When we decided to have a small wedding on the Each Beach of Crissy Field in San Francisco in two weeks, nobody believed that we could make it. Sheila and her team were the only wedding planning company that was willing to do it for us, and she promised to make a successful one. She did kept her promise, and better! In merely two weeks, she managed everything, including the ceremony, location reservation, reception, officiant, all the props and more. During the ceremony, I felt so safe when she was around, because I knew I can trust her to handle any unexpected situation. That two weeks are like a wild dream to me, it happened so quick, yet the ending is so successful, and all thanks to Sheila and her team.
Sheila is very resourceful, when others give up due to limited time, she can make it as smooth and elegant as possible. With her help, we were able to conquer bad weather and other emergencies (like the wedding dress my wife ordered failed to deliver). Her wedding planning team is definitely among the best!

Thank you Sheila for going above and beyond as our wedding planner. Even with four main events, two wedding ceremonies and 520 guests, our wedding was flawless and everything was on time. Sheila was involved in all events starting on Wednesday through Sunday (day after wedding). She was involved in our Garba (Friday Night), Hindu Ceremony (10am Saturday), Catholic ceremony (3pm) and our cocktail/​reception in the evening. Sheila and her staff were amazing throughout the whole process. Guests are still commenting on how organized our wedding was. Choosing Sheila as our planner was one of the best decisions we made. Our daughter was married last week and everything went extremely well thanks to Sheila, who managed to take care of every detail. It became obvious when we hired her over a year before the wedding that we had made the right decision when she helped us to pick out the perfect venue, and negotiated a very reasonable pricing package, including discounted block rooms for our guests who traveled from out of town to attend.
She counseled us all along the way, and was there for every big decision we had to make. The day of the wedding I knew everything would be just fine, because she had confirmed and arranged for every detail to go smoothly, and that feeling of confidence alone was priceless. I can’t thank her enough for ensuring that this very special day would be absolutely perfect!

I’ll add my voice to the chorus of satisfied customers! Sheila did a great job from start to finish, and I’m recommending her to my friends and family. As the «guy» in the wedding planning process, most other vendors put me in the backseat and didn’t pay much attention to me. But Sheila was always receptive to my ideas and input, and was a pleasure to work with. On top of all that, Sheila was cost-​effective — her help with picking vendors and getting good pricing made a big difference in the bottom line.

We just had our wedding this past weekend, and every single detail was just perfect. We were able to relax on the day of and take it all in, because Sheila worried about (and took care of) all the little details. The things I wouldn’t have thought of (getting the marriage license signed and delivering it safely to our room, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time, working with the band and sound guys to make sure our vows could be heard, setting up a table for cards/​gifts and delivering them to our room after the reception, making sure we got a plate of food from the cocktail hour to eat something before the reception started, helping me pin my dress in places it was snagging, etc). There are way too many details to worry about during a wedding, and Sheila took care of every single one. I don’t know how she managed to be everywhere at once, but she did it.
We had an outdoor ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel Roof Garden. Sheila and the florist she works with, Crispy, set up the most GORGEOUS display ever, in the garden, the cocktail hour, and the Crown Room. I was blown away. Sheila deserves all of the credit for making our special day perfect.

Sheila is a phenomenal planner. Her personality makes it easy for anyone to not only get along with her, but trust her and know they are in good hands. She is super connected in the Bay Area with numerous florists, photographers, and venue management.
Sheila thinks of everything, ever! All details under her supervision are perfect to a T and she is super good at making her couples feel comfortable on their big day.
I have worked with her on numerous weddings in the past and found that even if something out of her control Is happening, she finds a solution before anyone even notices there was a problem. I highly recommend her for your planning needs if you need someone who will grasp your vision for your perfect wedding :)

