Danielle Boucher is a licensed acupuncturist in California, and nationally certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She studied acupuncture at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she received her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Danielle currently practices acupuncture at City Pulse Acupuncture in the Mission neighborhood. Danielle’s additional clinical experience includes shifts at the ACTCM Community Clinic and The Auricular Clinic. She completed an advanced study program in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University in China.

Danielle was drawn to Chinese Medicine because of its holistic approach and ability to see the interconnectedness of an individual’s symptoms. She is a general practitioner with a special interest in pain management, women’s health and hormone balance, immune system support and oncology, and digestive disorders.

I’ve been receiving acupuncture treatments from Danielle since she first began her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, so it’s no surprise to me that’s she’s become such a well-​respected practitioner. I’m a self-​proclaimed needlephobe, and I can confidently say that if you struggle with the idea of receiving acupuncture, Danielle is your gal! Her needling style is gentle yet extremely effective. Danielle helped me trough various health complaints during my time as a stressed out student. Beyond her skillful needling and herbal knowledge, her friendly, inviting demeanor is a breath of fresh air. It’s always a pleasure, Danielle!

Danielle is very knowledgeable, kind and professional. My wife has been trying to get me to see an acupuncturist for years, but I kept putting it off. I finally went in to see Danielle, and I am so grateful. She has helped me with pain in my back and sleep issues. I started going to Danielle after my first couple rounds of chemo for stage 2 breast cancer. I had never done acupuncture before and now I can’t imagine my life without it. I would go twice a week, every week and it was my favorite part of the day. I attribute my work with Danielle to be the reason I was able to tolerate chemo so well and continue to work through all my treatments. She helped so much with fatigue, digestion issues and all the other fun stuff that comes along with chemo. If only there was a needle point to stop the hair loss :)
Now that I’m cancer free, I still go to Danielle once a week for general well being and these appointments are still a highlight of my week. If you’re thinking of trying acupuncture, do not hesitate. Danielle is as good as it gets!

Danielle is amazing. She helped me significantly reduce the noticeable affect of irregular heartbeat (stress related heart palpitations, in the form of PVC or premature ventricular contraction). I run a fast growing, stressful company and have tried everything to get rid of the PVC: yoga 3x/​week, no caffeine (at all), no alcohol, plenty of sleep, meditation, etc. I’ve had these symptoms for nearly 4 years. It only took about 3 months of weekly treatments to see a significant reduction of symptoms, and there are many weeks now where I don’t notice it at all for days at a time. Thanks Danielle, you rock!

I was having debilitating stiffness and pain in my neck so I made a same day appointment at City Pulse with Danielle. Lucky me. Danielle a consummate pro who takes a full account of your medical history before recommending any treatments. After two comprehensive treatments that included needles and cupping I felt like a new man. I’ll definitely be back whenever my finicky neck and back act up

I promised a follow-​up on my initial review and it’s taken me 5 months to follow-​up. Hint, I’ve been seeing Danielle and only missed sessions when I’m on vacation or traveling for work. My weeks without Acupunture therapy suck.
She managed to do what 1 doctor and 2 physical therapists and 3 ergonomics specialists couldn’t: manage my carpal tunnel syndrome. Along the way she’s helped with back pain and IT band issues. On one occasion I mentioned that my BP was a little high that week. She did her thing and I had a 20 point drop in my blood pressure (something my mess had t managed) after 1 session and it’s been maintainable. So yeah, this science-​y geek guy who works in pharma is now a big fan of alternative medicine. Ms. Danielle, you’re awesome!

I had been struggling with a lot of mind/​body issues over the past few years, and the work I’ve done with Danielle over the past 3 months has absolutely changed me for the better and helped immeasurably. I was a bit wary at first, because I had never tried acupuncture before and didn’t know many people who had, but I spoke to Danielle about my concerns and she helped assuage them and walk me through the process.
I felt INCREDIBLE after our first session, and since then my focus and mental clarity have strengthened and my moods and emotions are more manageable and calm. She’s given me a major peace of mind, and our acupuncture sessions help realign my body and mind based on what I’m going through. Danielle listens acutely to what problems I’m having and walks me through the process, so I feel completely enfranchised throughout and aware of what’s going on.
