I started doing private tutoring in the fall of 2015. Prior to that I was a high school English teacher for four years.

Meet the Business Owner

Adam H.

Business Owner

My name is Adam Hicks and I’m a former high school English teacher and baseball coach. Although I now work full-​time in the athletic communications industry, I enjoy keeping a foot in the education world by offering my knowledge and experience as a classroom educator through one-​on-​one tutoring. I’ve taught all ages of high school students; first at Central High School in Phoenix, Ariz. and most recently at Miramonte High School in Orinda, Calif.

I graduated with my B.A. in English from Saint Mary’s College (Moraga, Calif.) in 2006 before going on to earn my M.Ed. in Secondary Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University in 2008.

Aside from my experience in the classroom, I played baseball my whole life and was fortunate enough to play four years at the collegiate level. While my playing days are done, I now enjoy coaching and providing individual lessons to players of all ages and abilities.