My husband and I hired Sheila to help plan our Vows Renewal celebration in Napa. Having attempted to plan a wedding on my own once before (and suffering a nervous breakdown in the process), I knew the enormity of the task — so 5 years later, with the addition of an active 2 year old to care for, I knew I would need some extra help.
I met Sheila randomly at a Wedding Fair, and we clicked instantly — Sheila was friendly, personable, genuine, and I knew right away that I wanted her to help me plan my wedding.
At the time of the initial meeting, we hadn’t decided on ANYTHING — mainly because my husband and I had such different ideas on everything. That’s where Sheila stepped in, as mediator, negotiator, and organizer.
Taking into account our taste and budget, she organized all our venue site tours, the tasting, the DJ, the strings, the flowers, my hair and make-​up artist, table decorations, tree lanterns, toiletry baskets, wedding favors, the rehearsal, the timeline, AND came with me to all my dress fittings!
Sheila was such an invaluable resource during the entire planning process, as she has such a wide network of vendors, and each time I realised I was missing something, Sheila came to my rescue with a list of recommendations. She came to the rehearsal in Napa the night before the wedding, then drove back to San Francisco in order to pick up my flowers early next morning and bring them to Napa.
On the day of the wedding, I was so relaxed, as I knew that Sheila and her team would take care of everything, and ensure that all vendors knew where to go, and that everything was in place at the right time. The entire wedding day was perfect, everything ran smoothly, and Sheila was by my side each time I needed her — whether it was to hand me my jacket, re-​apply my lipstick, bustle my dress, or change my shoes (I had 3 pairs!). And I forgot to mention that Sheila is GREAT with kids! By around 9:00pm, our 2yr old was tired and cranky, so Sheila took him outside and sang/​rocked him to sleep, so my husband could come back to enjoy the party!
I honestly cannot say enough good things about Sheila — she has been our friend, confidant and personal assistant over the last 6 months, and I will certainly miss seeing her so often. As another reviewer stated, she does not set limits on the number of meetings, calls, or emails — she always has time for you, and responds to all messages very promptly.
Sheila, it’s been such a pleasure working with you — you have my highest recommendations, and I’m so glad I ran into you at that wedding fair back in March! :)

My husband and I hired Sheila in February 2013 to help plan our wedding in July 2014. Over the last 16 months, Sheila became more than our wedding planner; she became our friend. She’s warm, funny, and easy to talk to, and unlike other planners that we had interviewed before, didn’t try to nickel and dime us by setting limits for the number of vendor meetings or face-​to-​face meetings that we could have with her, or charging extra for «overtime» or pre– and post-​wedding activities (e.g., rehearsal dinner, post-​wedding brunch).
I was very involved in planning the wedding because I had a very specific vision in mind, and Sheila was the best partner that I could have asked for throughout the process — she always took my calls, met with me whenever I wanted, came with us to meet/​interview vendors, recommended and negotiated with vendors (the woman knows how to bargain!), helped me to stay on track, handled difficult situations/​people like a pro, and basically did everything she could to help me achieve the wedding of my dreams. She even came with me to every single dress fitting that I had (and I had many!).
On the big day, she and her team of assistants (Evelyn, et al.) were absolutely AMAZING! We had two ceremonies at two separate locations, and they worked together seamlessly to make sure that everything ran smoothly. It was a loooonggg day, and they were there for me from start to finish. We had a very elaborate design for the second ceremony and reception venue, and they worked with all of our vendors to get everything set up perfectly and in time. While all of our vendors were fantastic, the Event Solutions team was the glue that held everything together. :)
Now that the wedding is over, I’m sad that I won’t have an excuse to meet up with Sheila and Evelyn anymore, but I’m looking forward to hanging out with them as friends! My husband and I got married a few months ago (so this review is slightly overdue!), and Sheila was our wedding planner.
Summary: Our wedding day was AMAZING!
Sheila was a great planner for the following reasons:
1. Planning Process: I hear other’s talk about wedding-​planning horror stories, and I have to say our wedding planning process was FAR from a horror! Sheila helped simplify options (because there are SO many!), made the perfect recommendations and handled all negotiations and contracts (not my favorite part at all so this was extremely helpful!).
2. Wedding Day = BEAUTIFUL! Everything looked so pretty. Right before I walked down the aisle, I walked through the reception hall. (This was the most discrete way to get to the ceremony location.) I was so focused on getting to the ceremony that it didn’t even occur to me that I would be seeing the reception hall in final form. As soon as I walked in, the set up took my breath away. It was such an awesome feeling to be so caught up in my nerves, but then see how beautiful our kings tables, flowers, centerpieces and sweetheart table all looked! It put a big smile on my face right before walking out to see my groom. :)
3. Stress-​Free: Sheila kept reminding me as we got closer to the wedding to not stress or worry about anything because she would take care of it. And so, while not worrying about anything a week or two out is probably almost impossible for any bride, I have to say exactly three days from the wedding I literally stopped worrying about everything, ha! Sheila assured me that she’d handle everything, and she did. Things went smoothly on the day of the wedding!
4. FUN! We had SO much fun. I mean, I shouldn’t speak for others, but I know I had so much fun! The venue was beautiful; we stayed on schedule; and the vendors were all organized! Everything just came together so well, and Sheila did such an amazing job with making sure this all happened.

