I dropped off my Porsche 911 for repair, and while there was an issue with the repair, the entire staff was very responsive and went above and beyond to get the issue sorted and do even more. They did a very good job with the repair and getting my car to back to like-​new. Appreciate all their help.

Mercedes Benz recommended European Collision Center to me and I’ve now used them twice for minor repairs. Both times they were able to fix my car quite quickly and for a reasonable cost (the second time for free). If I ever really have any major damage to my car I definitely know where I’ll be going to get it fixed.

Came to European Collision Center due to the positive reviews. Despite them having my car for 4 weeks, I still had to waste several hours of my time just to get the car into good shape. Multiple phone calls, emails, text messages, visits. Unacceptable. Widely overrated. This shop will NOT take care of you and your car.

Exterior:
Looked great from afar. Up close, the trunk lid was misaligned. The corner where the fender and bumper meets was off. The door had to be adjusted. Not a huge deal, but not something you want to spend additional time on. If there was nothing else, that level of work would be 4 stars from me.
Interior:
Chemical spill on the driver’s seat, large chunk of leather was damaged. Droplets and smudges of paint (or primer?) in multiple places, and the technicians put floor mats on top of the spots. Handprints and smudges all over the headliner. Greasy handprints on the seat. Overspray on the gas cap. Missing other interior bits. ¼ tank of the gas in the tank missing, and yet there was a fairly obvious rattle coming from the back (a panel wasn’t fastened).
Overall experience:
Manager? Owner? did not own up to the mistakes of his shop. Neither did the rep I worked with. Even at the end, when they cut me a check to have my car detailed elsewhere, the owner dropped it on the counter in front of me with little more than a sideways glance.

I would totally recommend them for Bmw body repairs. I worked with Sergio and he was fantastic. He is very attentive and accommodative. Most importantly their work is top notch!

too lazy to write these things. but wanted to recommend Sergio here because he was so helpful to me when I had to bring my car in for a service that actually ended up not getting service here m, only due to the decision of my insurance due to the value of my car blah blah blah, not because of their service or lack of or anything. I previously have done a repair here and was very happy with the results so I definitely thought of this location when something happened to my car another time around. Sergio was helpful in that he emailed me paper work, answered the questions, even ones that were dumb, but be was patient and kind about it and overall very helpful. he provided me with an estimate and all my paperwork even though I couldn’t get my car repaired here, which j greatly appreciated. I have had good experiences here and do recommend them to others!

If I could add 10 more stars I would!!! I was prepared to spend at least an hour and a half waiting for my inspection after some dbag had ended my car! After this accident happened, claim process was a ridiculous long drawn out experience for what should have been simple since he rear-​ended me!!! Unfortunately it was far from it with the exception of my inspection at European Collision Center! I called at about 11:30 to see if I can get an appointment today, they were available right after i got off work and gave me a 115pm appointment. Even though I was 45 minutes late for that appointment I was taken care of immediately! I got here at a little after 2 p.m. and its 2:30 now and I’ve been done for about 10 minutes! Not only did they already send the estimate to the responsible parties insurance company they also scanned my medical records from the collision
that I had with me and emailed those to that insurance company as well! They are fast courteous and definitely know what good customer service is! From the moment someone answers the phone, to when I walked in the door and all the way until I pulled out of the driveway I was treated like a million dollar spending VIP and I didn’t even spend a dime! A lot of times when a place like this realizes you’re not getting the work done right then all the extra time and attention that they were giving you disappears immediately but even after I said I wasn’t getting the work done right now Tricia still scanned the medical records for me! And Monica at the front desk is also amazing!!! the office AC, on this 87° day was also pretty Fabolous!

A few years ago I met Angie after my BMW 535i was involved in a front end accident. This place was recommended by BMW. Basically the whole front end of the car was replaced (Almost 15k in repairs)… in about a week the car was fixed to PERFECTION.
I traded the car in before the accident hit the car fax and needless to say they didn’t even suspect a thing… they must have assumed it was my spare, garage-​princess car ;)
Forward 2 years and my current BMW just got some bumper /​taillight damage. Some idiot hit it parked and didn’t leave a note or anything :(
I instantly thought to visit Angie and she has been flawlessly orchestrating the process again… from part orders to loaner car pick up/​drop off… So glad she was still there!

