can see your pup at play and not miss out completely. DO yourself and your furry friend a favor and have them go out on walks with City Pups SF.

City Pups SF is the best!!! My dog, Bruiser, has the best time every Monday & Wednesday with his group of buddies!!! He comes home very tired and very very happy. He loves Raquel and even stayed at her house when I was out of town. He had such a good time I don’t think he even realized I was gone!

Josh, Mandy and Raquel have taken very good care of our furry daughter. She always has a great and safe time and comes home very happy. City Pups is a top notch outfit and we wholeheartedly recommend them for any dog care needs. They even offer super reasonable boarding rates. We get awesome action pics of our girl as well. I love CityPups! George has been walking with them for a few months now and it’s worked out so great! Raquel is our walker and she is fantastic! I love that they post pictures everyday on Facebook. George always looks happy and I get reports on how he is doing. I highly recommend CityPups SF if your dog needs exercise, company or just out of the house!

What can I say? We are so extremely elated that we found City Pups SF! Raquel has been taking care of our Vida girl for several months and we couldn’t be happier with the exceptional care and convenience of this service. Raquel cared for our pup for several days while we went on a trip, and it was so nice to know she was in such loving hands — Vida loves Raquel. I also appreciate how she takes the time to post pictures and videos of their day. We are beyond thrilled with the professionalism and care that is so evident with Josh and his team. We highly recommend them if you are looking for an excellent team to care for your dog!

SF City Pups and Mandy are amazing! We joined the pack two months ago and haven’t looked back. Mandy has been walking my high energy 7-​month old puppy 3x each week. For over an hour each day, my pup Zoe gets to run around with her puppy friends and get schooled by Mandy. Seriously, Mandy has been so key to helping us reinforce good behavior at home and with other dogs. Most dog walkers I’ve seen are not actively involved in training, but definitely not the case with Mandy. It was super easy to get our first walk scheduled and ever since then, communication has been seamless. I feel at ease knowing the team is always reliable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SF City Pups.

Our pup was a last-​minute rehome in May 2015, so we didn’t get a lot of time to figure out dog walking and training arrangements. Luckily, CPSF had a spot for our 5-​month mini goldendoodle, and it’s been a perfect fit ever since! Mandy, Josh, and Raquel are an amazing and trustworthy team. They’ve helped us get through our puppy’s teenage phase (including a bunch of humping, even after getting neutered), and they take great care to make sure they group their dogs by temperament so that they get along well and learn good social habits (something our pup is still getting the hang of, ha!). Unlike some other walkers I’ve observed in the parks in Mission Bay and Rincon Hill, the CPSF team is attentive, making sure your pup gets some training reinforcement, too. Our dog is incredibly comfortable and calm when in a car now, and his recall is almost 100% solid (well, for a puppy — sometimes he needs to be reminded that we’ve got treats!). We know that’s in a large part thanks to Mandy and Raquel’s sit-​stay practice! The photos and videos on Facebook and Instagram are also a huge bonus. We didn’t realize how quickly our puppy would grow up in six months, and some of our favorite (and really, only!) photos are those that Mandy and Raquel took. :)

Really can’t recommend their service enough. Mandy has been walking our pup for a month now and she takes wonderful care of her: our dog gets so excited to see her. She takes great pictures and videos and posts them to Facebook so we can see all our dog’s exploits. Mandy was did a fantastic job dog sitting our dog while we were on vacation and was kind enough to send us periodic pictures of our dog.
Highly recommended. Super nice people and do a great job with the dogs.

Josh and team are amazing. They’ve helped our dog become better on-​leash and socialized. She waits by the door every day, and couldn’t be more excited to see them. I couldn’t recommend these guys more. I have so much trust in them, and Bean loves them! Probably more than her parents! ;)

Josh & Raquel are awesome. Not only are they incredibly nice people, but they are responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. Oh, and my dog LOVES Raquel… like so much. I can’t recommend these guys enough – they’re they dog walking team you’re looking for!

When our previous walker decided she could no longer service the area we live in a few months ago, my husband and I were in a scramble to find another good dog walker. We were so lucky to have found CityPupsSF had an opening in the afternoon to take our 3 year old Taiwanese pup, Zoey. When we met Raquel, she knew instantly that Zoey would be a good fit with the afternoon group and which dogs she’d play well with. It was refreshing knowing Raquel knew her play group so well and took into account the personalities and playing styles of the other dogs. It’s been a great match for Zoey… we love how much she is able to run around and play when she’s out. Zoey is always exhausted when we get home from work —- an exhausted pup is a happy pup (and owner). Josh and Raquel are always very responsive on e-​mail or text with any adjustments we have had to make in Zoey’s schedule. And another plus… we love that we can see pictures of what Zoey and her friends are up to on Facebook and Instagram!!! Thanks so much!

