City Stamp and Sign has done a couple of projects for me over the years. Excellent quality, turn around, advice and reasonable pricing. Will use them again.

City Stamp + Sign did a great job on the stamps I had made for a business card (front and back). The turnaround time was very quick and the end product came out great. I would highly recommend if you need to make a custom stamp.
Pro-​tip: just email
rather than using their online tool. It’s a lot easier that way.

I had a stamp made here and everything was fine, but be aware: DO NOT use their online tool.
If you go to their website you’ll see a «design custom stamp» sign. That thing is awful! It stretched my design. I had to write them and call them. They were very responsive and took care of it, so it was a hassle but in the end I have no complains.

I found City Stamp + Sign when I needed a logo stamp for my company. It was made quickly and the quality was perfect. I’ve since gone back for personal stamps (wedding stuff etc.) and have always been very happy with the results and friendliness of the team.

I’ve been looking for invisible inks for over a year and it’s always an adventure trying to acquire them for my work. Sometimes the adventure turns into frustration as no one seems to carry them anymore. Even other art supply stores that use to carry them discontinued them without rhyme or reason.
So as a Unilocaler, I decided to use the search function and use Unilocal as the vehicle instead of Google or Bing. A couple of places popped up, but this one stood out the most since it was located fairly close from where I work and also based on other Unilocalers’ reviews.
I called and made an inquiry and the lady on the other line was very courteous, professional and helpful. Yes, they carried invisible inks, but they only had a few bottles left so I placed a couple on hold. I grabbed a taxi and immediately went there and the lady that I spoke to over the phone had them waiting for me. They definitely saved the day as I needed these inks ASAP.
A couple of weeks later as I was filling out my expense report, I couldn’t find the original receipt so I quickly made a call and the same lady that helped said she could easily send me a copy via email. Sure enough within a few minutes, she sent me the copy and I completed my expense report.
This is how a business should be run. They have great staff, reasonable prices and they carry hard-​to-​find items.
They have definitely earned my return business and I have even recommended them to my colleagues.

I worked with Tiffany to get several stamps made for a demo we were doing. She went above and beyond and was able to get proofs to me quickly, and get these produced the next day. The stamps look perfect and I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Was referred by a client of mine who just did a banner that looked awesome. I went and met with Karen and her team since I needed new signage, banners stamps for my logo/​trademark revamp campaign.

I worked with Tiffany and Karen, and they were great to work with. Since this was my first time working with them, I was a tad bit worry about the quality. The stamps and the embosser were going to be used for my wedding invitations so I wanted to be perfect as possible.
I changed the design after I submitted the artwork and they were kind enough to make changes for no charge and they are very responsive with questions and concerns. It took about a week to get all the items. They contacted me after a few days submitting the artwork and told me the quality of the stamps were poor so they were going to try one more time to make another stamps for me. I used very thin and small fonts so I knew it was going to be tricky. As it turns out, I worried for nothing! The stamps came out amazing and the invitation look awesome thanks to them.
They are very flexible to work with and their craftsmanship is a top notch. I’d definitely use their service for future projects.

Had such a great experience and super fast service! The store is clean and well cared for with samples of stamp, ink pads and other merchandise. The process was seamless. I came in with a pdf of my logo on a thumb drive (I called the day before to see what format I should bring), they put it on their computer and I chose a stamp size. I was out of there in 10 minutes. (You can also email it to them if you can’t come in).
They said it would take 2 – 3 business days, but luckily the stamp was ready the next day! I went to pick it up and again, I was in and out in a few minutes. About $ 33 for a 2×2″ stamp. It turned out great, so professional looking! I’ve been stamping away since I got home. I’m using it to stamp tags for my clothing and art. (I have an Etsy business and am also selling at the Urban Air Market in SF).
Great, fast service at reasonable prices. The gentleman who helped me was very sweet and friendly. I’ll definitely be back anytime I need personalized stamps or signs. Thanks a bunch!

I’ve been working with these guys for over a year and a half. No complaints. Everyone is really friendly! They produce whatever nonsense my company requires if we have the right specs, and have courier’s run over orders when they’re ready.
Sometimes we order 400 stamps at once, and they can deliver in 5 business days.
Cannot recommend City Stamp + Sign enough!

I’m reading some funky reviews on here which is sad, but the couple times I’ve submitted custom files for City Stamp + Sign they’ve been fulfilled accurately and VERY quickly. I don’t know if this is a place you can walk into and get a bunch of design advice from but if you know what you want it’s the place for you. They are the only place I know of that takes custom files for stamps.

They produced an excellent quality custom stamp and have terrific service — a great small business in San Francisco!