My baby looks brand new! :)
It also got detailed inside and out to PERFECTION which doesn’t hurt…
Don’t trust your expensive babies to be repaired anywhere else…

**A repair shop with questionable technicians and an owner who will call and berate you. Highly do not recommend taking any vehicle here with moderate to major damages.**
I initially decided to take my Mercedes to this shop for a major accident repair work based on the fantastic reviews here. The front right side of my vehicle was bashed in and required more than $ 12,000 dollars of repair.
I took my car in for work last November 2014 and a month later received a vehicle that I perceived to be a wholly fixed. Not a couple weeks after receiving my car, I began to hear significant metal-​on-​metal screeching whenever I turned my car to the right. Initially I thought the sound was actually coming from other cars driving near me and thought, «Wow, those guys really need to fix their breaks». Later I realized that it was actually my car making the noise.
I finally had some free time to take the car back to the shop in May 2015. While I sat in the lobby, European Collision Center took 3 hours to try to pinpoint the noise and concluded that the sound was most likely not a function of the accident but rather the depreciation of certain parts in the vehicle from use. I kindly reminded the technician that my car was pretty much brand new and had less than 10,000 miles on it. After spending some more time fidgeting around, they told me that they could not pinpoint the noise and deferred me to the Mercedes Dealership.
I drove to the dealership only to find out that I would need to schedule many weeks in advance to get service on the weekend. So I took my car to a boutique shop in the city to take another look at the problem. The main technician inspected the vehicle and within an hour, told me that my car’s wheel hub and bearing was actually damaged from the accident.
At that time I was thinking, how the hell does a big shop like European Collision Center, who advertises on their website that they are «factory certified by Mercedes» and «a full service collision and body repair facility» that will «from the very beginning analyze your vehicle for any major or minor damage» miss something like this?
I’m very glad that the boutique shop was able to find this damage but now I begin to question the competence of European Collision Center’s technicians. I now drive my car wondering, «What else could they have missed?»
After spending over 12 hours of my time trying to fix this negligence from European Collision Center, of course I called and complained to them about this situation and requested some sort of compensation: a verbal apology from the owner or a car wash, whatever. A week later I receive a call from one of the owners (Dennis K.) after he comes back from vacation. Instead of being apologetic for the situation, he is furious and begins to actually yell and curse at me for requesting compensation. I quietly reminded him that his behavior was unacceptable especially coming from an owner and ended the call. Shame on him. (I’m sure the owner will respond to this comment. Its up to you to take my word as a fellow consumer or an owner trying to justify his actions.)
In the end, I give this place a 2-​star instead of a 1-​star because of the friendly staff member Angie who, even in this bad situation, tried to help me with a smile and some humor. If your car has minor scratches or dents, I’m sure European Collision can take care of it. But if your car has moderate or major damages, I would not trust the technicians or the owners to take care of you. There are so many vehicle repair shops in the Bay Area with fantastic reviews, why risk wasting your time going here.

This must be the worst experience I have ever had. First they demanded to see a estimate before I was even able to schedule an appointment so they could pre order parts even though the other insurance company would be paying and needed to do estimate at shop. Since I had been here before and did like the service I decided to jump through the hoop to get it in. I scheduled an appointment for the 11^th. This was on the 29^th so that is a two week wait. Now I call to confirm my appointment to find that not only were no parts pre ordered but my appointment was never scheduled either. So I asked for the quickest appointment and they told me the 19. This shop is a joke no respect for their customer or their time which since they charge an arm and a leg does not seem like a good business practice. So unless you like being ripped off and ignored stay clear of this place.

Wonderful quality work here. I’ve been rear ended twice and took my car here both times. When I got my car back, it looked brand new! Plus they wash and detail your car while they have it, which is such a nice bonus! Definitely on the pricier side as far as auto body shops go, but I trust their work and know my car will come back looking great.