Josh and Raquel are an awesome dog walking team! Our dog Margot is with Raquel five days a week and comes home exhausted and happy every day. Raquel loves and cares for Margot and all the other dogs in her pack as if they were her own and Margot is excited to see her every morning upon pick up.
Both Josh and Raquel are very responsive via email and text and always very helpful with schedules/​closures due to inclement weather or holidays.

We have had a wonderful experience with Raquel walking Oliver (7yr old Vizsla) for the last few months. Our pup was exhausted when we got home every day and he really loved his time at Fort Funston! Thank you for making Oliver’s afternoons exciting and exhausting :)

I am SO happy I found Josh when I moved to SF couple months ago! Josh takes my dog, Milo, on group walks 5 days a week. It’s more like hikes/​adventures and Milo ends up spending the entire morning with Josh! And he posts a lot of photos on City Pups SF Facebook page — check it out.
What I love most about Josh is that he takes the time to help Milo with his recall and general social skills whenever he gets a chance on these walks. Everyone at the dog park comments on how well socialized Milo is and Josh gets a lot of the credit for it! And while I like to think Milo is special :), you’ll notice from his other reviews, Josh gives this type of extra attention to all his dogs!
Most dog walkers will tell you all the things your dog needs correcting and while I totally appreciate it, Josh will tell you all the things he is working to correct with your dog. And Josh has offered to show me how to handle Milo in highly distracting environments (a big challenge for us!). We’re meeting tomorrow — can’t wait!
Seriously…it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made about the care of my dog!

Josh is amazing! Our doggy, cece, is regularly out of the house for what seems like 4 hours each day with josh. He picks her up around 10:30 or so and sometimes she’s not back until 3:30! What a long play date! She LOVES playing in his group. She comes home totally exhausted and has several best friends there. Then she is such a little angel because all of her energy is gone. The best part is that josh posts pics on Facebook almost everyday so you can check out all the fun stuff your dog has been doing during the day, AND they are really good pics! I don’t know how he takes such good pictures, it’s awesome. THANK YOU JOSH!

Josh is GREAT with my dog. He’s incredibly reliable and he knows how to work with dogs that have unique needs. My dog had some behavioral issues and we went through a lot of training to correct them so I am very careful with who I trust with Nash (I don’t want his bad habits returning). With Josh, my dog has built up his confidence and has been practicing great manners.
Josh also posts some great pictures of the dogs on Instagram… It makes my day when I get to see the pups playing around! I highly highly highly recommend Josh.

Our German Shepherd puppy Jake graduated from the puppy daycare at SF Puppy Prep, and we were anxious about finding a walker who could reinforce his training, be attentive to his individual needs, and continue to socialize him adequately.
At the recommendation of SF Puppy Prep, we contacted Josh at City Pups SF, and he came over to meet Jake and us. Jake started going with Josh a few days later, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for him.
Josh is extremely communicative, texting us reports of the day, posting (really excellent) photos of the dogs playing. Jake really loves him, and we couldn’t be happier with City Pups SF.

Josh is amazing! When we moved into the city, our pup had been going to doggy daycare since she was a couple months old and loved it. But we knew we could find her something more adventurous. We found Josh and he’s been taking her to ft funston 4 days a week.
You can tell how much josh loves the dogs just by seeing his interactions with them. Our pup loves him and goes right along with him every morning. He’s been working with her on various issues and she’s a much more well adjusted pup because of it. Every once in a while he’ll mention he’s working with her on something, without any promoting from us!
If my husband isn’t home when he drops our pup off, Josh’ll text me saying when she’s home and how she did that day. And if you weren’t sure how much your dog loves the beach, he posts pics on Facebook and Instagram for you to enjoy at while work.
It’s now clear that my dog has a much better life than I do. I guess I’m ok with that :-P

WE LOVE JOSH!
Our dog Jimmy has been going to Fort Funston with Josh five days a week for almost two years. Our newest rescue, Tillie, has been going three days a week for about 3 months. We are so pleased with everything. Jimmy is a very energetic guy and Josh is literally a life saver. Josh not only gives the pups good exercise but trains them to have perfect recall, share their toys and exercise very good social skills. When we take Jimmy to the dog park on the weekends people always ask how we got such a hyper dog to be such a good listener and my answer is always «Josh» (I admit sometimes I want to take credit). Josh also boards the dogs when we are out of town and it is such a relief to have such a trustworthy person watching our dogs. It makes the vacation that much better.
