They moved to a bigger location at Stonestown behind Macy’s, near the cinema! Beautiful and fresh trees! I love them!

The location has moved, but they are still in business! They are now behind Macy’s at the Stonestown Mall in a much larger space. I bought a terrific tree there yesterday, and got great service. They pulled out about 20 trees for me to look as they were pretty much just setting up. New location is very spacious.

We drove here today(1pm on a Sunday 10÷11÷15) and nothing is here. Just an empty lot.

I have been going to Emerald Forest for YEARS!!! I have always come home with a Christmas tree I was happy with! Had help from the staff picking one out and loading it on to the car! If asked last year about my experience with Emerald Forest, I would give it 5 stars! Flash forward to today, Sunday, December 14, 2014! NOONE to help you search for your tree. The trees I found were DRY, branches bare on the bottoms. Completely subpar! When I asked a worker to open up a tree for me, he did, then proceeded to tell me how all the trees are BARE on the bottom! NOWAY, I’ve been picking out trees before he was born… We left very disappointed, as this has been our go to place for for YEARS! Fortunately, my husband checked his phone for Christmas trees in the area… Unilocal helped us find the FRESHEST Christmas tree we’ve had in years. Green, fresh, no dry bottoms… Another review for a MUCH better/fresher/helpful Christmas tree lot is found in my small review section… check it out. I will not return to Emerald Forest! I’m sorry about that, as it is close to my home and the staff has always been helpful and the tree selection good. Not this year!!! I’ve found another place that’s further from my home, but worth it!

Best Trees and Service! I am very impressed with the quality of the trees, very fresh… smells like the forest in my home! Great service, this will now be the ONLY place I ever buy my tree! Kudos to a great operation!

Took my niece here before for their pumpkin patch & it was too cute! Photo ops at every turn! Usually we buy our Christmas trees at a Home Depot or a Lowes but since we moved to the city, we don’t have one near by. Came here the day after Thanksgiving. Not sure if it’s the same people who run the pumpkin patch but it wasn’t as festive(maybe they haven’t finished decorating?). They also do tree flocking and have tall(rather bare looking if I do say so myself) 10 – 15 footers. Made a round, checked out the various trees, unwrapped a 7 – 8′ Noble Fir and found us a winner. Paid $ 78 for the tree + $ 3 for netting(didn’t need a base since we have one at home) & we were on our way. Needless to say, I love with my Christmas tree!

Last year emerald forest never again. $ 120 later and the tree would not even stand up. See photo.

I love this pumpkin patch. Big and fun. The staff allowed my dog, Anjie and was very accommodating and patient as we explored and snapped pictures. The main lady in charge even volunteered to photograph my dog while I got Anjie to look.

My review is based on the Great Pumpkin Patch. While this location on 19th Avenue is prime, I am not a fan for a host of reasons. My daughter’s class went to the pumpkin patch on a school field trip and the site was ridiculously crowded with children(probably 150 kids or so). It was difficult for the children to move around. It was loud. It was completely unsafe. There were kids running wild over the hay bales knocking other kids over. The bouncy house was overcrowded, which we all know is unsafe. The kiddie train cost a whopping $ 4 for a 20 second ride. While all of these«extras» are fun for kids, they really obliterate the reason for going to a pumpkin patch: the pumpkins! The kids could have cared less about the(overpriced) pumpkins. I emailed this business with my concerns for safety. And guess what? I did NOT even receive a reply. Really? Is that good business? Perhaps that means the Great Pumpkin Patch is guilty of operating an unsafe environment. Perhaps they don’t even care. I will not support this business ever in the future… pumpkins or Christmas trees. There are many other places I would spend my time and money.

I’ve been going to this place for years, since we moved into this neighborhood. I see the same faces year after year, and they recognize me and my family and take great care of use every time we show up. We’ve gone to bigger tree lots around SF over the years but have never found trees as reasonably priced or as full.

What a disappointment! I picked out a tree, paid for it and left it to be flocked. I was told it would be ready Sunday. I got there Sunday — not only could they not find my tree — they said they had run out of blue flocking so that’s why it was not done. Not done! The tree could not be found. There was no offer to hustle up and get one done — no offer of any help at all. Just a sorry — this does not normally happen. Since this was a surprise for my 8 year old granddaughter whose heart’s desire was a blue tree — it was a major disappointment. Not only that they had my phone number — if it truly was a problem — they could have called. Never again!

Yes, they have good trees, however, if you go to buy one pay CLOSE attention to the price they charge you. I didn’t until I got home and realized they over charged me $ 25 on my tree from the price posted at the lot. Also, I paid for delivery was told 6 – 9PM and got a call at 7 saying the truck broke down and they couldn’t deliver. Said they would deliver today, but I can’t get anyone on the phone to confirm that is actually happening. So as far as I am concerned, I over paid for a tree that I haven’t gotten. My suggestion, go somewhere else.

I suppose that the bulk of their annual sales hinges upon selling pumpkins and freshly-cut trees for xmas. Not exactly a scene from Charlie Brown’s Halloween Special, but it came close with a horde of kids running around trying which pumpkin was better than the other. I kept thinking about pumpkin curry at some Thai restaurant. Pardon my random musings…

Just came here a couple of days ago to pick out a pumpkin for carving. A ton of pumpkins lying around of all shapes and sizes, you’ll definitely find one you’ll like. A great place to take kids and they have all the carving supplies there. The pumpkins are reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly.

I hate to be a Scrooge for this business, but $ 40 for a 3& ½ foot Christmas Tree that doesn’t have a fragrance is a bit much in my book. For that amount of money one can get a 6 foot Noble(smells wonderful) at Lucky’s in the Fairmont Shopping Center in Pacifica. The parking here is very limited.

It’s 8:53pm & still waiting for our 5−9pm delivery! No call, message, anything about being late… errrrrghhhh. After a vm & em, finally had call answered by ‘Juliette’ who said the guy was running behind, maybe as much as an hour!!! Re-booked for tomorrow from 2−5pm, will repost if our $ 160 tree is still green when, and if, it arrives, …Update…the two young men who delivered the tree did not call until 4:50 p. m…saying they were ten minutes away, and then didn’t arrive for 40 minutes. Their explanation was that a truck broke down, some staff quit, etc., & they were doing the best they could. As I told the owner who called later, it’s not that we don’t understand issues that come up, but CALLTHECUSTOMERSEARLY and explain! We paid a delivery fee that was not refunded. The tree was fine, the guys were nice, but that’s the last of the Emerald Forest for us.

We just got our tree on Dec 21, we always get it late so it stays fresh through New Years. The tree is soooooo beautiful and full, we just love it. We’ve gotten our trees here for the four years we’ve been in San Francisco, and there’s no reason to consider anywhere else for us. They have a good selection, prices are competitive, and they deliver the tree at a reasonable price. The staff is also super friendly and helpful.

Somehow, we managed to pay $ 10 less for the same size tree than last year. Thanks, Emerald Forest, for making Christmas more affordable in these tough economic times. Plus, the 1:1 scale Pine Tree Car Freshener rules, gives our 15 yr. old bitchin’ Saturn wagon«new car smell.»

I scored on some recession 2008 bargins today. I was able to buy a fresh noble fir tree for $ 33.00. I love the smell of a fresh pine tree. Emerald Forest tends to have the freshest just cut trees. They also sell other holiday accouterments such as mistletoe, holly, and wreaths. Buyers can also purchase tree stands and have the tree flocked on site. This business is family owned and with the location the trees sell fast. Happy Holidays.