I waited for a while to post a response because we were busy and because I wanted to wait until I was no longer so stressed from the wedding. I honestly hope that anyone else hiring Sheila has a different experience from us, but
our experience with Sheila was really bad. I spent the week before my wedding having to take care of things that I hired Sheila to do myself and crying because I was so stressed out. The day of the wedding, my mother and I also had to spend much of the time covering things that Sheila had not taken care of. The wedding party kept joking throughout the wedding about how bad of a wedding planner Sheila was. The only thing that I can say that is good about her is that she showed up on the day of the wedding and that she offered to and took care of tying the ribbons on the chairs.
I tried writing a review which included all of or a summary of all of the things that Sheila failed to do as a wedding planner, but it was always too long. The truth is that there were so many things that it would probably take up several pages which is not allowed on Unilocal and which is probably too long for anyone to read. And in any event, I’m not sure how useful it is for me to rehash them as I think everyone can see for themselves whether she will be a good fit. But FYI, my parents gave her a tip at the wedding only because there were still things pending after she left such as the pictures, videos, etc… for the wedding and they were concerned that she would sabotage them if they did not tip her. They thought that tipping was expected (like tipping a waiter at a restaurant) and tipped her so as to avoid any issues soon after the wedding. However, to this day, the thing that we all agree on is that we regret hiring Sheila.
In any event, I didn’t write this to indicate that Sheila won’t be a good wedding planner for someone else, but I can just say that she was definitely not a good wedding planner for us. I saw some people write reviews saying that they liked Sheila because she was like their friend, and if what you need is only a friend, this may work out for you. I do think though that her response to our previous review shows a lack of interest in her client and a failure to take responsibility, and it makes me even more sure that she was definitely, for us the worst vendor that we had at our wedding.

This is long overdue. I hired Sheila to be our wedding planner for our San Francisco wedding last May 19, 2012. Since some of the larger bookings were already reserved she came on board for partial planning, but I feel she gave us so much more.
Sheila kept me, the bride, sane and organized from having to keep the family from both sides happy, and she kept us on schedule with all the necessary milestones in getting things done. Her vendors also worked out beautifully. When my mother and bridesmaids couldn’t make the dress fitting appointment Sheila happily met me there for support.
On the day of, everything went smoothly. If there were any issues, I didn’t know about it and felt relaxed knowing she and her staff would take care of the décor, vendors, contracts, guests, etc. I feel we collaborated really well, and this has extended beyond my wedding. We are friends and have worked together for a few of her clients since last year (I’m a graphic designer). It’s a joy working with Sheila.

I attended a wedding in June that was fun and filled with excitement, and I wasn’t even a guest. I was the Father-​of-​the-​Bride. The very successful and relaxed affair was the result of all the preparations orchestrated by my daughter’s event planner, Sheila Dizon of Event Solutions. The entire evening felt like an Oscar after-​party with a room full of happy winners getting the red-​carpet treatment.
When there was an issue with the catering contract, Sheila calmly said, «I’ll take care of it». And she did. I could see joy in my daughter and son-in-law’s faces, mainly, because Sheila was shouldering all the responsibilities. From the top she put them at ease. When I came up with a «cast of thousands» production number for my speech, Sheila adapted beautifully to the surprise and kept the cameras rolling. I had only one chance to be in this role. We were introduced to Sheila by my sister, who recommended her as a great wedding planner. And she was right.
We didn’t give Sheila a lot to work with, what with being rushed, and having to do quite a bit of our communications long distance and all. But Sheila really came through and gave us advice and suggestions. The DJ and photographer she recommended (Aldwin Estoesta and Sherman Chu, respectively) were both excellent. I don’t think we’d have any problems telling anyone planning a wedding to contact Sheila and give her a try.

