Other reviewers have commented on the difficulties of donating.True. But the office staff are a bit of a problem, too! Inflexible. Unfriendly. You want what!?! I knew a young woman who applied to work in the san francisco office. She had experience with poverty in san francisco. She had worked her way up and out of poverty. She was rejected in favor of a corporate young woman with great experience –from Japan. The young womanI know does not know I am writing this! But everyone else should know.

I used to do huge clothing drives in NYC for Dress for Success. They were a pleasure to work with, and do GREAT work. The SF chapter does not make it easy to donate. The website is confusing and the hours limited. I have dozens of pieces of new and nearly-new interview-wear and the next donation time is a two hour window over three weeks away. Five stars for their work. One star for their donation process.

Dear Work Gods, Thank you for the job. (That doesn’t require me to wear suits.) Thank you for Dress for Success. (Where women who need a suit can be provided with a selection of to choose from.) Thank you for a painless donation drop off process. (That would be EVENBETTER if donations were accepted more than a couple times a month. Just sayin’…) XO Amy C.

Words cannot express my gratitude to dress for success for helping me out with clothes right now. I had an appointment early this month. I went in and a sweet young lady with a smiling face even helped me find something that looked good for an interview. Well i got the job and dress for success even called to see if i needed some more clothes until i get paid. Thank you so much. You have no idea the amound of stress you all have saved me. And thank you for having nice people volunteering there. I am just so grateful i don’t know what to say

it is very unfortunate you only take clothing very infrequently. We are moving out of the country and I have many slacks and tops from banana republic I would like to donate to your great cause. Unfortunately they will be going to Goodwill.
