Specialties

We are a group specialty practice. Our prosthodontist specializes in full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, crowns and bridges, implant crowns, dentures, TMJ dysfunction, and grinding and snoring devices. Our general dentist performs fillings, crowns, cleanings, teeth whitening, and regular check ups. Our periodiodontist performs bone grafting, implant placement and other gum surgeries. Our endodontist performs root canals. We are one of the only dental practices with our own in-​house laboratory, with technicians on-​site for denture repairs and relines. The lab takes in work for other dentists.

History

Established in 1983.

After a post-​graduate program in Prosthodontics, Dr. Missirlian started his speciality practice in San Francisco while teaching at the University of the Pacific. Drs. Abdulian, Ebeid and O’Shea came on staff as general dentist, endodontist and periodontist, rounding off the group. By having a fully staffed, in-​house laboratory, crowns and dentures are made on site meeting Dr. Missirlian’s demanding standards. Additionally, implants are placed according to his design. The practice is defined by quality and expertise.

I’ve been going to Donald and Martha Missirlian for years. They are the best. The office is not flashy but they have their own on-​site lab. If you need periodontal work, they bring in the very best doctor in the bay area who is a periodontal specialist. I always know that I’m going to get top-​notch work done on my teeth and visiting their office for me is like visiting old friends. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

This firm is a blessing. Dr. Donald and Dr. Martha are exceptional doctors not only for their expertise and credentials, but also because they genuinely care for their patients. Simply put, I love this firm. They set the bar, and I have never experienced such exceptional patient care in my life until I met Dr. Donald and Dr. Martha.

If you are looking for a full service dental office (implants, crowns, bridges, cleanings, etc.) and not a cut-​rate dental place (the TV ad you will see for new teeth the same day), I cannot recommend Don Missirlian. He is centrally located in the city (a block off of Union Square), and he is the only dental office in the city that has his own on-​site lab that can make adjustments on the fly while you are sitting in the chair to make sure that your teeth look perfect.
The lobby décor is beautiful with plenty of seating, and they have a full staff of assistants, technicians, and an assortment of doctors available to handle just about all of your dental needs.
Their work is top notch and they take the utmost pride in their own work, and they even have clients who come from overseas to get work done over there.
Give them a try today, you won’t be disappointed!

I have never been so thoroughly examined by a dentist. Dr. Missirlian and his wife Martha are really great. Sandra, who answers the phone is friendly and sweet!
I went in because I thought I had a cavity (which I did, just not in the spot I originally thought). It ended up that I had some serieously inflamed gums due to some sort of mineral deposits that appear between teeth. So, I my mouth had to be numbed, just to do a cleaning. While Martha was in there, she was doing some surface work to prevent a full blown cavity and found I had a rather nasty one that didn’t show it’s ugly face on my x-​rays. I was in the chair for four hours. Everyone was really nice the entire time. She always made sure to insist that if I was in any pain to stop her.
I’m not a fan of the dentist, but at least with this crew, I’m willing to go back.