It has been a few months since I got married. My fiancé and I had been engaged for a while, but never really thought much about «the wedding». One day we decided to just go for it, and we wanted to get it done as soon as possible. We decided to plan our wedding in 2 months. This way we wouldn’t feel bad if our friends couldn’t go since they might have made other plans on our wedding day. We wanted our guest list to be short. it didn’t work. :) So, our first thought was to hire a planner. We found Sheila on Unilocal and we are very grateful to my fellow Unilocalers that we found her. She’s great!
We interviewed a few planners and when we met Sheila we liked her a lot. She’s personable and professional. Her rates are reasonable. We felt very comfortable and she seemed that she loves what she does. The other planners seemed a little tired. I mean I am tired just thinking about what we had to do to get the list of people to invite and their addresses. I can’t imagine doing this all the time. Sheila became my fiancé’s (now my wife) bff. I am not kidding. She spoke to Sheila more than she spoke to her maid of honor. She is readily available and goes out of her way to make sure that everything gets done.
Sheila guided us at every step and assisted us to make the right decision. On our wedding day, my wife and I had a great time with our guests. The wedding was beautiful. It is more than we expected and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Sheila and her team. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Sheila was definitely a life saver, both before and during the wedding. We started out by trying to plan our wedding but really, if you aren’t the type of people who have been dreaming about it, you really don’t have any idea where to start. You easily get overwhelmed with number of options and choices and don’t really know where to start. For us, we decided that we wanted to definitely hire a wedding planner because I have had friends who did not have one and I saw how much stress that the bride was going through on what is supposed to be her special day.
It worked out even better than I imagined when we hired Sheila. Basically, we decided to read a few reviews and then meet them in person to get a feel for their personality and our chemistry. From the first minute that we met her, we could tell that she was full of energy and had plenty of ideas. She has done plenty of weddings before and was able to patiently answer our questions. She helped us set up appointments with potential vendors and went with us to most of those appointments. We were able to lean on her experience in dealing with wedding vendors to help us decide. Also, don’t worry about Sheila trying to push her to her favorite vendors, nearly of our vendors originated as our choice but by the end of our wedding, it felt like she knew them better than we did. We did get one recommendation on the DJ and he worked out better than we thought.
One bonus also for grooms, Sheila quickly became very good friends with my bride, so she provided a secondary outlet for her. This was extra nice in the sense where I knew that my fiancée would also have someone to speak with for wedding related items. I will say that it certainly made my life easier! After all, for most guys, what do we really know about things such as shoes or color schemes or flower types? Sheila really helped my fiancée simplify things for me by coming up with a few ideas and asking my opinion. Otherwise, the conversation would have been along the lines of
«What kind of flowers do you like?»
«Er, I dunno…»
«You never help with anything!!» (Storms out)
Ok that’s an exaggeration but guys, you know what I’m talking about!
As for the wedding day itself, Sheila was a whirlwind of activity. From coordinating with all of our vendors, to making sure everyone was where they needed to be, to helping the helpless groom and his groomsmen with their boutonnieres, she made life so much easier. I’ll guarantee that my wife would have had some kind of a nervous breakdown if it wasn’t for Sheila. But basically, we just had to show up, get ready, and she told us where we needed to be. One thing I remember from the end of the wedding night was the sight of Sheila, sitting in a chair, looking exhausted because she was basically everywhere that day/​evening.
I cannot recommend her more highly. For future grooms — hire her. Right away… It’ll be the best first decision you ever made in your new life with your future ball and chain. I mean wife!

Sheila gave me the perfect wedding.
Sheila was the 2^nd wedding planner we interviewed last Oct and we felt the instant connection with her. We hired her soon after our meeting. Throughout the 11 months of planning, she was always there for my husband and I; she learned about our tastes and interests to make the wedding more personal, more fun, and more us. She went out of her way to go to all the meetings with us; meeting with hotel event coordinator, florist, even dress shopping! And guess who went to my dress alteration appointments with me? Not my mom, not my MOH, Sheila did. She really went above and beyond.
At the day of my wedding, Sheila was running everywhere to make sure all the vendors were here on time for setup, making sure everything was okay. She was the superwoman. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. All I did was sitting in my room waiting for my makeup artist to show up. We really couldn’t do it without her.
Sheila is young, fun, has good taste; Sheila is a perfectionist. Thank you Unilocal for helping us found Sheila!!! I will definitely recommend her to friends and families who have weddings and special events coming their way!