On Friday 04÷17÷15 at around 2pm, I took my 2015 Subaru STI at European Collision Center for an estimate after Farmers Insurance recommended me that place because the place that Progressive insurance recommended me (My Insurance) was useless. Sergio Hernandez assisted me right away and helped me out with my claim, He was very helpful and kept me informed of the process. On Tuesday morning I dropped off my Car and was able to get it back on Friday afternoon just like new, even if they have to order extra parts after they found additional damages. Great customer service and amazing job. I definitely recommend this body shop.

I am editing my review below and raising it from a 3 stars to 5 stars. Things recovered quickly after I wrote my last review. We picked our car up that Saturday, the delay was still inconvenient but we were blown away with the quality of work they did. I honestly can’t tell if there’s been any damage or not. Everything feels and drives like new. They did an excellent job on the paint and handed the car back to us spotless, they even touched up a ding inside the door which was most likely not related to the accident.
Happy to recommend them.

We have dropped off our car after a collision that impacted the front corner of our BMW. Mainly, the damage was around the headlights, part of the hood and we needed some of the airbags replaced as they went off during the collision. They have provided a thorough estimate and even though the rates were on the higher end, we were OK with what was quoted since insurance would help us cover the cost and the reviews so far indicate that they do careful work.
We haven’t picked the car up yet and so far we have been underwhelmed with the service. We were initally quoted 2 – 3 weeks and it’s been 30 days today since we dropped off. What’s more bothersome is we still haven’t been given a firm date/​time even though our pickup is imminent (it was scheduled today until around noon where we were told it may now shift to Friday).
This makes things complicated for us as we have to coordinate a rental on and off and shuffle our work calendars for an expected pick up date. Communication and timeliness need improvement as updates only come when we ping them to inquire about the progress.
I will be sure to update the review once we get to see the resulting work and comment on the quality of the workmanship. I hope this happens sometime soon.

Absolutely incredible service by Angie and Ludwig and staff. They are super patient with customers, great at negotiating with car insurance so that the car gets repaired correctly, and have an eye for perfection. Customer satisfaction is a priority at this shop.
Ludwig is very knowledgeable about car repairs (he manages the operations) and always has a positive disposition. He uses the highest quality German paint and clear coats (super important if your car is white). The technicians are very well trained working with BMW, Mercedes Benz, and other high-​end cars and have tons of experience by virtue of being employees at the shop for a long time (10+ years). He hires only the best (he even has one employee that was tested superbly on color discrimination and does all the color matching). I’ve also heard the shop provides good benefits to their employees which says a lot about the ownership and character of the business. Finally, they stand behind their work and will correct any imperfections.
This body shop is not about mass production (getting the number of cars repaired high) but rather about quality repair work for customers that love their cars.
I’ve taken my cars 4x over the years and will continue to do so because I know they will do an excellent job.

I chose European Collision Center based upon the reviews posted on Unilocal.I took my 2013 Porsche Cayenne in for repair. I was an idiot and tried to get a big car past a pole in a tight spot and the right rear door was beaten up. I went in for an estimate that included replacing the shell of the door and blending the paint into the front and rear panels. Due to a variety of factors, I decided to not go through insurance and my car is currently in the shop. I received a call that the estimate was off by more than 500 $+ for the parts associated with replacing the shell of the door which were not included in the estimate.
For repairs where its not certain what the problem is, such as a problem with the engine, I can understand that estimates may be way off. This difference confused me.
Update:
I posted a review on Unilocal and also complained to the person helping me at ECC, Sergio. I received a follow up call from Dennis and he also emailed me to find out more about my concerns.
When Dennis became involved– I could see why so many people had great things to say about ECC’s customer service. Dennis explained their estimate process and felt that there had been a communication problem from their side. He worked with me to resolve the situation and I greatly appreciate his efforts.
I picked up my car this week and it looks brand new. All evidence of my parking stupidity have been erased and you can’t tell that the damage ever existed.
The car was spotless on pick up and everyone in the front office was professional and friendly.
My advice to anyone paying cash would be to have a very frank discussion about costs and the likelihood that the estimate may not be the actual price. That being said, I would use ECC again. The work quality is excellent.

