Mr. Phipps has a holistic approach to design. He believes that his firm has an opportunity and a responsibility to make a difference in the community. To this end he has gathered a group of diverse, intelligent professionals with varying strengths and talents to round out his team of architects. It is essential to him that DPA works in close association with the clients and all other project team members to respond carefully to the project needs, neighborhood context, site conditions and budget. He is adept at developing the overall design concept and maintaining its’ clarity through the thoughtful conception of the vocabulary of architectural details. Strong features that set his work apart are his refined details and rich, subtle palette of materials and colors.
