The service was amazing. They have this new kid working there he has this amazing customer service that definitely had me going again and he made me this BBB smoothie
It was so good i have him a 10 dollar tip
And the sandwich i had was delicious i will go more often

Sandwiches are decent, when they get the order right. The two girls making the sandwiches looked like temps and seemed to have trouble making our order. Of course our fear came true when we got our takeout back to our hotel room. One of the sandwiches was just wrong. But more upsetting was that when I called back they did not seem to care. No thanks. I care as much about taking care of the customers concern as the product itself. The proprietor should feel the same. No love here.

Good quality sandwiches that are reasonably priced compared to other spots in the area. Also have some tasty smoothies.

The Green Green (artichoke spread, dijon vinaigrette, avo, green veggies) is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had but this place is the SLOWEST place I’ve ever been. Even when it’s not busy they work so slowly it’s painful. Not the place to go if you’re in a hurry. The help isn’t as friendly as it used to be and when you walk in and they’re making sandwiches no one might acknowledge you until they finished whatever they’re doing, which is strange. They’ve often added things to my sandwich on accident, forgot to put something in, or totally forgot to make my order. But I just love the sandwich so much I keep going back: x

The sandwiches here are really fresh and delicious. They’re simple, not overdone like some others, and were filling. We pre-​ordered through Unilocal for pick-​up which was really easy. Nice that it allowed us to pay once we got there. The service was mediocre as they weren’t really friendly, kind of tossing my food at me, grabbing my money, and turning away to talk, but it was such a brief interaction so could have been a fluke.

SF needs more non-​bougie health food places. That’s where Estela’s comes in.
When I went the two girls working there seemed like they were about 14 which was kind of weird. I got a wheat grass shot and a sandwich and they were both very good. Glad this place has a few locations, will definitely be coming back.

This is my go-​to spot for fresh squeezed juice and healthy delicious salads! I highly recommend this place for a quick nutritious lunch, especially after a long night.
$ 5.75 for a large juice, I get the 7C’s and it tastes great. The really nice cashier recommended it when I had a cold. You can also build your own, with orange, carrot, apple, ginger, beet and fennel.
I also get the Pear Salad that comes with goat cheese, walnuts, red onion, and honey mustard vinaigrette dressing. I skip the bread and add on bacon.
Overall, I’m a regular and this place doesn’t disappoint. You can call ahead to place your order as it can take 15 mins if there’s a long line.

I came here on a Wednesday when Fresh Brew Coffee across the street was closed, and boy was it a disappointment. At first glance, the sandwich looked promising: the croissant was more attractive than the competition across the street, though it was over-​toasted and burnt in some parts — whatever, I was willing to forgive that mistake. But the real problem was the eggs… I have never had such disgusting eggs in my life! They were scrambled and blue in several parts. How does that even happen??! I’m familiar with the bluish tint between the yolk and the white of a hard boiled egg, but it was the first time I’d ever seen it in scrambled eggs! Moreover, the eggs were way overcooked and dry — amongst the worst I’ve ever had. Additionally the bacon was not crispy. Overall, at $ 5.50 (50 cents pricier than Fresh Brew Coffee), all the components of the breakfast sandwich were executed worse at Estela’s. I don’t plan on returning.

The sandwiches are great, truly. I had a turkey sandwich with avocado, which was messy but very tasty. I would gladly order it again if I were ever going to go back.
Why am I not going back? Because I made the mistake of ordering a fresh juice as well, and let’s just say today I am 3 lbs lighter. I know it was not the sandwich because my husband ate half of it and he suffered no ill symptoms. But hey, here’s a positive — if you’re looking for a juice cleanse, this place will fix you right up!

Great sandwiches! Little place but the sandwich was awesome. Knocked off a star only because it is 2 girls in there so if it’s busy you will probably wait 30 minutes for your order BUT it was worth it. I had the Turkey Love and it had some many good, fresh ingredients on it! 100% recommend this if you are in the area.

Estela has LARGE ass sandwiches. Half of it would make an okay meal on its own (unless you’re starving). I thought the sandwich itself was overrated. I got the veggie one with the sun-​dried tomato spread (sandwich #33, I believe?).
Verdict: I like subway better.
Estela’s sandwich costed me $ 11, which is a lot. The subway sandwich is at least somewhat unique because of its sweet onion sauce. Estela has… fresh ingredients, I guess?
I’d only come back if I’m craving an avocado sandwich. But if you’re looking for something unique, and more affordable, I’d go to subway.

