DVD Copycat

They do pretty good CDs for a fair price. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that one order we placed, half the CDs were blank. My band at the time was back east playing music/​selling CDs at our shows. When we got back, several people emailed us wanting their money back or a new CD shipped out. DVD Copycat reprinted the CDs, but it was a hassle having to ship out new CDs to folks, and of course, pay for postage (which DVD C-​cat didn’t offer to reimburse.) Still, I would use them again if I needed anything dubbed.

3 thumbs up! They’ve duplicated DVDs of a film I made, and I’m about to get some CDs duplicated. They’re a pleasure to work with, great prices (the best in town), quick turnaround, and perfect work. Brian is so easy to work with.

Brian was incredibly helpful getting me custom flash drives. Because of the nature of my work, the process of ordering the flash drives took a very long time. Brian was incredibly patient, prompt, and reliable. He got us several different proofs and quotes, and ended up beating the competition with a great price. He was also very transparent — he made it very clear what we were ordering and what other price points were available. Finally, he got the order to us even sooner than expected, despite unfavorable conditions. He was also very patient with out payment process, which took longer than expected as well. I’ll definitely work with him again.

I searched and called all over the Bay Area for good deals on DVD replication/​duplication. The people who I talked to over the phone were just rude, until I called Jess at DVD Copycat. Jess is hands down a customer first person. When I called her, she treated me like I was her first and only customer. She took great care and gave me the most awesome prices on DVD duplication. The other guy who works with Jess is just as awesome. The quality of my replicated DVDs were perfect and well done. The graphics they put on the DVDs were on point also. They had my DVDs ready to go in less than 5 days, and that’s just the regular service. If you need express service, Jess will work with that too, and still hook you up. I love this place, love the people and love their work. Awesome people get awesome reviews. I won’t go no where else, as long as Jess is still there…

Needless to say, it was my first DVD and I was quite overwhelmed with all the details involved: cover art, format for replication, packaging choices … So much work these days is done without the «hand holding» of old. Nothing replaces a human being you can talk to and who responds with care. Jess at Copycat rocks in that department! I sat down with her and explained to her my deadline, where things were at in the project, and asked her where do I go from here? What I loved was I candidly asked her «O.K. what can the cheaper big companies do this for?» We looked up their prices together and I realized Copycat was more expensive but definitely competitive; and the COMFORT level of working with them was totally worth that price, no doubt! The other «cheaper» companies felt like they would be done solely over the internet. There was no pressure in the sale at all. The project was done exactly on time and looks great, and when I arrived at Copycat to pick up my 1,000 DVDs, Theo was already loading my boxes to take down to my car. Copcat was a very satsifying final step to a year and a half project.

I had a rush order that had to be done by a specific date, and it turned out that the design I gave Jess didn’t match their template. Jess did a lot of extra work to make the design fit, and then worked hard to usher the project through to make sure that the CD’s were ready on time, because she knew the deadline was important to me. The CD’s look great, and I really appreciate everything that she did for me. I’ll definitely use them again!

I’ve been using DVD Copycat for a few years now and have continually been impressed by their awesome customer service and high-​quality product. The main thing I love is that once I’ve handed over the disc and artwork, things will go smoothly and according to time projections every time. Their prices are some of the best out there and to get friendly personal service on top of that– what more can you ask for!

I picked up my DVDs today and I was very pleased with the end product. This didn’t come as a surprise because working with this company from the beginning to end of the process has been wonderful. Please don’t get me wrong, it is not a long or difficult process, the people at this company make it easy. I worked with Jess and she was terrific. She was quick to answer my questions, informative and very professional. Like most people, I had a deadline that I needed to meet. Jess was aware of it and called me the minute my order was done, which helped me stay ahead of my deadline which I very much appreciated.
I’m in charge of ordering DVDs for another event next year. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll use DVDCOPYCAT again.

I only posted on Unilocal after speaking to Brian personally on the phone and sending him an email follow up again trying to understand what the problem was. He never responded.
First, our last order with DVD Copycat was in June of 2011 for 100 CDs. If we were such a problem client, common sense suggests he would have communicated this or tried to resolve it after that order was completed and paid for. He didn’t. We were not contacted ever at all about any problem on any level with our orders. Not once. We were not told to find another vendor ever.
Second, in August when I went back to DVD CopyCat for a reorder, we were not told by the salesperson that we she could not take or fill my our order due to problems in the past. Common sense suggests, we would have been told this at that time. We were not.
The salesperson took my re order until she came back and said she didn’t have the DVD cases in stock we needed and didn’t have the authority to order them. When I spoke to Brian just a few weeks ago to re order another CD set, and he said he didn’t want our business any longer, and couldn’t clearly say why, I angrily said to him, it was us who should be letting him go, because of what happened last summer while he was on vacation and couldn’t fulfill an order. He had no knowledge of this having happened. I guess his employees never told him.
Last, what I stated is factually true. What Brian states is the usual unsubstantiated personal attacks of someone defensive and trying to divert the conversation from their own actions.
We were not a problem client. We paid our bills on time. We provided all the artwork. We picked up our orders on time. We reordered products. I would love to have more clients like that!
We have had relationships with the same duplicating and printing vendors going back into the mid 1990s.
And, Brian also states that he sent back all our artwork and masters many months ago because he no longer wanted our business. I have no record of this and can not find those items anywhere in our office, I have no email stating this was being done. I honestly wonder if Brian does not have us confused with another business.

Excellent DVD replication quality! DVD Copycat also printed the graphic onto my DVD with superb graphic quality. Also very very competitive pricing. They also have a 2 day turn around option. Superb.

I’m often amazed how some of the people with whom we’ve done business can actually remain in business. Customer service and simple follow through seem to be so lacking these days. Copycat is the exception. We just did our first instructional DVD and I’m so glad we chose Copycat. Brian & Stella really helped me out; actually walked me through the process. Despite all of the service they gave me, they were still the least expensive of the three quotes I got. They also completed the project in less time than they quoted. Great service and Stella is so nice; extremely pleasant to work with. My videographer, Maximize Video, also 5 stars recommended these guys.