Needed one non-​self-​inking stamp made quickly and cheaply. These guys were quietly recommended by an employee of another stamp company. I was not disappointed! They had my custom stamp made in a day for under $ 20. Sweet. Everyone with whom I dealt was very nice as well. I deducted one star because I never got any sort of confirmation from them. I thought my order hadn’t gone through, but when I called to follow up my stamp had been completed. Would be nice to get some sort of response when you send in your design. Other than that, no complaints!

I was sold a stamp that was not the same line spacing as the proof I approved. The font type and size was correct, but the line spacing had been added to when the stamp was made making the stamp longer than the proof. See picture — this stamp was to go on a postcard, so the full cm difference made it not fit. The owner admitted to me (only after measuring) that the proof and the stamp are different sizes. The company would not refund $ or remake the stamp. After I called my bank with the issue they flagged the transaction as fraud because the «product received was not the product promised.» This issue is now in the hands of the BBB, Better Business Bureau, to receive the refund I deserve for the stamp they did not make correctly.

I bought my father in law a model of his plane for his birthday and needed a place to engrave my witty «Stay Fly» dedication onto the wooden base, and do it quickly. Stamp + Sign was rose to the challenge when I came to them on recommendation from nearby APS who did not have the quick turnaround.
After entering their store (across the street from Temple nightclub) I was immediately greeted by their dog, but unfortunately she could not help me out and called her master — who offered to make me a brass plaque to stick onto the wooden base. This seemed like a great idea to me, so she took the measurements and told me it would be ready within 3 days.
Here’s where Stamp+Sign gets one star off — when I came by to pick up my plaque at the agreed upon time it was not ready as apparently the engraver lost my paperwork. I would ordinarily take two stars off for this, especially as they did not call me beforehand, but the lady who helped me out was genuinely sorry and actually remembered what I wanted the plaque to say.
The plaque was ready the following day and looked great. I will definitely use Stamp+Sign for other projects, but will call ahead to make sure my order is ready for pickup. I’ll also bring their pooch a treat.

I have ordered multiple self inking stamps in a range of styles and sizes here and I have never had a problem with turnaround or receiving proofs. I am not sure what Allie P. means by saying they no longer offer proofs. I recently received a proof faxed to my office of a new stamp I had ordered.
They do have odd hours, but I have not had any difficulty in getting in touch with them. I generally pick up my stamps since I live in the area and relish the excuse to ride my motorcycle instead of sitting at the office. They have a nice dog in the office. I will certainly use City Stamp + Sign again.

I found City Stamp & Sign online 4 years ago when I needed some custom stamps made for my wedding invitations and ceremony programs. I email them Illustrator EPS files that are sized and ready to go, tell them what I want, they call me for a credit card number, their prices are reasonable (including what they charge for shipping), two days later I get my stamps in the mail. I’ve had stamps made for many of friends’ weddings now over the past couple years. I just had two more made, I had trouble reaching them on the phone to give them my credit card number so I thought that would slow down my order… not at all, they sent the order into production anyway! I got my stamps yesterday and they look great. I love City Stamp & Sign.

For some reason I inherited this faux Southern gene from my father that causes us to want to monogram everything and love fried chicken, when really, we both seemed to miss our actual Lithuanian genes that would make us eat pickled pigs feet and be raging anti-​Semitics (okay, so he does eat the pickled pigs feet on occasion).
I mention this because I take great joy in the idea of a custom rubber stamp being created just for me, and me alone. How often do I stamp stuff? Not a lot… but my new fantastic custom tiger stamp courtesy of City Stamp + Sign just might change that.
Some time ago I had tried to get a custom stamp made of one of my business’ logos using some place that I had found online. It turned out to be such a back and forth hassle (them telling me that my 300 dpi logos were not 300 dpi, so on and so forth), that I just lost interest and gave up.
While at Paper Source buying materials for my holiday cards, one of the salespeople suggested that I could have a custom stamp made at City Stamp. She gave me their information, and I e-​mailed them my logo and desired stamp size. Given my previous experience, I was not overly optimistic about my artwork ever blossoming into a stamp.
Since I had sent them my logo late at night, I called the next day (Friday) to make sure that the artwork would work for them. The man who answered the phone assured me that it would, and that my stamp would be ready in 1 – 2 business days for a mere $ 39 (for a large-​ish custom stamp, I was relatively overjoyed at the price).
Sure enough, on Monday I got a call from City Stamp telling me that my stamp was ready. Lucky girl that I am, City Stamp happens to be located across the street from the bf’s workplace, although apparently they can also mail you your stamp. I am now the proud owner of a custom stamp of my tiger logo, which did a fabulous job of creating some personalized holiday cards.
I don’t doubt that I will be getting future stamps made (with my MONOGRAM, perhaps?), and I will absolutely use City Stamp for the price and ease of service (not to mention not rejecting my artwork even once, let alone umpteen times).