I had a bit of damage occur on the bumper of my 2010 Mercedes Benz E 350 about a week ago. As It was only a month ago that I purchased this car from Mercedes-​Benz Of San Francisco, naturally this small accident was to say the least, disconcerting. Not knowing where I should bring the vehicle, I called MBOSF and they referred me to European Collision Center.
From the moment I called and spoke to the receptionist, I was put at ease. Can’t say enough about Trish, the estimater. She helps coordinate the insurance procedures and explains it in great detail. She’s patient and attentive. Always there to answer a question in a timely and friendly manner.
My car is expected to be ready tomorrow 11/​12, late afternoon. I will update this reviews star rating from 4 to 5 stars after inspecting and testing the repairs.
I’m sure their going to pass with flying colors given all of the positive feedback they’ve received from past customers.

My parents’ needed an auto body shop in regards to their car being hit (and undrivable from San Francisco). Their insurance listed European Collision Center as a preferred dealer. With a preferred dealer/​auto repair center, the insurance would communicate with the venue and my parents were out of the loop. This was very convenient for them as they did not have to go between insurance and the body shop. So, the center was amazingly convenient and time-​saving.
Additionally, the person whom I worked with was in contact with me to update me on the status of the vehicle, which was important in regards to knowing when to return the rental car.
When picked up, the car was in amazing condition. It was thoroughly cleaned. The dealership that my parents bought this car from did not provide the car as clean as European Collision center when taken for service there. The automobile was received in immaculate condition and they were flexible in terms of when to pick the car up. Given that the rental needed to be returned and such, we had to leave the car in their lot for 2 days. Other places have a daily fee for each day you pick them up, which is not the case here.
Again, great service, convenient service, and overall good workmanship.

We had brought our 2012 E55 in for a fender hit some jerk did to my car. The service was top notch. I was informed of what the process was and had great follow up during the fix.
They did not hide extra charges! No surprise fees — just good service.

I almost didn’t write a review because, obviously, they really don’t need it given they have so many great reviews. I felt that to be fair though I should put my 2 cents in and post my appreciation for Dennis and European Collision.
I will be short (yeah yeah I am short) and to the point:
— I am a car nut.
— I am super picky about anything done to my vehicles; truth be told I notice and am even picky about things done to other people’s cars.
— I have a history of not being pleased with work done to my cars and/​or treatment.
— European Collision passed with flying colors both in the work they did and how they treated me as well as my car.
Thank you Dennis, please keep up the high standards so that if I need your services again (god forbid ;) I will know my car is in good hands.

With less than a year of ownership, my car was hit in the back by a giant white charter bus. It was an unfortunate situation, and I wanted to find a place that would take the best care of it. Based on Unilocal,I decided to take my damaged car here.
When Sergio inspected it, he estimated that it would take about 3.5 weeks to finish, which was fine with me. In the meantime, I was stuck with a rental car to get me around. If you’re ever in the market for a small car that’s easy to park in the city, try a Chevy Spark! It’s cheap, space efficient, easy on gas, has 4 doors, and surprisingly fun to drive. I kind of miss that quirky car. Anyway, Sergio updates me and informs me that it’ll take a bit longer. This didn’t bother bother me as I’m a patient person, and I know quality work takes time. After about 4.5 weeks, my car was ready for pickup, and it looked great. The paint was matched correctly, and the panels were fitted properly. I was really impressed.
However, after I drove it home, I noticed a peculiar rattle. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong on my own, so ECC didn’t hesitate to take a look. After two trips back to their shop, the rattle was finally resolved. My experience doesn’t sound like the best one, but the way they handled the issue put my frustrations at ease. They were quick to accommodate me, and sincere about fixing my problem. Everyone makes mistakes, but they owned up to it and strived to ensure that I spend as little additional time as possible in their shop. I felt their top priority was the customer’s happiness, and I respect that.