Just started working up the street and heard great things about this place. Love the menu and actually really liked the sandwich I got.
Had a funny experience though. Ordered the Avalon which was described to have roast beef and turkey. Got it and saw a HUGE slab of turkey and literally could not see any Roast beef. The counter person helped dig out the thin slice of roast beef there. She asked me if I wanted more and I said sure. She took the sandwich back for about five minutes and it returned with MAYBE one more fine layer of roast beef, still very hard to see against the HUGE slab of Turkey. Seemed like the Roast beef was kind of a gimmick. Didn’t really get what happened there.
In any case, the sandwich really was delicious so what to do. Just wonder why Roast beef was included and why it took five minutes to add almost nothing to my sandwich. So yah, mixed experience. I’ll try another one next time and imagine I will up this to four stars.

Not glamorous but great for a quick lunch! We came here after a run because it was down the street from our hotel and it hit the spot. The sandwiches are huge! We got the green green and the matrix and both were packed with ingredients and had sauces /​dressings that really brought out their flavor. They have tons of options of sandwiches and a few salads. The smoothies were very good too. We got the mango and the BBB berry, which was very sweet. The bathroom was pretty dirty as were some of the tables bit fast service and serves its purpose.

I really love coming here, I frequent Estela’s because its right near my job. Alot of coworkers come here for breakfast and lunch. I love the fresh ingredients and good selection. The juices are freshly squeezed and are very reasonable in price. I know that sometimes the service is slow, making it hard to come here all the time for my 30 minute lunches but because I’ve become a regular I know all the great girls that work in here I usually have no issue. You can always call ahead as well!
All in all, I’d definitely recommend it here. (My boss comes everyday now)

Fresh and delicious! Friendly service, plenty of seating, open space and fast!

Cute little sandwich shop with sidewalk seating and open windows. A bit on the pricey side for simplistic (though wholesome) sandwiches, $ 9-​$ 10, and they come without any sides. It’s a very tiny space, so I can imagine a bustling crowd during the meal hours, and with little standing space and only 1 person behind the counter taking orders and making all the sandwiches/​salads by hand, it can get cramped, noisy, and be a long wait if you’re just looking to grab-​and-​go.
Nonetheless, the ingredients are all very fresh, lean, and tasty. Sandwiches are thick with your main selection, along with a variety of fresh veggies. Staff person was friendly and accommodating. Overall, a pleasant find on Unilocal

I get it, the sandwiches are freshly made and the place is cute; it also helps that this is one of the few places around the area where you can eat healthy and grab n go.
But let me be clear that the service here is SLOW. As a New Yorker, I expect things to be done super duper fast, but even throwing the New Yorker thing aside, Estela’s took 30 minutes to make two smoothies. In that same span of time, they made 5 sandwiches and 1 juice.
I don’t know about you, but definitely don’t sign me up for OK smoothie if I have to wait 30 grueling minutes watching slowness at work.

I initially really liked this place, because they had good fruit smoothies. But the slow service, subpar food and incomplete menu just ruined it for me.
Today I went in at 11:30 am and ordered a smoothie and bagel. I was told they ran out of bagels. Ok, I get it, it’s past breakfast so I understood. I proceeded to look at the menu and finally decided on their soup & sandwich combo. When I tried to order it, the lady worker told me she didn’t make soup. What the heck? Why is it on the menu if it’s not available. At least put a sign up notifying customers what’s not available that day.
The one positive thing is they seem to have fresh ingredients. The Greek sandwich I ordered had tons of fresh veggies, which I liked. But overall, it was just ok. The side salad that came with it was overly dressed and too acidic.
I won’t be going back to this place anytime soon.

Man, this place is tiny. They’ve got a great deal of healthier options at decent prices, but they aren’t mind blowing and you’ll wait a while for it.
Probably the cheapest fresh juice you can find — $ 5 for green juice etc… compared to ⁹⁄₁₀ bucks everywhere else.

It’s 1:30, time is tight, and I’m starving. I’ve been eating swill all week and I’m looking to get some produce in my life ASAP. But I’m in San Francisco. A salad sans sourdough will not suffice.
Naturally, I combined my love of avocado with my love of sourdough. The Smoked Gouda, creamy avocado, lettuce, tomato, no red onions (please, I was in town for business), carrots, cucbumber, pea sprouts, mayo, & dijon on a sourdough baguette.
Tasty, fresh, and reasonably cheap.
Pro tip: dudes (or ladies) with beards, watch out. This thing is a mess.
