I’ve been getting massage for years. It is my all-​time favorite form of self-​care. I move around a lot, though, and that combined with my now very picky judgement resulted in quite a few disappointments when I got to SF.
Sure, the massages were fine, but that’s about all I could say. And for something that’s not an insignificant expense, these three-​star experiences were demoted to a one-​star for the guilt that followed after having spent so much money on something so deeply mediocre. (Has that ever happened to you?)
Then I found Debbie. I don’t know how to explain her massage except to say that she has a gift. The quality of her massage is like none other that I’ve experienced. It’s deeply intuitive, different every time, and truly transformative.
Debbie finds and works out all the stuck energy. It’s not just a «nice» rub. It’s profoundly therapeutic. I believe we carry our issues in our tissues, and that Debbie’s work has had a meaningful impact for me well beyond the physical.
The first time I saw Debbie, she worked on my lower back for a very long time; I didn’t even know I had flexible tissue there, and I’d never really been massaged there before. WOW. My lower back was sore in a good way for about a day after that, and I’ve felt more aligned, even lighter, ever since. I now see Debbie on a regular basis had have recommended her to everyone I know.
If you’re serious about massage and don’t want to waste $ 100 on a mediocre rub-​down, definitely see Debbie. You won’t be the same.
PS: I found Debbie because she used to work at a spa in SF and just about all the reviews for that spa were about Debbie — and they were phenomenal across the board. So one thing I want to mention here is that, on this listing you only see two other reviews right now, but Debbie has dozens just like this; they’re just not on this page since she’s now out on her own.

I originally bought a massage for my girlfriend but due to conflict in schedule, I decided to attend.
I was seeing a physical therapist twice a week for a back problem (L5 disc was having issues, created radiculopathy /​sciatica). Debbie quickly identified problem areas, worked on them and made them feel better. After seeing her five times, the pain was 100% gone.
I now continue to see her for her signature work as now I simply enjoy the massage and consider it a «tune up». She is a miracle worker.
