Watch repairman (I guess his name is Frank) was very nice and knowledgeable. He didn’t have the part I needed but promptly referred me to another watch repair place in the same building. Highly recommend.

Mr. Suess repaired my 50 year old Omega. Great job. Looks and works like new.

Love this little hideaway! My beloved Baume & Mercier stopped working and I looked up watch repair near my office in the FiDi. Read reviews of Frank on Unilocal and they were all completely accurate! He assessed my dead battery in mere moments and changed it while I waited. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes. Very reasonable, fast and what a darling man! Five stars for sure. (I brought my checkbook — thanks Unilocalers!)

Frank replaced a few watch batteries for me and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I didn’t realize I needed cash so I offered to leave the watches while I ran to the bank, but he said there was no need for me to leave the watches, just to come back when I could with the payment. It’s service like that that will make me come back. His pricing is reasonable and he was quick. No need to go to a big store when you can support a local business like this one.

Came in with 3 watches, all different brands, and one that had three batteries. He replaced them all within 10 minutes while I sat and waited. It was a welcomed breath from the busy world.

Other than the inconvenience of a cash-​only policy, this place is absolutely perfect. The owner is _​deeply_​knowledgeable of all types of watches, is equipped to do the overwhelming majority of maintenance and repairs, and works both quickly and inexpensively. Feels like a throwback to a time when local shopkeepers knew their trade and cared about their customers.

I’ve brought a few watches in here for battery replacement over the years, and recently brought two watches in for a full servicing. Can’t say enough good things about this place. The customer service is excellent — Frank has been unfailingly friendly and helpful every time I’ve come in. He also definitely doesn’t try to up-​sell. I don’t really know anything about watches, and there have been several occasions where I’ve asked him about getting something serviced and he’s guided me away from doing so on the basis that it wasn’t really necessary. I really appreciate this given all the businesses I’ve encountered (looking at you, car mechanics) who constantly try to hook you with unnecessary repairs/​service. Great business, and I’ll definitely be going back and recommended them to anyone I know who needs watch repair, advice, etc.

I’ve been coming here for the last four years to have watch batteries replaced. Frank always completes it while I wait and it only takes a couple of minutes. He’s super nice and has reasonable prices.

ROCK ON weird little watch repair place inside an office building. You quickly replaced my Tag battery for a reasonable price while I waited. I even forgive you for not being open the week after New Years when I schlepped the 15 blocks to get my new battery.
You didn’t even try to sell me a new link for my watch that all the expensive places say I need to get replaced… they said it 10 years ago — and «look» it still has not broken.

Frank is extremely knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. His rates are extremely low for the quality of the work you get. He changes watch batteries faster than anyone!

came in to get a battery replaced but didn’t realize he only takes cash. I owed him $ 15 but only had $ 13 and he told me I could give him the $ 2 when I was in the neighborhood again. thank you so much! he’s a really nice guy.
he’s been in the building since 1972! «long before you were born» he said, heh. it’s a bit of a trek for me to come here but he’s so sweet I think it’s well worth the trip.

Came in here to get a new battery for a watch I bought 10 years ago. In and out in about 5 minutes including adding a link to the bracelet.

Frank was an absolute pleasure to deal with. It’s a bit difficult to find at first, but man, the service was great. I was in and out, getting a spring recoiled in my Hamilton Watch in 10 minutes flat. Thanks, Frank!

Another long overdue review I’ve been meaning to write.
I treated my watch as if it was waterproof, when it was clearly not. Showered with it, swam with it, washed my hands with it, you name it. I hate taking off jewelry and cannot be held responsible.
Well when I went to Hawaii, the saltwater got in and completely destroyed my watch. Water was stuck in the face, rust had covered the hands, and the inside was equally obliterated. I showed it to my boyfriend and he had zero faith that it could be restored. I just wanted my watch to work because my parents had got it when they married. Talk about «oops» and regret.
I took it to Frank to at least get an opinion. He was… surprised, but surprised ME even more when he said he could most likely fix it. I told him I was completely open to changing out all the parts, so long as it worked and looked about the same as it did before. I asked him the cost — only $ 250 for something I thought would be impossible! It might be a high price to some, but this was a vintage Dior and it would have cost at least 10 times as much to buy a new one.
It did take about a month because Frank was on vacation, but I was in no rush. I picked it up, and it was beautiful. Almost no sign of rust was evident on the original watch face and it looked as polished as ever. He switched out all the gears, the battery, glass, arms, and tightened the loose screws on the band.
This man is a watch god. Don’t even try making a decision. Just go here.