Sheila is amazing.
I was unconvinced at first that I needed a wedding planner. Looking back, I truly do not know what I would have done without her. Seriously, that’s not an exaggeration in any way. (I think my mother an I would have killed each other if we had to do it ourselves.)
She’s interesting, smart, and funny on a personal level; hard working, incredibly driven and impeccably professional in her work. She went out of her way for us throughout the planning process: from driving us all around town to see venues to maping every detail of our eccentric and ‘unique’ wedding. She is a wealth of professional knowledge and saved us a lot of money in venues and an astonishing amount of time one everything else.
The event was a dream come true. Everything went off without a hitch. Although I’m sure there were challenges to be delt with throughout the day, as the bride, none of them touched me. I had a completely perfect day. I’m actually getting a little misty thinking back on it.

As a guy helping to plan my wedding, I never gave much thought to paying money for a wedding planner. However, I’m glad my wife convinced us to use Sheila. There many details and loose ends that need to be manged prior to a wedding, it is so important to have someone experienced to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly. I can not imagine to have worried about last minute details during our wedding day. Because of Sheila’s wedding planning expertise, I was able to focus on my bride and my guests on the big day — Sheila focused on everything else!

It usually takes that «special/​or not so special something» to propel me to write a review… and this one is definitely that «special something.»
I was a Maid of Honor in a wedding during the summer in SF this year and boy… I WAS IMPRESSED! For goodness sake, I was the Maid of Honor and part of my duties was to make sure the bride was taken cared of and everything going smoothly but when the bride surprised me that there was going to be a wedding planner involved…(I have a newborn and a toddler to deal with) wheew…
Sheila Dizon and her crew were AMAZING!!! Professional, efficient, friendly… the whole event was seamless and when she showed me that timeline of hers… I’m like… WOW…talk about organization… and also the fact that she practically help planned the entire wedding, you would think I would feel left out but… not her… she kept all of us in the loop, what was happening, what’s going to happen, brainstormed together… I was so so happy to see her on wedding day cuz I already knew that I would have my hands full with my kids and Sheila and her crew being there, TREMENDOUSLY helped keep my stress and the bride’s anxieties in check. Totally awesome crew and would definitely recommend. As a matter of fact, I already did to my toddler’s teacher who is getting married next year.

Wedding: a celebration of life long commitment between two lovers.
bride’s definition: a woman’s life long dream (with every little detail planned — from how many people there will be at the wedding to what shade of blue her underwear will be) turned into reality
groom’s definition: no comment.
bridesmaid’s definition: a nonchalant feeling — happy because your friend is getting married but also scared because your friend is getting married and the fangs come out if her wedding doesn’t go her way.
When I learned that I was going to be a bridesmaid for a summer wedding in San Francisco, I thought I would have to help the bride (who is a good friend, but I also didn’t want to be co-​wedding planner with the rest of the bridal party. well, let’s just say — I don’t do well with group projects).
That all changed though when I heard that there was a wedding planner involved, I was relieved. Apparently my friend (smart girl) selected the BEST package with Sheila and this meant that Sheila took care of every little detail — flowers. cake. napkins. food. dj. everything.
And Sheila is a young, hip woman. She knew the bride’s and groom’s taste and catered to what they wanted. She also gave her opinions on what should/shouldn’t be done due to her experience of planning other events — weddings, parties, business parties, etc. Sheila seriously made my friend’s wedding day. The bride relaxed (and this girl can get pretty stressed.) and did not have to worry about a single thing — Sheila was always near her to make sure if the bride needed anything, she would be there to answer questions, help with the bridal party, help with last minute changes/details…I mean, Sheila did it ALL.
Sheila is much more than a wedding planner — she goes out of her way to make sure everything is o.k. and that the bride is relaxed and content. I have never seen my friend/​the bride glow the way she did that day. Of course, it was because all of her friends, family members were there to celebrate such a beautiful day — but it was also because Sheila had helped so much — more than just the administrative, planning details. Sheila made sure to make my friend’s dream turn into reality.
I also went to a birthday party that Sheila threw for a mutual friend of our’s. Sheila did a fantastic job. I went from going to a complex wedding that she organized to a fun birthday party that she planned at a club.
I’m kicking myself for not reviewing Sheila as soon as I should have, but I am waiting for her to throw some more parties and events so I could get a better idea of how many stars I should really give her.
I have a birthday coming up in August.
I’m going to Sheila.
