Locally sourced products include repurposed mango, teak bowls, and marble coasters and serving boards from Berkeley based Be Home, also locally made elizabethW essential oil beauty and bath products.

Cliché Noe Gifts + Home is proud to announce their acceptance as an official SF Made retailer. Specialty note cards are created by lithograph and letterpress, and printed on-​site.

History

Established in 2011.

Family background and how we got our name:

The Meyer Family has owned the building on 24^th street since 1894. The very first car, The Pioneer was built here by J.A. Meyer in 1896, surviving then pressed into service during the 1906 earthquake, becoming a part of Bay Area history. Subsequent Meyer family operated an automotive repair and emergency service business through 1945. Not long after WW2 in a room very near to where the pioneer was built, J.A.‘s grandson Robert H. Meyer, established a printing business. Using many of his grandfather’s tools and parts, he built and maintained his printing equipment and the business until his retirement in 1998 at the age of 82. It is in this spirit that today Fred Meyer, Robert’s son, a retired San Francisco Fire Lieutenant and his wife Dani, use the word Cliché as a nod to the mechanical entrepreneurs in the family.

Our combined idea for our store is to provide a high level of service with quality brands in a shopping experience that is unique.

Business Owner

Dani Sheehan-​Meyer, formerly of West Sonoma County and Fred Meyer, San Francisco native and retired SF Fire Dept., have been operating Cliché Noe for over four years. Dani, a former media & marketing executive, is active in the Noe Valley Merchant & Professionals Association, and serves on the San Francisco Council District Merchants Association as secretary. Our goal is to provide an uniquely San Franciscan shopping experience by carrying locally sourced gifts and merchandise when we can. Our business-​marketing plan includes community support and providing a host venue for artists and writers of all types of creative outlet. We also act as ambassador to Noe Valley and are members of SF Travel, host to visitors from around the world.
