Coco’s Crawfish One Year Anniversary UYE

Let just say what a night! I have sucked enough heads and eating enough shellfish for awhile. As usual the SBC does not disappointed and we all came with our tummies to help celebrate Coco’s Anniversary.
I want to thank Tetsu for driving us ladies up to San Fran. Thanks for putting up with my singing in the car. Only way I can deal with traffic.

What an awesome time to be had by all.
Great dinner at Coco’s and great chillin at Durty Nelly’s afterwards.
As always, it was awesome to see all the regular UYE’ers, and awesome to meet new folks too.
I expected the long commute with killer traffic to be a real drag, but with DJ Fro in the house, we had music from across multiple genres and generations (my bad y’all). There’s a lot more to say about the ride up, but Donna, Katrina, remember… what happens in the jeep STAYS in the jeep, mkay?
Props to Coco and Manda Bear! You guys know how to throw down! What a blast… And thanks to Mr. I-​practically-​work-​here-​Ron, Mr. I’m-Ron’s-assistant-Bobby, and Mr. I’m-just-hangin-Alvin too for keeping everything hopping all night.
As for the curry fries at Durty Nelly’s…What happen to my two orders of fries?! I ordered those for tres-cool-Angelo-&-Andrew, pick-​me-​up-​Chum, Crash-​and-​burn-​but-​still-​riding-​Euge, Ms. Hotness-​herself-​Catherine, Tinna & the rest of the cool-​SF-​Yelpers, And of course, the Bartster and his bro Chris, but… Did the fries even arrive? Congrats Euge, btw, that was some rock you got. Didn’t know, woulda got you sumtin… Want some curry fries?
For those of you saving the havana cigarillos, don’t. Cigarillos dry out fast, and don’t recover as well as regular cigars, so don’t be stingy and save’em, just smoke’em, k?
And for the free flowing alcohol… Alls I gotta say is… I kept my pants on… I think… Didn’t I? Or did I?

What would cause car loads of SBC to venture up north?
A gathering on a scale not generally seen outside of the South Bay?
I bet you are even wondering whether there was a pandemic, an undeniable call, or yet another drunken night of crazy?
Yes, yes, and yes… @ SF’s one and only Coco’s Crawfish!
Thank you ‘Manda for hosting a gathering of like minds and kindred souls that share an affinity for the finer culinary arts that only you could offer. Imagine if you will… the stage is set with cajun goodness, bottles of fermentation, and an overall great time held by all regulars, new comers, and die hards involved — the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood, and the CPC (Central Perk Crew). Always a pleasure to see the clans and to rekindle the flame against mediocrity with the SF and EB conspirators.
I would like to take this moment and apologize for my actions that do not reflect the owners intentions — for example if I may have made it appear as if I worked there and did something inappropriate like get you hennessy from across the street… On the flip side I would like to say you’re welcome if I did something completely appreciated and reciprocated for — for example doing something like getting you hennessy from across the street… But I digress and can only say that never could I say «no» to ‘Manda Bear… or a wink and a smile. After all she pays me with multiple 1 ounce shots of goodness.
It was great meeting all the new Unilocalers, and the people who just happen to have gotten sucked into the moment. I hope you all had as a fantastic time as I did. And remember, this is something you should come to expect from your friendly local neighborhood SBC!

I have been holding off on my 100^th review for something special. So since I would have an extremely difficult time chosing an establishment I chose to review my first UYE.
First off I feel bad for coming so late and missing dinner at Coco’s I was really looking forward to eating it but then maybe it was for the best shellfish and alcohol just doesnt sound like a good idea. SO I arrived late and had carpooled with Robert X. We decided to set up in Durtty Nellys across the street since we were late. However, I went across the street at the recommendation of Mr. Robert to say hi to all the Unilocalers. Tetsu was my first LOL followed by many others and awesome Ron for giving me four vodka shots in about two minutes. First of all I have to say that I never felt uncomfortable, everyone was so nice and cool for lack of a better word. I felt welcome and that is always a good thing. SO for all of you who are apprehensive about coming out because you don’t know anyone… don’t be because the SBC takes care of everyone like a friend.
So Durrty Nellys was awesome and full of a lot of drunken fun. Highlight had to be JM’s oral show on the curry fries… Yes if you were there you know what I mean. If you weren’t there, take a gander at my photos and you’ll see.
Finally meeting everyone was great cant wait to do it again!!(well again again since we had the cupcake queen vicky t’s bd

An evening of full on Crawfish, Shrimp, Sausage, Corn, and did I mention BOOZE… maybe that slipped my mind:)
It was great seeing my SBC and few new SF Unilocalers enjoying the evening in true Unilocal fashion. I claimed my spot and ordered my severals lbs of crawfish, and shrimp. None of that sissy mild stuff either, give me the spicy kind, 20 pieces of sausage, along with several shots from Manda :)
After sucking a few Crawfish heads, and devouring all the sausages, the spice kicked in. It was a welcomed change, I started to sweat and realized I needed a drink. Then I saw Noelle who looked a little tipsy, so I asked her to sit down and eat something, and of course she allergic to shellfish. so I popped over to Durty Nelly’s and picked up a Bleu-​cheese burger and fries, plus I got myself some curry fries :)
A short while later I found myself walking with Noelle to Tuttimelon and tried a sample of the original froyo. I’m not much of a froyo fan so I left it up to the experts.
Most of the evening went like this:
Vijay: Noelle are you okay?
Noelle: Nope.
Vijay: Walter P are you okay?
Walter P: Gives Vijay that stoned look and hands him a crawfish.
Vijay: JMC are you okay?
JMC: WTF… Hell Yea let me drink Bitch!
Overall it was a fun filled short evening for me, but I got a chance to see my SBC crew.
